Can’t get it to work - worthless

When I put in my number to “Verify Your Phone Number”, all I get is an error “The API response is in the correct format. The data couldn’t be read because it isn’t in the correct format.” What does that mean? I can’t get past this error. App is worthless. There better be a way to cancel my subscription....
