I booked a trip with Curb through EssentialConnector. Reading many negative comments, I did not know how it would be. But for my personal experience, it was quick and the driver came on time. Definitely I would use EssentialConnector again. The only issue I get may be to find the right location so that I would be eligible for the ride lol. Not all locations would be eligible though they are all near each other. Just that thing is odd to me.

Worst app ever in terms of scope and usefulness. Scheduled a ride for 4am when I finish work. Got 2 drivers that canceled on me and then at 4:30 it says it doesn’t work anymore. What is the point if there are no drivers. That was with curb the other two options say unavailable please try again. Times are inaccurate and even though it’s a free ride since I’m essential it sure is disappointing this is what you have to go through. 2 trains and 2 buses. Like seriously and you can’t 1 person in NYC.

As an essential worker EssentialConnector and service is nothing but problems. Never get pickup when I needed a ride at 2am. I was then force to used other services like Uber or Curb to get to work and it was costly. On other occasions I had to call out sick. Then it was the time I had to walk to work which took two hours to get there. And now I can not get rid of this stupid app. Continues to reinstall automatically when I deleted it on numerous occasions. Thanks for psychological headache.

It wouldn’t let me schedule another ride after I confirmed a ride to be picked up around 4:21 am. The time was then 4:35 and still no cab was arriving or the option to select a different cab or company.

EssentialConnector crashes all the time and does not work the way it’s supposed to, it is unresponsive at times and crashes left and right.

I would not rely on this application to get to work, especially if your essential work is a hospital.

I am able to effectively plan my travel at all times, and am receiving customized alerts relevant to where I live and work. Very well executed!

Does not accurately reflect actual bus trips. Hard to change the starting point, destination, and time concurrently to produce a schedule grid. Not an intuitive interface. It would have been easier if the MTA simply updated the pdf bus schedules to reflect the added express bus runs during 1 – 5 AM.

Developer finally fixed the issue with null values from the destination field and the inaccurate pickup field.

Since I downloaded EssentialConnector it has not been great. The map doesn’t show the drivers location neither your own. It continues trying to load the next screen. I have to keep referring to the website to book my trips.

Several times I’ve tried to use EssentialConnector and it just kept loading. Shows a map ok, but to plan a trip from My current location will have you waiting and wanting to throw your phone.

The eighth avenue line in Manhattan has NOT added any busses; and if you call adding a bus to the Bx40/42 line, that’s not enhanced (especially when drivers have their bus off the radar so passengers don’t see them arriving on any MTA app).

Useless app. Cute, but absolutely useless.

The first week it worked fine and now it’s always giving me problems saying I’m in eligible. The trains need to start running soon cause I won’t be paying $35-$40 every morning to get to the airport.

I already have an account EssentialConnector has no login option just create a new account which my email is already in use when I attempt to create a new account ....

It tells me the essential service is available from 1-4 am. Yet it’ll be 1:30 - 2 in the morning and no cabs show up for use

I can’t order ride and I live in Queens and I have travel to Staten Island for work. You people need fix this.

I’m tired of calling them why can’t ya fix EssentialConnector
