As an intermediate, moving to advanced, knitter, I signed up to be a beta tester. I LOVE Bellish! I’m excited for new base designs, but even with just the beta version which had one design, I was easily able to take a pattern for a crew neck pullover and convert it to a cardigan with lace panels on either side of the button band and up the back (lace pattern from a stitch book I have). They’ve added DK yarn weight with this release, which is my preferred weight for my lifestyle. The digital row counters make staying on track so easy, as do the check mark points and being able to highlight your place in the design. You can even be in a shop, fall in love with a yarn, and in moments come up with a draft design that tells you how much yarn to buy! Woot! I’m a happy camper, wearing a beautiful sweater.

As a Betatester I was so excited to actually use Bellish . I’m not an accomplished knitter more the impulsive kind. Self taught and have always struggled getting to finish product. Most of what I’ve learned about knitting I’ve learned from my mistakes. I knew there would be a learning curve but this site is loaded with so many things you need to start and plan a project. Each time I’m surprised I discovered something more. It’s amazing. Like having your own knitting circle. If you get stuck you just have to look up the information without even getting out of the chair. I’m thrilled to be starting my first sweater for myself. Never have I made anything for me. I have a new self confidence. Try it, it has something for everyone!

Bellish has come a long way since I started using it earlier this year! I love the new patterns they are adding and having it all at my fingertips. It makes things accessible and customizable, and you can really continue to adapt the patterns outside of their options. My one minor complaint would be that the highlighting spot marker never actually holds my spot, it would be nice if this glitch could get sorted out so I don’t have to keep scrolling every time I leave Bellish . Perfect app for an intermediate knitter though.

This is a very cool app. The creators are constantly working to make it better and are very receptive to feedback (I make sure to keep my critiques polite and I am always heard!) I have not made any sweaters because they take long, I am excited to try making my own beanie so I can better test. The yarn picking tool is fabulous, especially when you are making your own patterns. I would even recommend this to beginner knitters to help them understand construction and have patterns they can scale the difficulty as they get more comfortable with the craft!

This is a good app for basic sweater design. What would make this next level is to be able to do true size customization by input body measurements like arm length, bust to shoulder distance, etc. One of the major challenges for knitters is that any pattern likely needs tweaking to fit a specific person’s body, and there’s a lot of math involved in that. It would be fantastic if Bellish could handle some more size specification, or at least provide more detailed measurements on the finished garment so that we could alter more ourselves. If ready to wear clothes don’t readily fit you, Bellish won’t generate sweater patterns that readily fit you.

I got Bellish as a test knitter. I love everything about it. I made a sweater by choosing the yarn weight, my style, and color design. Bellish tells you how much yarn and provides a pattern you designed! While you are knitting the sweater you can use the highlighter to view your row, plus leave a marker for where to start and end your knitting. It was freeing to be able to knit without the paper pattern getting lost or damaged. Bellish keeps track of everything for you. It couldn’t be easier! The sweater turned out beautifully and I wear it often. Awesome sauce!

I LOVE, Bellish, but 2 things to suggest. If I want my shirt to be half colored but knit in a moss stitch( or any other special stitch) I can’t do both, so if that could be added it would be amazing, I also wish to add an option to knit on entirely straight needles or entirely in the round, because as a beginner knitter who does not know how to knit in the round, I will now have to figure out how to convert the pattern to just straight needles. But otherwise amazing concept!

Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't...
I went in weeks ago to start a project and everything was just fine. This morning I couldn't generate my pattern because it said I needed to do things; which I already did. I've never seen this pop up before.
I know this is still under construction and being worked on but it can get infuriating. I just bought $200 of angora yarn to start a project she's now it won't let me generate a pattern.
The idea of Bellish is absolutely amazing but I'm hoping they work out the kinks because it really is a great app!

Ok, free patterns, but customizable to your desired size, yarn weight, color, sleeve length, body length! This is amazing! The patterns are super clear and well written. Bellish is sleek & well designed. Bellish was perfect for me because I can find what I have in my stash, select the parameters for the sweater I want, and poof- I have an EXACT pattern for what I want. Stitch count check-ins and clear distinctions between each row make it so easy to follow. If you’re a seamless sweater knitter- Bellish is for you!

With all the updates it’s getting better and better, I’m really enjoying the new add-ons. So excited about the beanies and the different designs to add to sweaters. It’s spring time and almost summer soon and I’ve come across a couple of tank top patterns and my first thought was I wish this tank top pattern was on the this app app. Keep up the good work I have it on all my devices, two phones and iPad.

I really was excited to finally be able to use Bellish after waiting a few yrs for its release. I was pretty surprised, and disappointed to see that Bellish is really very limited in terms of design and texture options. There is only one design option. Raglan. And only a handful of textures. That’s it! You would think that it being a few years hyping up Bellish, the creator would have many more options by now. It’s strange because in Bellish Store it shows slightly more options then I actually see on Bellish .

Bellish is invaluable for any knitter. Whether new or completely experienced.

I’m somewhere in between and I use Bellish for every sweater I’ve made since it came into my life. For me it’s a great starting point for my creativity. I love a top down sweater... who doesn’t, right? With the math done for me with any yarn weight, all I have to do is add either options from within Bellish , or my own personal elements.

Having the math done for me allows me to simply have fun. It’s a win!

I am looking forward to all of the new elements that they are constantly adding too. I will never get bored with Bellish and cannot see having to buy another pattern ever again. Saving my 💰 for yarn. 🥳

I signed up as a beta tester, and have seen a lot of changes. I was excited about the concept of Bellish, and love the additions and improvements. It’s so easy to use, and so very easy to create your next project. I have made several sweaters, each different. It’s so nice to have one place to go for a pattern without filling up your bookshelves. Thank you, this app!! ❤️❤️❤️

I’m mid-sweater and the pattern won’t open. Just bombs out each time I try to open it.
Fast response time when you leave a comment. I wasn’t able to email, the link wasn’t working.
Their app is excellent though. I do hope to see it thrive.

Update: I left the review below and in less than 12 hours had a response from the developers with a fix. Great customer service.

Good app. Nice to find something that does the calculations for you. I only wish there were more design elements; type of sleeve, cardigan vs. pullover, etc. But for what it does, it’s pretty slick.

Original review: Every time I get to the sizing it crashes and boots me out of Bellish . Makes it pretty much useless.
