Key Features don’t work

Inspira is great in theory. When I first downloaded I was impressed and excited to use it. However, now that I have been using it my complaints are: Inspira is showing conflicting information about my account status. On the Home Screen under “To do” it has many purchases listed as “need to be verified”. But when you open the Individual purchase transaction, it says “no action needed, card purchase has been verified”. Ok so which is it?! Also, I have toggled and retoggled the “Remember me” switch on the sign-in screen so many times, but it NEVER remembers me. I have to enter my login info every time. This is so annoying. Especially when you switch screens just to check something and then switch back and have to login all over again. Also, under “Help” I sent an email about an issue I was having, and I have never received a response or reply or indication that it was received, nothing. I might as well have spent my time picking daisies because it obviously was a futile exercise and my email has been sent into a void. If that feature doesn’t work, why include it? Also this is just a recommendation not really a complaint, but under the “Manage” button, it would be nice if you could view your submitted claims, not just file a new claim. Overall, Inspira has left me frustrated and wasted my time. The idea is good, but they need to fix these issues to make it functional.

Have been robbed

Payflex is a terrible company and nightmare to work with. Their customer service is never able to provide any accurate information. I have been kept in the dark for months just so that they can make me ineligible for reimbursement for dependent care. I called the Payflex support and asked help with supporting documents needed for claiming dependent care expenses. I was persuaded not to submit the claim at that moment and instead file at a later date as apparently the last date for dependent care claims has been changed to end of May due to the ongoing Pandemic situation. And when I resubmitted at a later date, my claim was rejected and I am now told that the last date was never changed to May. I have now 2 claims from the month of March and May but Payflex is not willing to accept either. I have heard of daylight robberies but I have personally experienced how these companies can give you incorrect information to loot your money. It has been very stressfull to work with Payflex and they do not have the courtesy to have their supervisors call me or connect me to them even after I requested many times. Is their any federal agency reviewing these fraud companies and their practices?

Walk Away from this HSA provider if you can

This is one of the worst HSA provider I have came across. I have relationship with Payflex only because my employer assigns payflex as the HSA admin. The minute I am no longer cover with my employer, this company immediately charges me 5 dollar a month for keep my HSA account with them. This is insane! This company is trying to rip off every penny from its customers while nowadays a lot of HSA providers are lowering or even waiving the monthly fee for their customers. On top of that, they charge an additional investment management fee on percentage basis since I invested a portion of my HSA balance, even when I was covered my my employer! Look what I got: a payflex app that crashes all the time! Oh btw, if you want to switch to another admin, make sure you don’t do trustee to trustee transfer, you just cash out everything from this horrible company to your own bank account and then save to your new HSA admin, that way they will no longer charge you 25$ for transferring or closing your payflex account. It is not about the money, I just don’t think this horrible company worth the money. I would rather donate the $25 to any charities.

App is cumbersome, the website is faster and easier. Abandon your app

I am disappointed with my app experience. The first time I downloaded I could not be authenticated. Inspira showed my mobile number and email but it would not send a text or email. After getting that resolved I noticed each time I login I have to answer my security questions. Why is Inspira unable to remember my device. Now I tried turning in Touch ID but that for some reason has been unavailable for the last few days. Does anything security related in your app work? If you are unable to provide basic services I request that you abandon app development. It is far fasterand easier to just open a web browser. Unless you can make Inspira quick, easy and intuitive then you should stop devoting time and resources to app development. The only other way forward is outsource to a professional that can deliver a good user experience. Mine has been less than memorable.

DOES NOT WORK

Inspira looks beautiful, the interface is intuitive, everything is where it should be.. It’s just non functional. It’s like App Art - beautiful to look at but you can’t touch it. While I do appreciate the abstract beauty of a well carved rock on the side of a mountain, what I need is a working staircase to get me out of the valley. When attempting to upload a photo from my phone, it says wrong file type. LOL! Which file type do y’all expect from an iPhone? There is only one, and half the mobile phones in America use that same file type (if not all). What’s funny is it accepts a photo taken from within Inspira as the correct file type (YAY!!! I found a loophole!!), yet Inspira then fails to upload... so close. Wait!! But did you restart your device? Yes! Clear your cache? Yes!! Delete and reinstall? Yes!!! Swing a dead cat over your head in a cemetery at midnight while hopping on one foot and reciting the alphabet backwards? Ok Huck, I did not try that.. Please fix Inspira, I’m stuck with it for a year.

Dissatisfied Customer

We have had Payflex through my husband’s employer for many years. Over the past 6 months customer service has gone way down hill. Getting through to them on the phone is nearly impossible. It habitually says “we are experiencing higher than normal call volume” and then places me on hold. After about a minute on hold the call disconnects!! So there is no way to get through to them. The one time in 3 weeks that I make it through, they tell me I am not authorized on the account and can’t help me. I’ve been the one calling about this account for over 10 years and now all of a sudden I’m not authorized. Can’t even find the form they need filled out on their website. I could go on and on about the terrible customer service but the short version is stay away from Payflex if you can! It’s the only choice we have through my husband’s employer otherwise we would be out of here. Would have given them 0 stars if it had been available!

This company should be ashamed

Used this for years for a flex spend account without issue. Now, every single purchase has to be “verified,” with multiple steps. They don’t look at claims before denying them, with responses like “clarify shipping charges,” on parking deck receipts. To make matters worse, customer service continuously hangs up on people and gives inaccurate information. Each time I login, I’m being asked for things like letters of medical necessity that shouldn’t be required for covered items like sunscreen. Receipts are often rejected with responses asking for things impossible to obtain. Now, we’ve paid $2000 into an account that is telling us we have to pay them $300 to unlock it, because they didn’t like a pharmacy’s receipt format. There are still over $1000 in unused funds paid to them I still can’t access. This shouldn’t be legal and could put lives at risk. This company should be ashamed of themselves profiting off of freezing medical access to those who need it.

Limited Functionaly—Only Good For Basic Info

Unfortunately, Inspira does not allow one to do the real work that needs to properly administer an HSA account and so users must still rely on the website.
I had expected the much touted updates to allow us to upload documentation, or at the very least categorize expenses. But app’s main features continue to be providing basic information and the initiation of deposits and withdrawals. This may be good for infrequent users or those who don’t need to provide backup, but for the detail-oriented user it is insufficient.
Ideally, future updates will allow users to upload PDFs direct from their phones (where many originate) or, even better, use the technology of many expense account apps and let users snap pictures to back up their claims. But, until then we’re stuck with the (often wonky) website. Hopefully, it’s a work in progress and that will happen soon.

Abysmal Service

If I could, I would give this company no stars or better yet, a minus five stars. They have my hard-earned money that I set aside for medical expenses, and yet they refuse to approve legitimate medical charges. These are charges for which I have repeatedly uploaded detailed documentation so that they can be validated. Even worse, after uploading the documentation, I have received the message: “No action needed. This card purchase has been verified.” (I have screenshots of this message to prove it for three different transactions.”) Then days, and in one case weeks later, I see that “Documentation is required to verify....” all over again, even though the detailed documentation that was uploaded is able to be opened up and viewed. The frustration and exasperation of trying to work through this company’s incompetence is not worth any savings a flexible spending account may provide.

Hot mess

Inspira was more or less useful until recently, now the login process fails for various reasons, either times out or gears “system cannot process this request please try again later“. Face ID works maybe once or twice, then fails, requiring complete setup again, including two factor authentication which cannot be copy-pasted because of the poor design, digits must be keyed individually. I’ve set up Face ID a dozen times in the last couple of months.

Mobile website is better, most functions can be performed on the iPhone. But like the iOS app, finding Claims is like spelunking, can take a half a dozen clicks to reach the destination, when a more intuitive design would be far easier.

Inspira needs a complete user interface overhaul, and rigorous QA testing which apparently never occurred.

Works great for what I need but still lacks FaceID login

When I need to check my balance to see some recent transactions, Inspira is the first place I go and it gives me just what I need. The only frustration is for months now I’ve tried to enable faceID and it never takes, so I have to enter my login info each time which doesn’t always make it a quick check of my information, especially when I can’t remember this login info from all of the other logins I have. Fix the faceID and this is a 5 star app.

PayFlex ‘app support’ brings me to a massive list of unrelated sales questions

Arrrgghh!!! You forgot to update your app to be compatible with iOS 15. It crashes when trying to upload a photo when I have to substantiate a charge. I checked privacy settings and your app has full access to my photos. Forget about writing tech support via your link when your form insists I fill out a bunch of business-related questions as though I’m a new business customer inquiring about onboarding PayFlex — so my only other option is to write a crappy review to state my issue. How long did you have advance notice that iOS was coming out?! This feature worked fine in iOS 14

Another issue, every time I sign-up to use Face-ID, it forgets it all the next time I try to log in. Why bother?!

Busy mom

Payflex app is so easy to use. You can seriously do everything on Inspira that you can can online but easier. You can submit receipts and invoices that have been requested by the company You can check your balence. You can pay back any money owed to your account and you can request money owed to you from the account. It has a scanner tool to see if an over the counter item is eligible for flex spending at Walmart or any pharmacy. Inspira will soon be your best friend. Go ahead and download it. You will be so happy you did!

By

User friendliness of the app : terrible . It took 2 days to access my account .

You should work more on Inspira cause is not at all user friendly. I spent 2 days on the phone with the PayFlex rep given contradictory information when finally I had a nice rep from Aetna to help me second day and she went the extra step to contact PayFlex so they will reestablish my online access and make the payments toward medical claims . But when I went back to review a payment just I have made I couldn’t get to that one at all . I don’t know where was “hiding “ ? So is not easy at all to navigate and use Inspira and is a pain .. and a waste of time !

App review

Very frustrating I don’t know how many times I’ve submitted claims uploaded receipts typed in all of my comments only to receive a message that the info that I just put in couldn’t be processed. The only option is to delete what you just put in and do it all over again. Also PayFlex denies or comes up with all kinds of excuses for denying the claim you submit. Due to all the frustration trying to get reimbursed from PayFlex I decided not to participate in the program. I may get taxed less because the deduction makes you look like you earned less but the amount of time you spend trying to justify your claims, you don’t gain anything but aggregation and frustration. Time is money and you waste a lot of time with payfles

PayFlex is extremely difficult to use

At the end of 2019, I used the available money in my PayFlex account to take care of a dental bill and a chiropractic charge.
Both charges were applied to my PayFlex account at each provider, so was at the “point of sale”. PayFlex has still not released the funds because now I have to submit additional documentation for the charges. This is absolutely ridiculous and time consuming. I have never had this much difficulty with any of my other Flexible Spending Accounts. Ever. Also, they have denied payment for my 2020 dental bill, which was also submitted by my provider at the time of service. The website is frequently down, or, otherwise unavailable. Really irritated and would never recommend this company.

The Worst HSA app I’ve ever used

I’ve changed jobs, been parts of organizations that have merged or been bought out, so I’m no stranger to having to change HSA’s and their associated apps every few years.

Inspira is, without question, the worst one I have ever used. Crashes constantly, when it lets you in at all. I’ve tried to get in almost everyday this week, and only today did it let me log on instead of display some ‘this application cannot be used right now’ generic error that tells you nothing.

Touch ID is also completely useless, forcing me to use my pin or password every time. So I figure that if it isn’t going to work, then I might as well turn the feature off, right? Well you cant. Trying to select the toggle that deactivates the Touch ID option just locks you into an endless loop of asking for your fingerprint, without ever turning the feature off.

Save yourself the space on your device and just use the website instead. It’s shockingly bare bones information wise, but at least it works. Better yet, don’t use it at all (unless forced to do so by your employment benefits, obviously).

Health support made simple

The future I love most about PayFlex is the ability to scan items. Due to the Covid virus, new over-the-counter medications and other items have become available for purchase. This makes it incredibly easy to go into a store and buy supporting medications in the event of illness. Inspira provides you with an overview of your spending and what amount is left. This is incredibly convenient. No paperwork needed for this purpose. I am still saving my receipts just in case.

THE WORST APP EVER!!!!!!!

Inspira is complete garbage. I have used multiple HSA apps in the past and this is the worst one. Honestly it’s one of the worst apps I’ve ever used in general.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to set up Face ID for this thing. I swear Face ID on Inspira expires every 3 log ins. Which is super inconvenient because even if you’re out of Inspira for one minute it locks you out and you have to re-log in again!

It doesn’t tell you where your purchase was made. It only says the date and amount. How am I supposed to remember where my purchase was made or even know what some of them were?? I don’t upload my receipts until days or weeks after I swipe my HSA card. I have never seen an app NOT tell you where you made a purchase??!?!?

This is the least user friendly app I have ever used. I’m only 28, people. I am not a boomer. If someone in their 20s is having issues with Inspira then you’ve got a problem.

I wish I didn’t have to use this piece of trash app, but this is the HSA account my employer chose so I have to use it….

PAYFLEX, PLEASE FIX THIS DUMPSTER FIRE!!!

This could be such a great app

Unfortunately it is incredibly slow even after deleting/reinstalling and rebooting my phone; it took about five minutes to submit one receipt for payment, and then it gave me an error that it was unable to process it. After logging in again I get a service error after about a minute of spinning in the middle of a business day. There are two items in the to do list that, upon clicking, say there is nothing to do. I entered my credentials and clicked remember me previously but when I go back my credentials are not there, but remember me is checked. Just very sloppy

Turns out the website is the same. Maybe that’s the idea, customers get frustrated and stop trying to get their money

Touch ID doesn’t work at all. When I try to set it up it says that it’s not active and won’t use it.

The main page never comes up now. I was able to submit a PDF document using Inspira yesterday to substantiate a claim but today I got an email that I need to substantiate the claim, so even when it’s working, it doesn’t work.

Piece of trash app

If I could give Inspira zero stars I would. It’s not the worst app in the world IF I WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO LOG IN. The first time I downloaded Inspira I logged on, enabled Face ID and it seemed fine. I logged on a couple more times regularly, but then it started to say Face ID isn’t available and to use my pin. The pin I set up didn’t work and neither did my password. I deleted Inspira and tried again, and I was able to log in. But after a couple log ins the same thing happened. Now it’s just a vicious cycle - lather rinse repeat. Oh and btw every time I logged on it said it didn’t recognize this device and I had to verify my identity - EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I still have to when I log on on my laptop. Inspira and the website are absolute GARBAGE - they need to do a complete overhaul.

By

Still pretty terrible

It worked, but only after almost giving up trying to figure out how to pay a provider, which is the only reason I was logged on. If they only made it obvious that “request funds” was how you “pay bill” to someone else. Really poor FAQ too. 1/4/19 update ... when sending funds to a provider, no option to change who the payment was for (ie, one of my covered family members). Seems that would be a basic option to have, no?

App has grown in leaps and bound!

My experience with Inspira is completely revamped with this new redesigned app. This version took care of the many issues that I had been having with the old version. Looks like, company has started to look into issues reported and feedback shared by the users. I am really happy with the improvements and like to congratulate for doing a splendid job!

Employee not Knowledgeable

It can take me several attempts to submit a claim. Today i couldnt get on your website. I was dropped saying your browser was busy. So i called, spoke to John who was very confused about my request to be reimbused for a premium. After he kept me holding twice he still didnt understand so i had to let him go and i tried to log in again. I was successful logging in but when i tried to load a receipt it took 3 attempts. I have suggested to our decision makers that we not contract with your company again. It has been gruelling to work with your company. Too many errors.

By

Takes 5 minutes to reopen the app EVERY TIME

This is unreasonable. Even with remember me selected, I still have to enter my passwords and answer the 3 security questions. Then good luck even using Inspira if you can get in, because the keyboard won’t go away. And if you need to leave Inspira for a moment, you need to go through that whole process again. Also, if you need to add an attachment to a claim (say, a screenshot of a receipt) it won’t accept it. Then they will reject the claim for not having an attachment. Inspira needs some SERIOUS work to be even remotely useful. Wish I could rank lower than one star.

By

Company has bad business practices.

Nice app however it always directs you to use the web site when you need to do upload file management . The web site is just as poorly designed to make it difficult for the end user to resolve issues. Upload features are also Buried deep in several menus and when you actually find and successfully upload the customer service requires 5 business days to even read the documentation .

This company is a scam and doesn’t care about you family or financial medical needs for what the fsa card is used for .

Bug

Inspira is fine most of the time. But every time you try to rearrange it into a folder on your phone it stops working. It only allows you to login if you keep the tile on the home screen and dont move it into a folder. If you move it into a folder you’ll never be able to login again unless you uninstall and reinstall and keep Inspira on home screen. Error says service is interrupted please try again later

By

PayFlex is a scam

PayFlex is the worst company to handle our FSA benefits and their app is even worse still. It doesn’t update your status even after I’ve jumped through multiple hoops to fix my problems that they (PayFlex) created. I believe they do this to exhaust a person’s patience and give up, leaving them any unspent funds you may have on your FSA account. If you don’t use it you lose with your FSA money and I believe they work this angle to scam people out of their hard earned money. They should be investigated by the consumer protection agency and brought to justice.

Software validation failed!

I fail to see that there was a legitimate validation plan executed for this software. The only thing it is good for is seeing my balance. Inspira shows ToDos that have been resolved 5 months ago, yet more recent items that needed my attention were never shown. You really need to put this in the hands of testers that utilize PayFlex, get feedback on there user experience and fix the issues. The problems I see should be very easy to reproduce and troubleshoot!

New App ✅

The newest 4.0.1 update made Inspira an entirely different experience than before. It’s lightweight and intuitive which vastly improved the quality. If you’re savvy with your HSA Account with Investing a portion of your contributions, Inspira explicitly separates your balances and allocations. Great landing page, Ease of use, and Ideal level of detail = 5 Stars!

Improvement needed

We are new to PayFlex. Our old flex Beni fit account app allowed us to upload claims, photos of receipts, etc on the mobile app itself without going to website. Also when we clicked the “ go to website “ bar it took us directly to website without asking us to logging in again every time. Hope PayFlex will also improve on this mobile app!

By

Needs to handle bigger photos

Inspira and overall system works very well indeed, but my new Xr iPhone takes big photos and so can only submit one claim at a time. There should be a way to compress before sending or just triple the upload limit.
