While I love BuddhaBuddhismQuotes500 for its positive qualities, as a scholar of the Buddhist cannon (the nikayas) it is hard to ignore the fact that many of these quotes are not actually a part of the Buddhist religion, and have no actual root in the cannon of Buddhist scripture. I cannot say where they come from, but I can only comment that amongst the Theravada Buddhist monastic community we have had a good laugh or two at the inaccuracy of some of these 'quotes' that actually cannot be found to be words spoken by the Buddha. It’s ok , but more boring that others for the reasons above. Right now out of 4 apps like this I would delete this one first, but it has potential.. One way to make it A cut above the others would be a way for the user to add their own quotes or in some other way customize the experience.

What would move BuddhaBuddhismQuotes500 from good to GREAT is putting more space between the ad buttons on the bottom and the arrows that move you forward or back. I don't have fat fingers but still find an annoying ad or app opening up when I've gotten to close to the bottom of the page. I'd rather be reading the wisdom of the Buddha than having to navigate out of an ad multiple times.

As a dedicated Buddhist this ap uses loose interpretations at times and does not really go in depth. Which is both good and bad. Good that it can points the souls to research and study if interested. Poor in the fact that some "some" of the passage are not done justice by simply stating them.
