After reading the reviews I was not sure I wanted to upgrade and possibly risk having a bad experience, especially when it involves my hard earned money! But I trust my tellers (such lovely ladies) at my local AC and she said she has a flare Acct and has never had any problems so I was in! I haven’t had any issues, in fact, I’ve found it much easier to find solutions within FlareAccount I.e. contacting customer service or trouble shooting or pausing my debit card at the touch of a button.
**most importantly: their customer service** I always seem to luck out ending up with a wonderful customer service rep every time I need their help. Special shout out to Janileth, the lovely lady that helped me today. So patient and kind and listened to every word to better address😊🙏 my concerns. So the five star rating is heavily supported by her efforts. Thanks to you all

Stealing money

I recently just got my relief census check in the mail from this corona virus pandemic. And was not able to receive my money in cash when I went into the Ace store in my area to cash it. first I was only able to receive $80 in cash out of $1200 . The rest went to my account. Only used $400 to get groceries and things that family needed because of money struggles from losing our jobs. The following day I go to log in so that I can transfer money to start paying bills and my account was locked and told me to call. They had the nerve to say that my account is no longer available and I am never able to have an account with them again. And that they will send my $800 left in my account to me in the mail. The worst part is they could not give me a reason to why my account was removed all of a sudden and now I am stuck with no money. No card. And no way to pay my bills. If I do not receive my funds in 7-10 business days there will be a big lawsuit!!!!!!! Because this inconvenienced not only my life but my family and my children During a worldwide crisis.

Mobile check capture

The mobile check capture feature isn’t working again. Every other month there is a problem with this particular feature in FlareAccount . Before an ad popped up and wouldn’t let me close therefore I couldn’t use it. Now, after clicking on it the screen is just blank white nothing ever loads up just stays blank. Very disappointing considering I use this feature every month.

App alerts are not working.

The alerts on FlareAccount is not working. Are use the alerts on a daily basis to help track my spending for me and my son. This helps me budget and see if there is any unauthorized activity on my account. Please fix this other issue with FlareAccount as soon as possible please. I do not want to have to go to a different bank to get this feature. Thank you

Check capture

I used to have no problems with loading checks through FlareAccount I don’t use it as much anymore because I have direct deposit but the last 2 times I have tried to use FlareAccount it would not take the check. I had selected the 10 day waiting period to avoid the fees and got an email saying it would not take the check this happened with both a government issued check and a personal check

Do not bank with these people !

They will steal your money. They made up a fake reason as to why they had to cancel my account and claimed they sent my funds in the mail. All the money to my name was in the account and I could not access it. They claimed I would receive it in 7-10 business days and via check but it never came. Every time I called and asked for an update they would tell me the check was “just sent the day before”. When I explained I had been calling for weeks they said they had no record of the call. If I could do no stars I would !

Customer Service

I would rate Ace atleast a 4 but I travel and for the first time my card locked on me, it's midnight and there was no way to use my card and they don't have 24 hr customer service just in case things like this happen or atleast a way we can verify ourselves and unlock the card, not a bad card just need some extra services

NEVER AGAIN ….

I will keep writing reviews until they get it right ! My son passed away and he was not on the account and the shut my account down there was still funds available and they will not release the funds to me and I was able to verify who I am ! They keep saying something about the government but when I contact the government they can’t help either so it’s like they just took my money and won’t give it back ! WORST BANK TO BANK WITH WILL NEVER BANK WITH THEM AGAIN …. If I coulda gave 0 STARS I WOULD HAVE !!!!!!!

Customer Service

Check capture DOES NOT work! Whenever you call customer service about an issue with your account, you can barely understand the representatives due to the thick accents plus not fluent in the English language! There is a HUGE breakdown in communication! There’s no understanding on both parts which becomes extremely frustrating! I am considering switching to Chime! Their ratings are better plus I have heard from many people that it is MUCH better!

Horrible Service

My payroll goes in every week at the same time and it’s several others at my job who also has Ace Flare cards and they receive their direct deposit Wednesday afternoon and I always receive mine late at night. You call to check on issues and foreigners who barely speak English answer and take you in circles and never give a direct answer. You go on FlareAccount and their copying and pasting scripts. I’m going to a real bank. I was only using the card to get paid sooner but I’d rather go to a real bank. DO BETTER!!!

Change my mind about their banking

I already had issues with their check cashing/ deposit fees when u walk in. If ur account gets hacked if too often, locked account no refund. I got a payday loan & instead of being due in 2 weeks it was due 9 days later. My son in law was mobile depositing his checks. After a deposit they locked his account claimed suspicious activity & he’s waiting on a paper check. 🤔Company check & they don’t offer direct deposit. 👎🏾👎🏾

Mobile Check Capture

The mobile check capture option does not function and I have tried many times with no luck. Called meta-bank and also a ACE Flare and they checked my account and nothing was wrong with it. They told me it’s the function in FlareAccount . I even deleted FlareAccount and reinstalled and again the function does not work.

Mobile check cashing issues

Always having trouble with the mobile check cashing. When you call the number provided they give you the run around and tell you to call another number. When you call that number your on hold forever and just give up. Can’t believe they can’t fix this issue!!

Worst Customer Service in my lifetime!!!!

The idiots this bank hires are the worst clowns I have ever deal with in the 56 years I have been banking. Right when I think it couldn’t get any worse it does. My account was locked for a simple phone number change and locked all the funds I had in the bank. Don’t let these people have your money. They will screw you over, and cust service is too stupid to use common sense!!

App keeps saying to enable cookies

I never had a problem until the new version came along. Now I can’t transfer money from savings to flare. I’m very frustrated

New update is horrible!!!

This new update is horrible!!!! I can’t do anything on FlareAccount or website and keep meeting a message saying I have to basically enable cookies for third parties on my browser. Cookies are enabled on chrome and safari yet I’m still getting this stupid message! Will definitely make me close this account and take all my money out and use my navy federal because this is idiotic!

Updates are terrible

Need to go back to how it was. Can’t use FlareAccount to transfer money I will have to go to the website and it still doesn’t work. Been with them for awhile now never had this problem. Telling me to validate my email but when I do everything is all bunch together and don’t nothing comes up. Please fix this and whom ever redesign FlareAccount you fired. 😡

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

If you enjoy being robbed out of your own money then this account is for you. They took $200 out of my account and won’t give it back. I immediately took my tax refund out of here as soon as I seen that. I have argued back and forth with so many foreigners who are reading a script and laughing at me. even talked to corporate, who claims it takes 20 business days to investigate what happened ? Seriously ? I was forced to put my tax refund on this card when I cashed the check at ACE. They gave me a temporary card and NEVER sent a real one with my name on it??!!
Netspend and Metabank are the worst and I’m hoping to start a class action lawsuit soon. Be smart and get a REAL BANK!!

Terrible

I have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get a new card. Which they never even told me I could pay for a card to be sent next day. They have all my money but I have to wait almost two weeks for a card. And another two weeks to get my money back someone stole. Worse bank ever. This is terrible. Do no go through this people . Stay away from anything ace or metabank

Can’t ever mobile deposit cause FlareAccount is too stupid to see the address which is printed clearly on it and I can read it clearly in the picture as well I’ve tried 9 times in a row, do not use FlareAccount or even this bank for that matter. They charge you everytime you use the card and the way customer service talks to you sound like they are scammer trying to steal your personal information.

Horrible customer service. Provided me with mis information and lied about investigating a claim. This has happened more than once in a 60 day period. Avoid. Bank elsewhere.
