Scanner not working at all used to work perfect please fix the problem

It does work prvided you have read the directions and have the proper lighting.
Functionality is a little slim. It would be nice to choose what stores we get our search results from; however I dont think there is a suitable online database which you can seach UPC codes for price comparison yet.
I spent a good 30 minutes today scanning books movies and misc products to see if it could be useful during a shopping trip, but not really satisfied from where the price results came from which were mostly online stores I had never heard of.
loads of potential here and its a free app.

For about 5 scans it would pull up multiple prices for different stores. Now it just pulls up ebay and no price every single time. So much promise. Unfortunately :(

This version is significant improvement over previous version which I gave one star that I felt it did not even deserve. My key complaint then was the assumption made by the application developer that the average user would be able to keep the camera steady enough to get a correct scan on the first try. I even suggested they incorporate image stabilizing software.

Well I am pleased to say the new live scan feature worked on the first try. I was at Costco and I wanted to get information on a Casio keyboard. I opened the application and positioned the phone so the UPC was visible. And before I knew it, the scan completed and it was actually correct on the first try! I was pleasantly surprised. The capture button on the screen that made it that much more difficult to get a steady image is gone in this version!

I see myself using this more often now. However I wonder how well it will worked on curved surfaces such as a soda bottle...

Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner has helped me find a product on the Internet many times when a local store doesn't have the size or color I'm looking for. It also helps me figure out whether the local price is reasonable considering the help I'm getting, and the "speed" of local pickup. It has saved me some major $$$ when the online price has been significantly less.

In most store lighting the barcode scanner works perfectly (with both my older 3GS phone/iOS 3, and my newer 4 iPhone), and the search feature is reliable. Sometimes I have to search the product box for the correct barcode (shoes often have two different barcodes), but only one will scan into pic2shop.

I love this little app, and it's one of the few I haven't put away into a folder on my iPhone 4.

Ok people who are saying that the scanner doesn't find any of the products they scan are obviously not scanning the right items. The scanner does not recognize food, drinks, living things, etc. because those things are not sold on the Internet. The scanner does not get data from stores!

The scanner does recognize almost all videos and books. It also recognizes most everyday items such as cleaning products, electronics, etc. If it's sold on the Internet(not including eBay or other sites that let any person advertise things they want to sell), it may be recognized by the scanner.

So, I downloaded Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner mainly because I saw the G1 commercial and was so mad the G1 can do this, but my fabulous iPhone cannot. And while, after reading the reviews I was expecting complete utter failure - I was surprisingly surprised :)

After about 64 or so tries, I actually got it to work...once. But then again, that's not entirely the developer's fault mainly because it has to do with the precision of the picture. But, if you have patience, really good lighting, and friends that are easily impressed... Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner does the trick.

Keep in mind, if you're planning on going to the store and comparing prices of things with Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner, you're going to be horribly dissapointed. However, if you're like me and enjoy sitting on the floor scanning all of your old movies 25 times until it works, then this is it!

This application is such a great one to have...scans books and other media barcode's in a matter of seconds and gives a list of stores that sell the product so you can compare pricing. Only this is I used to be able to email myself the results (either the last result or the previous 20), but with the most recent update, I can't figure out how to email or otherwise export more than the most recent entry scanned!! I really liked the ease of sending a list of the last 20 items, and wish I could figure out how to still do that!!

This is the first one that works pretty good. I have found that the item needs to be some what a NATIONAL products. I own a salon and most of my products where found. I went to a friends store and some of his items also came up. I checked out some books and it worked on newer ones and I tried it on some of my office supplies and also worked. If it doesn't scan you can input the UPS# and it will find it. Over all I am pleased and will us it before I purchase some items from now on.

I got Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner when it was first available and immediately was able to put it to use. Since that time, there have been steady improvements.

Use common sense when using the iPhone camera. Hold it still, and make sure there is light. If you cannot do those two things, then maybe you shouldn't have bought an iPhone in the first place!

This is the first time I felt compelled to write a review for any app over the past year. Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is free and does what it says if you know how to use it properly. Five stars!

After reading previous reviews, Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner sounded like a case of a great idea with poor execution. But I noticed some 3G S users who seemed to have nothing but good things to say, so I gave it a shot . . .

I can only speak for my use on my 3G S, but for me, Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner has been terrific. I've had a high success rate with the UPC's that I've snapped. I'm careful to keep a steady hand, but it seems to give more leeway with that than I expected.

I don't know about older iPhone models, but for 3G S users, Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is amazing, and a must-have.

I have an iPhone 3G, not the 3GS, so I was a little worried about how well Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner would work with out the focus feature that the 3GS has. To my surprise it worked GREAT! and it was still really quick! While it's really great for electronics and appliances and that stuff, what I really like about Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is the library feature. It's so nice so be able to quickly look to see if the book you're looking for is available. Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is definitely staying on my iPhone.

Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner has saved me big bucks - my only complaint - in "results" it would be WAY nice to be able to go through and delete the items you don't want to save, as it will only save a certain # of items and delete the older ones. I use this as a "shopping list" - so I don't forget to get it online if necessary. Also, once you click on an item in the "results" - it's apparently IMPOSSIBLE to get back to the list! What the cupcake?!

I buy large lots to sell on eBay and this helps me quickly locate an item and determine an approximate value. It recognizes most items and has a backup plan if it can't find it in it's database. In that manner it's 5 stars. But, the camera should be able to focus when I touch the focal point just like it does in the iPhone camera's normal operating mode. It's frustrating trying to get it focussed sometimes and I just have to restart Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner . Overall I really like it though!

I tried another app that charge me $1.00 and never work, every item (either scan or key in) was returned with no information found, I skip Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner because I thought the paid once should work better, but I were wrong. this once work on all the same items that I had tried with another app, I were so happly and deleted another app right-away, will recomend to whom that needs this function.

I've been using this for years. It will save you money! The developer has consistently made improvements scanning is quick and reliable. The only down side is that once scanned the search engine technology is not as reliable. For example sometimes it gets the price of a used item rather than a new item. Alway be sure to click the link to see the real price. The value is in getting you to the right product.

I have the new ipod touch with camera. Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner works perfectly as long as I have a wifi connection (and it is very quick and clever...we love it). It'd be perfect if it could store some bar codes when I did not have the connection, then look them up when I was back in wifi range. Would this be possible? (I know, in the past this has not mattered because the iphone always had a connection to the world).

The scanner part of Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is tough to use at home, let alone in a store, with people milling about and no stable place to steady both product barcode and camera. One wastes less time inputting the numbers directly, and with most barcodes showing those numbers, it's easy to do. The rest of Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner does a fast look-up and price comparison. The genius of Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is in its concept, and the interface is simple and effective.

Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner is INSANELY cool. Why are the ratings so low!? I don't get it. Speaking of not "getting it", all the complaints I've seen are from users who apparently, are incoherant ranters who can't seem to grasp basic concepts in language, spelling or technology. Wow, seriously.
Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner does what it says it does, and does it well. Hold the camera back a little, give the barcode sufficient lighting, use a 3GS (for auto focusing), and you're good to go. GET Pic2shopBarcodeQRscanner!! it's a BLAST!! :)
