I don’t understand how this meets App Store guidelines. It’s effectively a paid app but the in app purchase only hits when you attempt your first compression.

There’s literally no way to compress a video without buying a subscription. If they’re advertising it as a “daily limit,” the limit is zero.

Worked for a while, now crashes after compression, un-usable

I’ve never reviewed an app before or given one a bad rating but VideoCompress frustrated me. I needed to compress a short video and when I went to do so it tried forcing me to upgrade to premium despite advertising itself as being free with a daily limit. Basically it’s false advertising. You have to pay to use VideoCompress. Don’t bother with this one.

You need to buy the premium version of VideoCompress to use it. This practice is dishonest and app makers should be warned.

Use it once then delete it. You can’t compress anything unless you pay 9.99 or sign up for 1.99 per week. Do the free trial then cancel right away.

I was trying to compress a video for an assignment I had due in 2 hours. Enough time right? No. VideoCompress didn’t work and kept crashing. Had to use a different app. $2 spent on nothing.

they try to make you buy the premium subscription before even seeing how VideoCompress works out with your first video. don’t waste your time.

Compressed my video yet wouldn’t let me save it or share it anywhere. Of course it’s super difficult to cancel your subscription as well.

This is an awesome app, works really well, fast, allows for bitrate adjustment a video previous. Totally recommended.

Small petition to the developer: could the generate videos have the same date, time and location than the original videos?

VideoCompress saved my life. I have a huge scholarship due in a few hours and my video was 450mb but the attachment limit was 20. I am so glad I found VideoCompress.
