Always one bug or another 🤬

Both iOS and Andriod have bugs unlike their PC version. It is so frequent and also require so much to describe the issue so I never reported them. I feel like they never test Avira internally before releasing. All this app employee should use Avira , and they will know how bad their app is. I once reported and all I got were basic troubleshooting steps as if I am some old people who don’t know what they are talking about. I am actually Cyber Security expert as well as IT Support Technician. When I say bug, it is a bug and something that can only be fixed by this app. I was asked addition dummy questions by the this app IT Support Agent, obviously because they are asking on behalf of their developer team and don’t have any clue. It is better to directly talk to the developer team. Have good features that other antivirus apps don’t have. I always tell them to hire better mobile app developer because their current ones su*k! It is unacceptable for the big company like this app! by customer who have been with this app for years as a subscriber

Unbelievably unwieldy

This is the most incredibly frustrating process. I have been attempting to get assistance using the this app website for THREE DAYS, to no avail. There is no online assistance, no phone number, no email, no way to get help other than to type in your question on a public forum page and wait until someone looks at it.

I paid for a two-year subscription to this app Prime in early 2019 using my VISA credit card.
I have my VISA credit card statement that proves my purchase.
I have copies of the emails sent to me that say "Welcome to this app Prime"
I have had this app Prime service until approximately two weeks ago, and without explanation I was removed.
I no longer have access to the previous email address for the account.
Since my account shows no license, I am unable to access any assistance with this issue. I've looked everywhere on your website seeking help, but when I click a link, I'm always sent back to the same page that gives me general FYI responses. And the worst part is you're telling me that I'm not entitled to any personal assistance with this problem because I don't have an this app Prime license.

This is NOT customer service. I paid for a license, and you're not providing me with even the most basic courtesy of a response OR help with what seems to be YOUR issue.

I really would appreciate someone responding to me in some way OTHER than to ask me questions that I've already answered TWICE on your public forum.

Web Prisoner send help!

I can’t stay online or resolve errors, some as old as 6 years. To say this is a poorly functioning mess is to be kind. I can’t get rid of any of the hypothetical breaches as I can’t stay online to do anything. I actually don’t care what breaches may have occurred six years ago, but as far as I can tell, the way you are preventing said breaches is by making it impossible for me to actually get and stay online. Not a great help, in my opinion. I am darned unhappy that what was purported to protect me is doing so by enclosing me in an inescapable informational prison. How do I break free? If you cannot explain how to acknowledge and ignore or resolve these 'breaches' which you delight in reporting, I want my money back and I will look elsewhere for my web protection. If, as you say, you are essentially a VPN, I have several options. Having said, how do I get this monster off my computer and get my considerable bit of money returned?

Needs work and more options of coverage

Avira’s vpn feature is incompatible with some WiFi boosters. Can’t delete the vpn easily, nor is the other protection that is decent offered in a subscription without vpn. Also bug fixes mentioned in other reviews are real. Not renewing for these reasons. Time for developers to fix & update. Not crazy about the data they collect as stated in privacy policy either. Read the fine print, people! The dashboard is convenient and user friendly, only if it’s current and updated. Initially was a good product but like so many apps, it doesn’t get updated or bug fixed regularly and then becomes more work/harm than help. It’s over tech supports head & must come from developers who have taken their $ and split! Nope.

CONFUSING!!

The epitome of a Pycho Ex and “Baby Mama Drama”. I’ve had to close 5 email accounts. My Facebook. Anyway that’s why I got Avira and even bought a iPhone 11 and a new phone number after 13 years having the same number. But, this is a confusion app. Idk if I’m protected? How I am exactly? The website has all my info and picture. Avira doesn’t. It still tells me to install PWM. I’m not sure if this applies to Apple or this app? But I’m signed in to my new iCloud account and Avira was added to the old phone I wanted rid of and suspected was hacked. Now I’m worried all the work I’ve done was for nothing? Because I can’t find out why I can’t locate my devices. It keeps saying it didn’t have my location. It seems like it’s just hard to navigate and understand fully what exactly it’s doing to Protect your info or how?

I like this app because it has options that I can control and gives me enough visibility in what is going on.
It is simple to operate for me because I am experienced. I am wishing for an option that allows incoming calls to be the ones only from my contacts list while the rest of the incoming calls from unregistered / non-contacts should go directly into message. This feature is generally called the white list option. I also wish for an immediate call block and spam reporting with a swipe on all incoming non-contact calls.

After a google rep’ hacker screwed up my phone my passwords and all my emails’ I needed extra security’ your never safe not even (from a employee from a corporation like Google) Really!! She was not from this country, she didn’t like Americans’ I just knew it “ what is she going to do with my pass words and information’ and my contacts? Where do I go to stop her or make her pay ? Did you know you have a spelling error?

I always find it interesting wen a security type app or a reference type website that’s been verified as a real site or app still spells something incorrectly.

As a consumer I’m told to beware of spelling errors on sites, apps, in emails as the product might be some type is scam product. I’m pretty sure your app isn’t a scamming product, but you have spelling problem.

In one of your paragraphs you describe something as it could “Tigger” something. I think you meant to write “Trigger” instead.
The difference is the r.

So, either your app isn’t a verifiable safe app and is showing its real colors with a word that makes zero sense. Or Avira is good but just left out the letter R.

Sorry I had to do this as a review. However, when I tried to contact your company I was advised I needed to sign in. Etc. I’m not sure why I need to have a sign in just to contact the company with a question, maybe it’s to discourage people from writing in.

Not What I Expected

Even with the paid Pro version this app uses and requires Google 'services' as part of protecting you so if you don't mind being incessantly spied on by Google while being 'protected' then go for it. Personally, I want to be protected FROM Google and other bottom-dwelling data miners rather than being in bed with the biggest of them all. This is a dealbreaker for me.

My only other gripe would be that in the limited time I used Avira it appears there is but one color scheme and that is black text on bright white background. I have some light sensitivity vision issues and to me it is almost like looking at a flashlight. I thought we were beyond one-size-fits-all here in 2019. Developers should offer at least a dark theme in this day and age.

Having had my last iPhone not only hacked but hijacked(they not only took all my apps but the OS as well!) plus wanting 100s to give it back, I was nervous about getting another iPhone. It seems, after reading the reviews, that the apps work well for some but not for others. I think you are super intelligent for even making iPhone “antivirus” apps. I am just starting but I feel so much safer! So, once again, thank you for what you do!

Cheap and reliable

If you’re looking for a cheap and reliable VPN look no further. this app has you covered. I was skeptical at first (looking at all the top VPN services and thinking to myself) “if it’s cheap it’s probably not high quality”. But, I was wrong. A buddy of mine actually recommended it and I was impressed with Avira ’s ability. It’s only like $30 a year or something like that for unlimited VPN usage. It’s really a deal too good to beat.

I don’t know what y’all tryin to pull, but I bought this pro once already and y’all tryin me again it’s not workin on my phones either !!! Suppose to protect 5 devises!

I’m resending this once again!!! I don’t know how they do it in Germany but here in the USA we expect to get something in return for our money like the service I purchased and y’all didn’t deliver!!! Almost feel like this is malware

For some reason I cannot delete Avira .. also when I click on it .. it doesn’t load.. comes to a white screen with the logo in the middle and never changes or goes passed that screen. I’ve deleted it 3 times and somehow still there. Everything else on my device works fine and I’ve deleted about 20 apps no problem after the issue. Not sure what’s going on. I gave 3 stars because it seemed to work as intended for awhile when I first got it.

This app wasted my time and didn’t work.

This program failed to identify that my iOS was out of date..... the most basic security check. this app followed up to seek personal data, which shows they didn’t notice the problem. There is no need to review personal data to check iOS updating.

My real problem is MARKETING. What this app claimed was 4 so-called threats.... we’re not actually threats. Rather, it was a list of product features they were trying to sell. So, the program didnt help and rather is just a marketing ploy to waste time downing an advertisement.

This program was no help and my trust is lost. FREE APPS SHOULD DELIVER SOMETHING FREE.

Amazing

I downloaded the pro version and in a matter of minutes it fixed after updated multiple issues I was having that prevented me from updating my computer. I also installed it on my phone and I now have peace of mind with the unlimited data usages with the VPN.

I highly recommend Avira.

I just downloaded Avira today so I don’t know a lot about it. I do know the first time I scanned my phone it showed to security issues I had and fixed them. The VPN works great as well, it connected almost instantly and ran very smoothly, I’ve had no issues so far. As of now I would recommend Avira.

Help

When I try to log in it says that there's an error and to try again later but if I try again later the same thing happens. So how do I possibly fix this and if I can't will you do it brcause there was someone with the same issue. Also any kind of logging in like Facebook Google and the manual log in all say that there was an error and to try again later.

AVIRA MobileSecurity for iPhone VPN PRO drops frequently

this app Prime Suite subscriber in US for almost three years on PCs and iPhones. Added MobileSecurity app to iPhone July 2019. PHANTOM VON PRO for iPhone stayed on reliably until some time in February 2020. Tech Support not able to resolve after weeks of trying. We must reconnect VPN about every time we want to browse online or open email links. Sad.
Just updated this app MobileSecurity app. VPN feature stayed connected about 30 minutes and it disappeared. Just flew away again.
I have Out-flew-enza I guess. Better call CDC, this app tech support quit responding last week.

Great app, however...

This is a great app, however there are some issues that need to be addressed! 1) the application should become more intuitive into detecting when you have completed a tasks. So far that is the only issue that I have come across, I will continue to utilize Avira and if I find any more issues and or concerns, I will write another review.

Bought Prime, but mobile apps need work

The computer protection seems excellent, but my VPN accounts are all different numbers. Very confusing as to whether I am actually using my own account. Also, the mobile security on my iPad has my account name transposed, but on my phone it is correct. This is not reassuring since my iPad kept showing up in a country thousands of miles away from where I am. Have I been hacked again right after purchase?

Malware scan???? Simple question but still NO answer

I got Avira for one reason— to scan for malware. It comes up in top two apps in App Store for malware. BUT I can not find out how to do this. Wasted much time on their app support site. Many people have asked same question; it SAYS question was resolved. But posted answers are things like “yes”. (???) so if it does in fact scan, I certainly can’t figure out how.

Portrait only?

I hardly ever use my iPad in portrait mode. This is, I think, the third security app I’ve tried. Every last one of them simply will not rotate. I’ll give you that there are probably more phones than iPads in the world, but why on earth can’t an app simply present itself according to what the user is doing?

Seems to be a pretty cool app, but not really sure on what’s it’s doing or telling me as there no manual to tell me what’s going on, ie activity show what was scanned with a green bar on the right. What’s the green bar mean?

ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT let me unsubscribe from emails that are sent WAY too periodically. When hitting the unsubscribe button, it brings you to a page on safari telling you to login and download Avira . However, when you download Avira , there simply is no option to unsubscribe from their emails. I don’t even remember signing up for whatever it is that this organization does. TAKE ME OFF THE LIST.

I was sent an email about a free upgrade the email never downloaded completely on my iPhone and because of this I can’t delete it from my phone . I’d appreciate some help with this matter . Up until now I really liked Avira . It works great .

Avira couldn't detect and outdated IOS, while its competitors easily could and it also didn't track Mt 'breaches' as well as others. Peope watch out for apps with such recent reviews.

However. If I could give 2.5 stars they have this 'privact' browser that is so clean and quick.. It breezes In speed past their competitors.

Prince of Thieves

I’ve been using the apps for free, but really wanted to have unlimited protection so I purchased the pro version. Works fairly well for a month. The second month they charge me a dollar more than what I agreed to and Avira is not working. Emailed them 3 times in the last 4 days and nothing has been done. Pay more for something else. This is crap.
