Abridge for Patients Reviews

I recently used this app during a long consultation with a specialist, and I was so glad that it was listening and taking notes for me, because I would have been completely overwhelmed otherwise! I was super impressed with the quality of the transcription, especially since both the doctor and I were wearing masks, and it had no problems with non-American accents as well. It picked up all of the key medical items, even the ones the doctor mentioned that I didn't even know.

After my appointment, it was so easy to review the information using the key moments! This provided a much more digestible summary for me than the visit summary printout that I got from the doctor. I'm super grateful that this tool exists! Not to mention the beautiful design and great UX!

(And as an aside, I encountered a minor bug when using Abridge at home, and I was able to easily report it using their support. They were extremely responsive and friendly!)

I love Abridge and have found it SUPER helpful for my medical appointments. As someone with a chronic illness that involves several systems in the body, I have a bunch of appointments and sometimes they can be overwhelming with a lot of new information thrown at me. It is easy to miss some details that may be important. That is where this app comes in because you record the appointment and can go back to listen to either the whole appointment or go back to a certain part of the conversation. Abridge transcribes the recording and even picks out “meaningful moments” to make it easier to go back and find certain things mentioned like medications. I highly recommend Abridge especially for anyone who is chronically ill or for your elderly parents etc. The recordings can be shared with family members to keep them in the loop so everyone is on the same page in caring for you and/or your loved one.

Abridge has seriously been a lifesaver. Our baby was recently diagnosed with a congenital heart defect in utero. We have met with 8 doctors in the span of 2 weeks to discuss some serious things. It has been so incredibly helpful to have this running the entire time. I know that when I get home, I can listen to every word so I can begin to grasp and plan for what our future holds. Looking at the transcriptions and highlighted terms makes it easy to scan though and find the parts of the conversations mentioning the information I’m wanting to reference again. With this running in the background, I know I won’t miss anything so I can be present in the appointment with the Dr.s as we plan my son’s treatment. And I know that as I’m just trying to absorb some shocking and unexpected information, I won’t miss a thing because this app is getting it all for me.

- In general app is Super Easy to to use.
It’s basicly a plug & play.
- I did quick practice recordering to figure out Abridge and where my iPhone speaker was so I could position in my breast pocket for best recording quality.
- l was in doc office waiting to see doc and realized I wanted to record my doc appt and I couldn’t quickly figure out how to use my iPhone recording feature on it.
So I went to my iPhone App Store found Doctor specific recording app.
Downloaded app and within less than 5 minutes I was in doc office recording our 55 minute doc visit.
- My Recordings are extremely clear to hear and go back and listen to.
- You’ll never any important facts or info during your doc appt.
- Very helpful to use.
- Took pressure off me so I could listen to what Doc was saying instead of panickly trying to take notes!
- Listen to my 1st recording twice before going to see my 2nd Doc appt and felt really on target with having all needed info!
- Just did my 2nd doc recording to different doc and recorded our 1 hr 10 min doc appt. And this appt was more valuable because I was able to ask better and more insightful questions because prior doc visit was recorder.
I highly recommend this appt to anyone…. but more importantly to personhaving on-
going doc visits on same health problems.

I love Abridge! It helped me during the pandemic when I had doctor appointments with wound care changes for a wound I can’t see or take care of myself. My mom could not accompany me to doctor visits because of restrictions. Abridge helped me to “capture” the appointment so I didn’t miss telling her anything the doctor said. While I did hear about it from a family vlog, I ask this app to reconsider any partnership they may have with FA (you know who I mean) due to them exploiting their special needs daughter on social media for views and money. She is a non-verbal teenager that can not give her consent to be put on social media as her parents use her in the video to show how their care for her personal hygiene needs. Your app is amazing and I recently met with a very nice rep via Zoom, but please reconsider this partnership.

We have a team of family members who are caring for mother. The primary benefit of this app is the timely communication of information and findings during multiple medical appointments. During the recorded appointments the attending Caregiver can focus on interaction of patient and medical professional and help patient answer questions and provide details to make sure a complete picture of health is given to doctor. After arriving home, I listen to recording and read the script to update health history record and plan for future treatments and scheduling management. This is a lifesaver and reduces the stress of trying to remember what is said, recommendations and spelling new medical terminology. Thank you this app!

I started using this app to help manage my multiple chronic health conditions. I recently had a complicated hip reconstruction and this app helped me keep track of several surgical consults. With multiple specialists prescribing medications, some with changing doses, this application has helped me tremendously to keep them straight. Having the the ability to let other doctors review/listen to my appointments cuts down on confusion when seeing multiple doctors. I’m thankful for this app because it allows me to be more informed and lets me take a more active role in my healthcare.

There is nothing more important than remembering the details of your appointment or instructions with the doctor, pharmacist nutritionist, or diabetic counselor. It is equally important to be present at your appointment and listen to what is being explained or discussed. this app makes this easy for you. Abridge is for all age groups who need to record the conversation with the healthcare provider/pharmacist so that sharing the information with a caregiver or specialist is seamless and accurate. The recording is easily accessed for review to make sure you heard the instructions correctly. I recommend Abridge for everyone including healthcare professionals.

I can’t say enough how much Abridge has been a game changer for me in my journey after breast cancer! For someone who had to undergo surgery, chemo and radiation that means tons of doctor appoints every month/year and who can really keep track of EVERYTHING that is said in each appointment?! NOT ME! this app has really given me some of my independence and confidence back after my diagnosis. I love the share feature and so does my Mom when she can’t attend appointments with me. The fact that I can replay it later and even look up stuff I may not understand helps me feel more in control. Thank you this app for making a difference!

I wish I had Abridge 15 years ago. My daughter has a rare genetic disorder which requires many medical appointments. It’s a challenge to remember every single detail that’s discussed at these appointments and exhausting to then relay that info to other people. this app simplifies all of this for me. This amazing app not only records her appointments, it also highlights key moments in the discussion so I can replay them, and allows me to easily share with others. With this app recording in the background, I can focus on the conversation at hand without worrying if I’ll forget anything. I won’t go to another appointment without this app.

Abridge is the best thing I’ve ever found that helps me record and remember everything discussed in doctor appointments. I have a lot of family who always want details, and it’s challenging to remember every little piece of information. Now, I simply record the conversations using this app and then simply share with my loved ones.
Abridge removes any added stress or worry and instead allows patients and their caregivers to focus on what’s important- their time spent with the medical staff.

Abridge has been great for keeping all our information from doctors in one place and organized. You can record all medical appointments and then easily read and listen to the conversation. You can find parts of the appointment to listen to by searching for a word, like radiation and it takes you to where the doctor was talking about that.
Has a calendar for appointments too. And a place to list your medicines so when the doctor asks for that it is easy to access.

I was recently diagnosed with follicular lymphoma and we used Abridge the record several visits with the doctors. The recording quality was excellent and it was great to be able to share the recordings with my immediate family, so ensure everyone was on the same page. I highly recommend Abridge, especially in the more complicated discussions you may have with your doctors, as it is a great reference as you continue your journey through sometimes complicated and complex medical matters.

Wow! How did I ever remember every single detail
From a doctor appointment, consultation, or results from procedures?? Oh that’s right, I didn’t! Abridge has been an absolute life saver when it comes to reviewing information from doctors. I never realized how much I miss or don’t fully understand. Abridge records session with your doctor, transcribes, and even highlights important sections for you to review. Abridge was a tremendous help during a recent hospital stay with our son. Abridge has really been a life saver and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I started using this once covid hit and it was hard to have another person/ family member in the room . I am able to send/share recordings and doctor results without forgetting what the doctor had mentioned. Highly recommend for anyone that takes their elderly family member to the doctor to help explain to the rest of the family what is needed. It helps me be more confident at the doctors office

I find Abridge very helpful as I attend my appointments alone and by the time I get home have forgotten most instructions if I don’t write them down. This takes the notes for me and more. Explains some of the medications and why I’m taking them. I recommend Abridge to friends, especially men, who it seems always come back from the doctors with nothing to report. Now if they’ll just remember to use it!

My dad faced a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. I don't live in the same state but he was able to recordwith this app so we could keep up with the treatment options and next steps. I love the bolded words. It's so helpful to be able to quickly find the parts we want to listen to and replay what the doctor said. Having had a few doctor appointments lately where I’m hearing words I don’t know and I know I won’t remember during the exam, it is SO helpful to be able to record and review later - even just to have the piece of mind that everything the doctor discussed is no big deal according to the internet! Plan to also have my parents use in their appointments to keep up to date on their health.

I used your app today for the first time because my mom just had surgery and all the people that come in and talk to us we can’t remember everything!! Abridge is really useful when visiting the doctor. Doctors often share a lot of information in a short amount of time, and it’s hard to follow along. this app transcribes what the doctor says really well. And I can share the transcription with my family. The team is receptive whenever I’ve asked questions.

My family has a lot of doctors appointments - I have young kids who frequently go to the doctor, and I also had a parent recently diagnosed with cancer.
