Constant crash and buggy updates

Put my faith into this concept app from the start, but the good idea was just too good for the company to keep up with. Constant updates to fix ever present bugs, coupled with Apple’s changes, leads to a design that looks good from the outside with Pinterest-like boards, but under the hood there’s nothing but a monthly bill and half-filled promises of exports, back-ups and new features.

All glitz. Call an exterminator for the bugs. Don’t put any effort into the creation of boards or albums. They will be gone next time there’s an update or when you restart. Their promise of having back ups is reliable with its unreliability.

Beautiful App

this app is a clean, minimal app that's perfect for curating, organizing and ordering images for exhibitions and publications. I haven't found any other app that does the job so easily and efficiently. I haven't experienced any problems such as crashing. I'd love to see a few more features in the future, such as the ability to create duplicate boards and copy images from one board to another.

Great idea but Constant crashes and unreliable

It is such a great idea. Curator has a future if they put effort into fixing all the bugs and making it stable. There is no app like this in the market but it seems they can’t see it’s profit before someone else gets their idea and actually keeps up with it. I bought the purchased version and it worked fine but i after an update I lost my boards and it wont even sync across devices like it promised. Feel so cheated out of my money but uninstalled it as all the time spent on the boards was wasted.

Nice Ui for useless app

It looks nice. That's it.
PDF export does one image a page. Board doesn't hold an image from a webpage which defeats the whole purpose of a visual bookmarking app. Also only opens sites inside Curator itself and you can't get out. If you end up clicking another link while stuck in their garbage browser there are no back buttons so you've just lost your bookmark. Login and sync doesn't work. Confoundingly incompetent integration of its only features. It doesn't need to do much but can't even do that well.

Premium functions don’t function - no customer support

I paid for premium and Curator ’s premium functions remained locked off. I tried restoring the purchase and reinstalling to no avail. I also tried creating an account but every time I submitted a name and password Curator just hung. Finally I contacted customer support via email and I received an email that the recipient’s mailbox was full or was receiving too many emails. Refund.

Do not buy crash crash crash

When it worked it was great but after moving to the newer IPad Pro 11” it will NOT work crash after crash. I remembered when APPLE use to care about these app creators and when they were not up to standard they will kick them off tell they fixed it. Now you pay with your hard earned money to get robbed with APPLE watching and doing nothing.

Can’t Log In to account

Was starting to have issues with the last operating system not bring not able to open properly but now I can’t even log in with this newer version that supposedly “fixed bugs”. I keep getting a message that there is “no internet connection” when I have full bars! This is so frustrating. Have lost 6 years of work. Thanks, this app!

Could have been nice.

Saw Curator featured on the Keynote when the iPad Pro was released. Thought it would be great for organizing and presenting. I keep returning to it thinking it may have been fixed, but no. Doesn’t sync, if you looged out you can't log back in. Every other app will prompt you with some sort a password help. this app is eternally frozen. Zero customer support. Could have been a great tool.

BIG OOOOFFFFF

I thought Curator which be great (which it is). But something felt strange about it, so I read the 2.6 star rating and reviews, and now I know why. Curator CRASHES CONSTANTLY, especially on the login. And the fact that people have spent so much time and money, and yet a year later the developers still don’t care makes me lose my mind.

Does not slide

Why would you go to the trouble of making this and not allow people to insert slides? You can only replace them? It’s completely counterintuitive to what people would use this for. Seems like it would be an easy fix no? I just finished doing 26 slides and I want to insert something between four and five. 🤦‍♂️

Sync hasn’t worked for months. All my work is just…gone.

this app’s back end appears to have been abandoned completely. The sync service hasn’t worked for months.

You might be tempted to try and use it as a standalone app, but the other day I launched this app and it had reset itself to defaults. And since the sync service is dead, all my work is just…gone.

The abandonment of this app is especially painful because there are really no other apps that do what this app did.

It was brilliant while it lasted.

No drag and drop support

Can’t take this seriously as a professional tool without drag and drop on the iPad. Having to save images and upload them is too cumbersome to make Curator useful.

Great for brainstorming visuals

We use this to plan any sort of visual media project. It's pretty simple and straightforward. Keep it up this app!

Complete rip off: highlighted as a great featured app for iPad 10.5

I will fight the charge of $19 for this useless pos. I bought premium thinking it would add the missing functionality. No difference between the basic and the premium!!! Don't fall for it

The Best!

There is nothing like this app in the world of apps. It’s indispensable for my projects. Thank you, this app!

No longer Syncs

Wish I didn't pay for the lifetime subscription. App no longer syncs with my iPad or the servers. Many photos lost, and customer support took a month just to tell me they can't help.

Elegant way to collect visual thoughts-- needs flexibility

this app - visual notes is an easy, graceful way to collect visual ideas. It also incorporates text and annotations seamlessly. However, more flexibility in organizing boards and an easier way to move images. I'd like to be able to re-order the flow of boards --move recently created boards to the beginning, or group boards together, such as by color or theme. It would be ideal if I could see thumbnails of all boards in a gallery view, making board movement easier. I'd also like to be able to drag and drop individual cells from one board to another, or even cut, paste and copy.

I did buy the full version, because for visual artists, the ability to collect images and show them together is addictive. I'd be happy to give Curator more stars when I can move the boards and cells around fluidly.

Was going to renew subscription...
