Super happy I can get Lobster rolls anytime I want and not rely on a specific food truck that comes around every couple of months.
I have come across a couple of downsides though. 1) Y’all truly need to roll out more locations, specifically Fort Worth area for different methods of curbside, pickup, delivery. 2) Forcing users to choose a location first before being able to view the menu is not a good user experience nor a good use of accessibility and usability. 3) Your actual website does not show more than one location when choosing: pickup, curbside or delivery , like it shows on your app. 4) Speaking of app, those on the go using CaptainDs , need and must have a seamless streamlined experience to view the menu regardless of location, decide if they want to order and then let them see if there is a location near them. 5) Your responsive design for Tablet devices on CaptainDs , is not designed for tablet design. I see it as Mobile first responsive design. Your web developer should really fix these and test.

I know this from experience as a Web Developer and now UX Designer. Trust me, you take these recommendations seriously, you will draw in more traffic.

CaptainDs has literally changed my life. It’s like I’ve been touched by the hand of god himself. I used to have to order at the drive through and now I can just order ahead. This review is totally not embellished or faked by the corporate offices

The interface is great, however, the rewards system needs work. It will not let you redeem rewards when you have sufficient points. It always says “insufficient points” when I try to apply it to an item. I have 273 points and when I try to redeem something for 50 or 100 points it gives me an error. I have tried on CaptainDs and the website, the same issue occurs.

Can anyone tell me how to add the receipt to CaptainDs for reward points, emailed customer service but they won’t reply back, called the customer service number and they said someone would be in touch but haven’t heard anything. None of the numbers on the receipt seem to work.

No issues so far. Read a lot about the reward issues. Haven’t got that far yet. Will update as needed.

Can’t change personal info once you’ve set up an account. Submit option doesn’t work at all. Items like fish and fries is missing. sometimes I just want a small meal.

CaptainDs is easy to use, and I will definitely use it every time I am on the go!

Decent working app

I have enough points for a reward, and it keeps offering the reward to me, but when I added it to the cart, the order wouldn’t go through stating insufficient points. My order total was charged and refunded twice. I finally just gave up…

Good app but I can’t use my points. I have 97 points and it won’t let me use 50 points…need to be fix

Signed up and same day it refuses to recognize my information even though I literally just input it seconds ago! And when I try to reset password it tells me too many requests. Don’t waste your time on CaptainDs, go to long John silvers instead!

Why in years haven’t you put out any money saving coupons ANYWHERE?? Senior Citizens have high costs of medical care and insurance and groceries, why not offer coupons on AARP magazine or newspaper or have a drawing for coupons. It would be so nice but I can’t afford your prices they’re just too steep!

You should have a way to scan and get points from the meal You just ate. even if you didn’t order it through CaptainDs . Like Taco Bell does.

Signing up was supposed to give you 6 free hush puppies. It doesn’t matter what I try to order, it says it doesn’t qualify! What a joke of an app!

I reset my password since my phone number was in use when I tried to set up account. I can now log in thru the website but my password will not work on CaptainDs

I have over 150 points & it won’t let me redeem an item that is 50 points. Kinda aggravating! I tried to contact customer service but nothing!

I could login on website but NOT in CaptainDs . Tried over and over NEVER worked!

Please fix app so that you are able to delete an item you no longer want by adding this feature. Otherwise CaptainDs worked fine.

Haven’t even gotten the chance to order. There’s no way to remove an item from the cart once you add it. Other apps have remove or edit under the item or you swipe left and that removes the item. There’s no way to turn the quantity to 0 as a way to remove either. I swiped and closed CaptainDs to start a new order. I pay for the order and the pay button just changes color from orange. There’s no confirmation that the order is complete and has been paid for, so I hit the back button. Another problem, the order is still in the cart. So I hit payment again and then it tells me order has already been placed, yet the order is still in the cart.

I read the reviews and thought maybe it was ok. I downloaded it and one reviewer was spot on. I added an item to the cart and then tried to delete it. There is no way to delete or put an item down to zero. You can increase the amount and you can decrease the amount back to one item, but not down to zero.

The other thing I do not like about CaptainDs is that one must put money onto CaptainDs to use it. I prefer apps where you can order at the restaurant and still get all the benefits and rewards of CaptainDs .

Until CaptainDs gets fixed I will not use it.

Arrived at the restaurant to pick up my order after the time it should have been ready waited 40 minutes asked for a refund was told it’s almost ready waited 10 more minutes got home missing 2 add on items fries were so cold we couldn’t even eat them corn on the Cobb was straight out of the cooler they didn’t even attempt to heat it up not to mention the staff was extremely rude with the exception of 1 girl that was really trying to help everyone unbelievable is how I would sum it up

Love CaptainDs . Except the fact that you can’t set a later time for pick up. I was driving 40 minutes back home and needed to order before I left. But then it told me to pick up in 15 minutes and gave me no option to change the pick up time.

Came by last week to the Canton Rd,Marietta store. The food has improved so much we have already been back again. Thank you for bringing our good restaurant back.

While I love the food at my local store, I’m disappointed that CaptainDs doesn’t allow me to order for pickup and not be able to pay with cash.

Need to offer more points than you are now, plus there needs to be a way to get the food fixed BEFORE you get to the restaurant. Isn’t the entire point of doing an order on an app to jump ahead? As soon as the order comes through, they aren’t even looking at it until 10-15 minutes AFTER you place it. Takes too long to get food at some Captain D stores.

App itself functions great. Very easy to view the menu, add to cart, and place order. The issue lies in not receiving any rewards points for either of my orders. Kind of makes the rewards system pointless.

I always like to do mobile orders and usually only pick places with rewards and offers. CaptainDs is only good for placing orders. After two orders, no rewards. I cannot apply the offer for free hush puppies. Very disappointing. Called customer service to see what can be done, waiting for a response.

Quick and readable site

Can’t create an account. Does not say What information is missing, doesn’t highlight anything, doesn’t appear to have any missing categories when you go back through the three screens to fill out. Just tells me it can’t complete because there’s info missing.

Might try again later, but since this was my hopeful workaround to a location that doesn’t seem to want to sell anything anyway, it will probably be a while.

I found it difficult to sign into my account. I had to begin my order before it prompted me to login. I think a login button would be easier, or keep me logged in on CaptainDs .

I tried to set up an account four times it wouldn’t let me. I finally ordered as a guest and when I went to pick up they were out of clam strips and wouldn’t substitute or refund my money. Told me I had to do it on CaptainDs , and there was no way to do it on CaptainDs . we eat at Captain D’s pretty regularly, but will consider going elsewhere from now on.

I cannot log in, when I try to sign up again, I am told my account already exists. When I sign in as guest, it lets me order, but when I want to pay, I get kicked out. This has been an issue for a few months now - which makes me order elsewhere.

CaptainDs works well for me, but there is one problem. There is no way to remove an item from your cart. You can edit the item (sides, quantity of the item), but you can’t remove it… This REALLY needs to be added to CaptainDs … I would give it 5 stars otherwise…

The only way to get reward points is by ordering through CaptainDs . That’s my only negative issue with CaptainDs. It needs the option of being able to add receipts or maybe get points for using the card connected to your app.
