After downloading the app I wouldnโt believe everything it says. You should try to do some of your own research too, just to be sure. I personally donโt trust PETA after seeing they took lobsters from a restaurant and dumped them in freshwater. Lobsters are saltwater creatures, so they killed the lobsters. I donโt think PETA really knows what theyโre doing. A majority of the resources used in this app are based off PETA so I personally donโt trust the resources used.

I used this app to check if my shampoo shows are cruelty free and it says that they test on animals but it shows on PETA and Google that they do not test on animals and are approved by Peta

Only recently did I learn how cruelly animals are tortured and abused in laboratories, and it truly breaks my heart to see them hurt and malnourished, without a glimpse of grass, sunlight, and even human contact. With Cares, I can easily spot whether a brand is cruelty free or vegan, and it surprised me to find out that many of the brands that I used to use tested on animals. Not anymore! Itโs so helpful with bookmarks, and it alerts you if a company is part of a bigger brand that tests on animals, and theyโre open to feedback and adding new brands to the list. The only thing that confuses me are the gray-area companies, which arenโt proven to test on animals or be cruelty free. Still, thank you SO MUCH for such an amazing and helpful app! Iโm so happy to say that Iโve gone cruelty-free!
