I used ZohoDocs years ago for what I thought to be excellent file/doc sharing and figured I’d revisit this tool to use again for my business. Unfortunately, I no longer have the email address used for log-in although I still have docs in the tool. I contacted customer service only to end up being directed to a voicemail since “all of their customer service agents are currently busy” all of the time. I was prepared to use their services in which I’d pay to use, but if customer service is like this, it sends a HUGE buyer beware for this. I’m actually very concerned (especially since someone else now owns the email address that I formerly had).

I don’t get the negative reviews. I’ve used Zoho apps for a couple of years. Couldn’t be happier. Syncs across all platforms and browsers seamlessly. I highly recommend all: email, calendar, spreadsheet, writer, and notebook.

ZohoDocs is completely pointless. You have to download a separate app to edit docs, plus it doesn't have the option for offline use. Even worse most of the time the docs can't open and have a "try again at a later time" message. So useless if you actually want to get work done.

Google “Zoho stuck loading” and such and you will learn all you need to know. This is for both Docs (aka their Drive) and their email. Mine has spun and not allowed access for hours including my restarting my phone.

I have NEVER experienced this with Google Drive.

Their solution is always to have you email them your account details so they can probe around your files. Apparently, there is never a global fix.

I have uninstalled ZohoDocs ; ideally when I reinstall, I might gain access to my files again.

Nice idea, but doesn’t sync properly. Stick with google. Even though I dislike google’s principles, they still have the best cloud storage and fairly decent e-mail. I like Zoho e-mail, but this cloud storage app doesn’t even qualify as average. If it doesn’t sync properly, then what’s the point?

I'd been waiting for Zoho to come out with an iPhone/iPad app so I was really excited to see this. Right now it looks like a good start, but there is so much more potential! Keep it coming!

The most obvious first upgrade is offline content. I want to be able to access my files while I'm sitting in the car, waiting for my kid's dance class to end. Wifi connections are just not as available as they should be, and offline workability is a must.

Next, I really want a Zoho app that will allow me to work on files from my iPad and cloud sync with my account. This is the one thing that all those other apps claiming to be "Google docs compatible" cannot do properly (because Apple and Google can't play nice in the sandbox), and I want to be able to turn to Zoho so I can just step out of that fight and get some work done on my iPad!

It doesn't let you edit. When you ask why, they push you towards work drive which was curved out broie it,..., well could do anything -- in other words doesn't work.

Wanted to use ZohoDocs but don’t understand what this token stuff is??

ZohoDocs is completely pointless for someone who has an iPod touch and doesn't have access to Wi-Fi all the time, everywhere they go. Also useless for someone with an iPhone, unless they want to use a bunch of data when their not on Wi-Fi. Everytime you open ZohoDocs it takes you online to view your documents.
And the website is super hefty, slowing down the computer. A computer is the only way you can create documents. You have to go to the website with your computer to create a document.
Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is a good idea and it almost works. It just needs a way to edit the documents from the iPhone/iPod and view/edit them offline.
Without these features ZohoDocs is almost useless to me.
I will check back later for an updated version to see if my suggestions were heeded. Because it has the potential to be a great app, and I will want it.

This was an excellent app when I had my iPhone 3G. But it is obvious that ZohoDocs has not been Ported either to the iPhone 4 or iOS 4.x Please fix this

This is one of the problems when you become dependent upon a third party cloud based application. Perhaps synching would entail a better experience ?

This is a well designed app that makes it easy to manage your Zoho documents and folders. It even lets you view detailed documents properties, change sharing and security of documents, etc. It is highly useful on both iPhone and iPad (Pro).

Even though I am giving it 5 stars, I think there is still room for improvement. The biggest missing feature (and I know this is difficult): You cannot edit the contents of spreadsheets using ZohoDocs . Editing of spreadsheets must be done through a full (desktop-class) web browser or other software. Also, the ability to view/change document properties on an open document would be a big plus.

This could be a good app if it worked. I lost all my saved documents I had created in it. All I did was close ZohoDocs , go to bed and the next morning when I opened ZohoDocs all the documents were blank. Hours of work wasted. This is by far the biggest issue obviously, if you can't trust your work will be there how can you even think about using ZohoDocs. I won't even go into the other areas of improvement, what's the point.

I would give it 5 stars but the latest update STILL LACKS ability to upload a document from my phone to zoho docs platform. Shouldn't this have been a primary motive for ZohoDocs? Every time I attempt to upload a document from my phone it creates an error message. PLEASE FIX!!!

Can't see shared folders on mobile app, can you fix?

It's a views only but I can't view any Word or PowerPoint files. Message says its downloading preview and will be available in a moment but it never shows up.

Views PDFs fine though.....

People really need a native client like this that will edit those files on the iPad and sync them back up to the Zoho documents folder.

Glad to see that can only now edit your docs, in addition to viewing and sharing them!

Super fast and easy to use. I have all my docs at my fingertips while on the road.

After the last update, ZohoDocs became unusable for me. I have a password on it and now the password entry screen comes up but there is no keypad to type it in! I can no longer access the files from my phone, only from my computer.

HUGE oversight! Fix this!!

I understand that this is just a file viewing tool. I can see the value in that, I suppose. However as it stands right now ZohoDocs is completely useless as it just quits to desktop every time I try to use it in any way.

I've had a zoho account for 2 years now! And I must say I am quite satisfied with ZohoDocs!
It's very organized, neat, never has an error or anything like that, and let's me log in 24/7.

Love ZohoDocs! And it's super easy to upload files to ZohoDocs !

I just wish the creators would create a zoho mail app!! As well!
