By far the best iOS GH client out there, unfortunately it falls short in several aspects.
Most notably is the lack for projects. Personally I use projects in several of my repos to organize issues and track releases, but I cannot with GitHawk.
Another issue is discovery. It is difficult to find projects you own or contribute to as there is no profile of any sort. You have to search by project name, which also indexes all of GH. Mine was the last project in a number of projects when searching its name. Luckily for me there were only a few results, but I can imagine it being more difficult to find something a bit more common.
It also seems it struggles loading/ displaying images in README’s.
Aside from that, it’s a great app. It was easy to get started and navigation is clearly labeled and intuitive. Design is a fantastic mix between native iOS and GH elements, making it feel familiar and professional.
One concern of mine is the update frequency. The last update was 2+ months ago, and I prefer apps to be maintained and developed a little more frequently than that. But for a free app, I’m not complaining.

this app is a really helpful app! It doesn’t yet support everything you can do on the website (although it does support things you can’t normally do on mobile), but you can always hit the share button then tap “Open in Safari” (or your favorite browser) to open the website.

This is my primary way of interacting with GitHub now across many organizations and repositories. Ryan and co. have done a phenomenal job at providing new updates, features, bug fixes, and support. Please continue to keep up the great work — this app is one of my most used apps!

this app is very useful and well executed - I recommend it - but it lacks one feature that I would value greatly: the ability to get a lock screen or home screen notification when a new notification is present on GitHub. The icon badge is insufficient for my needs.

I downloaded GitHawk to keep tabs on the issues, but the search functionality doesn’t work beyond basic “is:open” type searches. I was trying to view in progress issues, and I even added a new label to search but both of my searches, “label:inProgress” and “milestone:Day1”, only worked on web UI and not GitHawk. Disappointing, hopefully there’s an update to fix the search 🤞🏼

Simple, clean, and easy to use. Gives me peace of mind that I'm up to date with my GitHub notifications across several repos. Being able to search repos is a huge plus. A++

I use this app every day to stay on top of my GitHub projects and manage them on-the-go. It’s super simple to download and get started and they have great support if you have any questions!!

I love GitHub and it’s disappointing that there isn’t a native app. This feels just how a native github app would be and should be. The only thing it needs is a dark mode lol. Otherwise 5/5. Will change rating when there is a Dark Mode.

This is just amazing. I consider it an absolute must have if you are involved in any large project on github. You can still interact easily with having to use laptop.

If you use GitHub for anything, download GitHawk ASAP. It will save you tons of time. Super fast, simple design, and helps me check off my GitHub TODO list. Highly recommend 👍

GitHawk looks alright, and github is a great platform to cooperatively work on coding projects, but not being able to see my own account no matter how hard I try seems to be a big oversight by the developer. The user experience is paramount to a product. Im sorry but this is a 0 star product because of this error.

or is it limited to projects you’re apart of? I got an email notification from a watched project, but GitHawk still shows nothing days later.

I wish more projects like this app were open sourced!

GitHawk is like O(1) algorithm for the hardest problem! Luv it! Please reinforce security aspect and UI!

The only thing it’s missing is custom font sizing. That would make it a five star app 😋

With the help of GitHawk, I am able to respond to issues and PRs that I bookmark. Very good application.
