RentPayment is horrible and I can’t believe my apartment unit is forcing us to use RentPayment to process all rental payments! Also am I the only one noticing a huge fee just to process any payment? I don’t know if that’s RentPayment or my apartments but the fee is outrageous! App keeps crashing and won’t allow me to do auto withdrawals after setting it up multiple times RentPayment will refuse my auto withdrawal on the first of every month! I’ve contacted the customer service and they say to contact my apartment office only for the matter to still not get resolved! RentPayment is very unsafe and if you are moving to a home that forces you to use RentPayment to process your payments you should be cautious! I don’t trust RentPayment however it’s the only way for me to pay my rent for the places I live in!

It charges me $27 for a processing fee. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen. As if rent itself isn’t high enough then you want me to spend almost $30 just to pay it and to top it off it takes almost 5 days just to process. Why am I paying a high rate for you to process it if you’re going to take a long time to do it? But that’s not the only bad thing. The site itself glitches. It logs you out every time and says “session timed out”. The first time I used this it took me over an hour just to make a payment because it constantly kept signing me out. I genuinely believe RentPayment is designed to make it hard for you to pay and for your payment to go in late just to you’ll have to pay a late fee.

I’ve been using RentPayment for 3 years and it has generally been okay. Now the issue is that I can’t login. I know my login info but when I try to login, it keeps telling me “login unsuccessful”, and if I keep trying, my account locks after 6 attempts. I finally went onto the actually website and had an email sent to me, to change my password. After that, I was able to login on the website a few times, but I still can’t login on RentPayment with the NEW password, and just now the website is doing the same thing. This is stressful.
Seems like y’all don’t even care that y’all have a 1 star rating. Too many ppl are complaining. Please 🗣FIX RentPayment.

I usually like the ease of doing things virtually. When I first used RentPayment , I didn’t mind paying the $2 fee. I noticed the fees increased with other payments. Also, RentPayment started to have glitches that made it frustrating to use. I really wish my apartment would invest in different online system that would allow me to make my payments. When I have issues with RentPayment and I try to access my account online, it says my “account was is not currently active”. Honestly, it’s not a good system. And customer service is nearly impossible to get a hold of over the phone. I’d rather just pay with a check.

I will be paying for next months rent with a check. I would not recommend using RentPayment . If you want to use applications that work the first time without having to fight with it, then RentPayment isn’t for you. I recently moved to an apartment complex that prefers people use RentPayment. It doesn’t work well and it’s buggy. I clicked on the rent reminder and it closes RentPayment . I tried adding my bank information and after clicking save it just sat on the same screen for several minutes. I had to restart RentPayment and enter the information in two more times before it finally worked. I only foresee more problems to come using it.

Every 3-4 months I have issues login in because according to the system my password is incorrect. Every time I reset it and then it just happens again. I tried filling out the trans union reporting form but some buttons and drop downs didn’t seem to work. Their website is zero mobile friendly so I expected RentPayment to work, but it wasn’t great either. At least it works to pay my rent without having to get a check and bring it to my landlord in person.

Been using RentPayment for a few years now. Paying rent is easy.

My only complaint so far = theres not really a payment complete prompt at all. Something pops up to ask if you want to report this payment for your credit score, but its not a “you have paid your rent this month on time, now you go about your day” kinda message. If there was no reference number (there is, indicating completion) I would not have ever used RentPayment.

It doesn’t matter if your online or using RentPayment . This site is not helpful and a huge waste of your personal time. The fees are terrible, the service is terrible! Magically after 5 times now of resetting my password..... I am still putting in the wrong password!? How can that be? It’s been the same password every time I reset it. However the next time I long in my password is always wrong. I think it’s shameful you’re taking advantage of people during the pandemic and don’t care that your services are terrible and over priced. Look at your ratings!!!!

Ok I’ve been renting the same apartment for over a year and was using the system to make payments every week to keep from having a one lump sum payment.
So this week like every week tried to make a payment and it would not accept the payment and I called and the said it thinks it’s a duplicate payment and I can just call in and make a payment over the phone which defeats the purpose of online payment so will no longer use this system and will just drop the weekly payment off myself rather than letting someone over the phone handle my money

It takes forever to take money out of your account. In this day and age if you make a payment it should be immediate. There is no excuse regardless of which form of payment you use. Waiting nearly a week is unacceptable. And setting up autopay is a doable task but it doesn’t allow you to really pick the dates. For the fact there is a service charge RentPayment needs to be spot on. Efficiency and accessibility should be your top priority but it’s clear that doesn’t happen. Fix and update RentPayment soon please!

When I searched for my address it does not show the actual address. Rather leasing office address with the range of apartment numbers. How would they (leasing office) know who made the payment and for which apartment?
I was also not comfortable to add my bank/ card details as RentPayment has bad rating, not sure how they are managing the card details and whether it is safe or not.

I have had to contact support every month now for three months in a row because I can’t log in. It always takes at least 30-60 mins of my time to do what should be a simple online payment. What one support person says will work one month the one the next month says don’t do that. Then gives me a fix that the previous person said not to to. The ineptitude of this company is astounding and I absolutely HATE that I am forced to use them and trust them with my financial information.

RentPayment is terrible. I submitted my rent payment by using screenshot of my check and it saved my account number inaccurately, thus bouncing the check a week later and having to deal with late fees and frustration. AWFUL!! They are refusing to wave transaction charges and have stated that it’s on me...any building using RentPayment is doing a HUGE disservice to their tenants. RentPayment has shoddy technology and refuses to correct their errors, even when one took the time to address them. The worst experience I ever had with an app. This is my first review ever .. I just needed to do this!

Please save yourself time and money and DO NOT use RentPayment.
If you enter your account or card number incorrectly, RentPayment/system has no feature that tells you you’ve done so, thus causing the payment to be reversed. You are not notified of the error within a few hours of the transaction, but rather days after! This then causes serious problems with the l asking office at your apartment complex. I was charged a $50 fee and almost for a reversed payment and almost a late fee because of the timeliness of notifications.

App is not great, but what is worse is their customer service. I tried to set up an autopay through RentPayment and it never worked. So I contacted customer service and they told me they couldn’t find any record of my email or the previous payment I had made through RentPayment . They told me the reason their app wasnt working was probably my rental unit’s fault, which makes no sense. Also $45 just to process my payment is criminal.

I enjoyed using RentPayment when I first began using it, but ultimately it became an issue when trying to pay my rent. I was constantly met with a “this appears to be a duplicate payment”. I don’t know the reason for this but I’ve always used the same card for nearly two years and within the last few months it has become increasingly frustrating. RentPayment needs an overhaul…..

I see a lot of people saying they’re being charged a fee, when I was moving in my apartment, the nice lady told me to not add my card by number and date because they WILL CHARGE YOU A FEE!! She told me to use my R# & A# which I did and there was 0 fees and I paid actually what I owned! Hope this helps

RentPayment is the most frustrating and inconvenient app I’ve ever downloaded. Paying rent on here is terribly limited. You cannot delete a card that was used for mobile pay… WHAT??? You cannot even add a Kabbage ( American Express) card on this account because it does not recognize the routing number. RentPayment causes you to pay $5.00 extra $4.95 to use a credit card… WHAT??? Why is this being allowed?

App is thrash. Gives you all kinds of different totals when trying to make payments. Had to make multiple payments at $10 for the service fee each. And at the end I was hit w late fee because it turned out I still needed another payment. Even after trying to call and figure out why I kept getting different totals. No answer when you call. But definitely reply back when you’re hit with the late fee. Crazy how that works.

RentPayment used to be good, but it is now completely useless. I don’t understand why developers take perfectly good apps and destroy them. I guess I’m going to have to resort to writing paper checks :-(

So after giving it up, I decided to give RentPayment a try again. Unfortunately, it is still total garbage, after I logged in it froze and I could’ go anywhere with it. Actually, this is the worst app of any kind I have ever tried to use. Don’t waste you time.

I’ve been using RentPayment to pay my rent for the past 7 months and honestly, it’s been great! Very convenient and easy to use. It takes a little time to actually take the money out of my bank account, but that happens. And if you use your bank account instead of a card, you don’t get charged a fee which I really like! Very pleased with this service.

Absolute horrible service!! Based i. The Philippines so they can’t understand you and you can’t understand them. They must have asked me 25 times what I was calling for again. For 8 months I thought my rent payments where being reported to credit union like they said it was so I could buy a house. But nope... the credit union never even heard of them. Nothing reported. Plus they charge you $30 every time you pay your rent with them!!! For what?!?! They didn’t even do what they said they would. Never again is rent payment getting another dime from me

This can be a useful app, but be careful when setting up your account. A simple error cost me a bounced check fee from my development, a blip on my perfect payment history, & this app refused to refund me.

Love the ease of use with RentPayment. Just moved into a property that uses this for online payment and found the interface very intuitive and simple. Not inexpensive transaction fees, but a great app nonetheless.

RentPayment is only showing the water/cable bill it does not allow you to pay the rent. I reached out to customer service she told me to contact the property and resolve it through them and then closed the ticket. RentPayment is probably trying to steal your card information. I would not download or use RentPayment. I am deleting it off my phone.

When you open RentPayment it will give you all of your info but it never allows you to pay from RentPayment . I set up monthly reminders and that only worked once. I also tried to set up an auto pay and that only worked once. I am not sure who is maintaining RentPayment but they need to start from scratch to fix this one.

My apartment complex requires using this company to make monthly rent payments. I have never had issues going to the website. But RentPayment doesn’t work. I attempted to pay my rent and it didn’t register so my apartments thought I hadn’t paid my rent.
I went to the website and it worked just fine.
So unless they fix RentPayment, I wouldn’t use it.

It’s seems like such a simple thing to do so I find it weird why we can’t see our rent and how much left we owe on it till after the fact. That said, the utter threadbare nature of RentPayment and the many n site does it no favours. I wouldn’t use RentPayment if my apartment hadn’t been acquired by some group that does.
