My CookBook (Recipe Manager) Reviews

I liked MyCookBookRecipeManager very well until it said it was full and I would have to pay to continue. I deleted recipes so I would have more space and it still said I was full, thus giving me fewer and fewer recipe slots.

While I love the layout of MyCookBookRecipeManager and it’s features, I DON’T like that it randomly keeps dropping my photos from the recipes. I put them back in and the next time I open MyCookBookRecipeManager , a bunch of others are missing. Additionally, I only have 60 recipes and I’m getting a message every time I open MyCookBookRecipeManager that I have reached the maximum allowable number. App advertises you get 103 free recipes. MyCookBookRecipeManager is only installed on one device, my iPad. If you install on two devices, it counts your recipes twice. Based on the above, I can’t recommend this to others.

I really like MyCookBookRecipeManager. You can easily import online recipes on you computer and then use your phone in the kitchen plus it gets right to the point and cuts out all the fluff in a lot of cooking blogs, like how their husband best friends grandma was brought back to life from their chili recipe. The meal planner isn’t as user friendly but I love the grocery list.

MyCookBookRecipeManager itself is great! I never had any problems with it until my tablet died. I’ve installed it on my iPad but I can’t log in. We paid to have ads removed but I can’t remember the login info. I tried to reset the password, but it keeps telling me that there’s no account associated with my email address. I refuse to pay for it again.

MyCookBookRecipeManager is the best cooking app periodt. It has a very good layout so it's perfect for recipes! Let alone it's free and the amount of times you can write new recipes is more then enough! I love it.

There’s a lot of glitchy technical problems with MyCookBookRecipeManager. I tried it for a good eight months before giving up. When you try and upload or import a Recipes from a website directly it just doesn’t work and I keep having to kill MyCookBookRecipeManager and re-opening it.

Using MyCookBookRecipeManager was a struggle. It’s not functional and gave more problems than any app I’ve used. I had to use it for a school course and was unhappy with it from the start. It desperately needs to be updated to be more user friendly, otherwise it should be taken down.

MyCookBookRecipeManager will auto add you to the subscription service, it is difficult to understand how to keep your iTunes account from being charged. I removed MyCookBookRecipeManager , and now I have to monitor my iTunes purchase history and dispute any charges that they might try to automatically charge.

Can’t even download new recipes into MyCookBookRecipeManager any longer. Are they supporting MyCookBookRecipeManager ?
I’m pretty upset that I’ve invested a lot of recipes into this thing and now it appears to be broken.

I used to love MyCookBookRecipeManager but it’s subscription based. I’m not willing to pay $1.99/month just to keep my all my recipes. Moving to recipekeeper.

Drops photos, deletes entire recipes.... I’ve spent many hours working on this for nothing.... don’t pay for this until they fix the bugs, please!

It's a great idea and is pretty easy to add recipes. However, the recipes aren't available to create meal plans. They should be, but for some reason the synchronization doesn't work. It's also hard to back out of what you're doing if there's an error (which there are a lot). Instead you have to close the entire app and start over hoping it'll work the next time. Overall, it would be the best app if it worked correctly, but as of now it's not worth all of the time and effort adding recipes.

It keeps lagging and makes me sign into my Apple ID account EVERY TIME I open MyCookBookRecipeManager . I like the layout but there are so many bugs that it’s so frustrating

I had MyCookBookRecipeManager for years and loved it! Now I can’t import recipes anymore! Very disappointed 😞

Total waste of time, cannot create account. Too bad as it looked like this had promise.

I couldn’t use it. I wanted to like it but MyCookBookRecipeManager is not good quality.

I imported 10 recipes from here and I never seen them

This company takes content from sites that have been copyrighted and selling it for profit. ILLEGAL!

I love love love MyCookBookRecipeManager, but the meal planner in the ios app is atrocious lately. There's a bug or code break somewhere because the page is all messed up and almost impossible to use now. Recipes won't move easily from one day to another, and when you try to hold down a recipe, it wants to copy from a different part of the page.

If this doesn't get fixed soon I may have to try another app, which is sad because I've used My Cookbook for years and have over a thousand recipes saved/created.

I like the aim of MyCookBookRecipeManager but it's functionality could have been better. Uploading recipes from my iPhone's safari browser never worked; copy, pasting, and importing urls only worked once on the 7 recipes that I tried; customer support is almost nonexistent; and there's no way to manage your account. I'd delete my account but that's not possible.
