Cool app to use to monitor and record you're contractions. The reason why I'm giving it a 3 star rating and not 5 is because I use this app on my Apple Watch Series 1 and it is ALWAYS slow at starting up. I can press the 'start' button 8 times before it actually starts to work and by the time it does start my contraction has passed. I'm not quite sure if it's my watch that's slow or the app, however, I don't have this issue with any other apps. Aside from the slowness, it's a fabulous app! I show my doctor at every visit and it helps him gain further insight into my pregnancy.

This worked great for timing my contractions when I went into labor. It’s easy to edit the start/end time if I missed hitting the button in time. ONE COMPLAINT that would be an easy fix: when my water broke, I hit the water button and made a note of the color. When I got to the hospital, I looked back to see what time my water had broken, and I realized the app did not save the time!! I see now there’s an “edit” button at the top to add a time, but this was not obvious to me mid-labor in the middle of the night. What would be better is if a time automatically populates when the user hits the water button—with the option to edit it she needs. But not having a default time is a bummer.
At the end of the day, the hospital was happy with a rough estimate, but I was a little annoyed because I took the time to note it in the app.

During my birthing classes it was recommended to find a contraction counter so started searching and, honestly, I must have gone through every app available and completely hated the majority. The kick counter available on this app was a great bonus but the contraction counter is definitely the best free one out there.
During the first couple of hours of contractions when I wasn’t sure if I was going through “real labor” this made it very easy to track that my contractions were progressively closer together even tho it was a slower progression. Later, the large button to start the timer made it easy for me to hit the start and still accurately track my times even at the points when I didn’t want to look at my phone and break my focus.
Also to be noted, the app is user friendly enough that I could hand my phone to either of my support persons who had never used it and they could easily understand how to read the information without me having to explain the app over and again.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone and especially FTMs who aren’t completely sure what they are watching for with their first labor.
