Incredible

This game has lots of good features and it’s great. I have so much fun just completing chipping away at the harder levels and trying to perfect my score. I love mastering the algorithm and getting faster and faster. Only two problems. First of all, the leaderboards. There are multiple hackers at the top of a few leaderboards that have completely impossible scores. I believe on level 13 someone has a score of 5. Second of all, it’s very, very hard to notice, but, when you notice it it completely sets of your concentration. The discs slightly vibrate up and down a pixel or 2 very fast. I don’t think about it often, but when I stop to breath to continue playing my level I see the vibrating discs and sometimes I completely forget what I’m doing. One time it caused me to mess up level 13 ~1800 moves in. If these problems are fixed this might just be my favorite game!

Edit: Thanks for fixing the level 13 leaderboard, I also noticed level 10 has a score of 1022, 1 below the best possible score of 1023. Edit: Level 10, Level 9, Level 7, and Level 4 all have impossible scores. Thanks for fixing level 13!

Great design, one major problem

I really enjoy HanoiTowerTouch, it’s simple and bug free. I use HanoiTowerTouch a lot to calm myself. However, the drag and drop feature makes shifting towers 9+ really wear down on your thumb. I think some type of feature where you only have to tap would minimize this.

Also, the impromptu ads make it hard to keep track of where you are in the tower shift as it breaks your concentration unexpectedly. I would be willing to invest in
a “pro” version to get rid of the ads if thats an option

Love tower of Hanoi but..

I hate to see such a great ancient game come back from the dead on this new platform but I hate to see how this monetizes it. Yes I understand that developers need to make money but paying a dollar for 10 undos? Isn’t that a bit ridiculous? I mean these puzzles get up to the tens of thousands of moves and just to dangle that over someone’s head who is a couple of moves from a perfect score is now and days pretty typical of these types of games and I was hoping this may be the exception but was disappointed. I would be more than willing to pay to remove ads or even watching ads which the developers make money off of anyway to help support said developers. I mean how about giving coins for competed levels or something like that. Besides this big issue this game would be perfect. 2 stars until this is fixed. Thanks

Great gameplay

Edit: Developer added the ability to resume play!

Original review: The gameplay is perfect through seven or eight rings. After that it’s hard to continue because HanoiTowerTouch doesn’t save progress and resets when you switch away for more than a few minutes. This is a fatal flaw in higher levels that take many thousands of moves to complete and aren’t played in one sitting. I would change this review to five stars if this bug were fixed.

Good Game for Wasting Time

This game is great for wasting time and you can pick up where you left off. The ads can mess up your rhythm, but it only costs half a dollar for 3 months ad free. Well worth it for the time I spent on this game. I wish that the animation was even faster as once you get in a rhythm, the only thing holding you back is the time it takes to move each ring. Otherwise, easy 5 stars!

Fun

Suggestion: maybe put a timer and also track time spent on a given run.

Love the game, however it is a huge troll, LOL. it is impossible to finish the game. The last level would take about 2 years and 2 months to complete, assuming you made 1 move per second. Thought id get to level 26 with some dedication, not likely 😂

Seriously though tons of fun!!

Slower than the brain

The animations to play this game has an option to be sped up, but even the faster animations are too slow for me as a player. As a speed runner of ToH, the animations need to be nonexistent for competitive play, otherwise the timer has no value on HanoiTowerTouch. I would also like to see the disks and pillars minimized in size. The visual clutter does bog down faster players. I won’t recommend HanoiTowerTouch until they accommodate ToH speed runners.

Nice game

Nice implementation of this game. A perfect game requires (2^n)-1 moves, where n is the number of discs. Level 26 would thus require 67.1 million moves at a minimum. The recursion gets hard to mentally track at about level 9-10. I wonder how far some have actually made it.

Good basic game play, but control is inconsistent

I like this game but when more than one tower is available, the game control is very inconsistent in interpreting screen swipes for placing rings. If two tower are available in the direction I’m no wing, the game persistently places rings on the other tower than the one I’m indicating. This ruins my move count when I’m trying to accomplish the goal in a minimum number of moves. Very frustrating.

Much better than all the other Hanoi games out there

Game can be improved drastically if you add an option to move the rings with just taps rather than sliding (i.e. tap on the tower you want to move from, then tap onto the tower you want to move to). Sliding causes so many unwanted errors.

Also, adding a timer for how long it takes to solve will bring a lot of excitement to the game. Rather than having thousands of people tied for first with the least amount of moves per level, it could be ranked by time AND least amount of moves.

UPDATE:
Ads in the middle of the game? Come on. I get ads when you open HanoiTowerTouch , but in the middle of my swipes is overkill. Wastes all the progress made for high levels.

Feature request

Please, please, please, add option to move disks just by tapping twice (disk first and then destination) Instead of dragging. It will be much faster to complete. I tried all the different versions of this game and no one has this feature.
Thanks!

stage 12

the game itself is fantastic, theres just one thing i have noticed: when you finish stage 11 and then exit out of it, stage 12 seems to still be locked, despite the 11th stage having stars attached to it.

Note: an undo button would be a nice touch cause say youre 3000 odd moves in and you make one mistake, its annoying to have to do the while puzzle again just to get a perfect score.

Faster animations please

Very fun to spend time doing the harder levels. I’m currently trying 17. I would love if they added even faster animations. So I can go faster without having to worry about missing a step.

Cannot listen to other audio

I would love it if I could listen to audio from my podcast while I play. Once you know how to solve the puzzle, you follow the same basic algorithm again and again. Not being able to have audio from another source while playing makes the grind of playing not worth it in the end.

Pretty Decent Puzzle Game!

I love puzzle games and I love Hanoi Towers. This is a great game with distinct levels increasing in difficulty. Perfect for lazy Sundays and long commutes. The animations take a little longer than I’d like, but it’s not really much of a problem. Just minor cosmetics. Great work!

Pretty much what you should expect from a free app

Good tower interface. Once you get to the longer towers, stop trying to win 3 stars for a perfect run, ads will interrupt you occasionally which will mess with your flow. It also interrupts audiobooks and podcasts, which vu like to listen to while playing Otherwise it’s a solid app.

Recommend

Doesn’t look like much on the outside, but it is so good, detailed, and it there are different levels and features that you wouldn’t see in a small game like this. Great game!

Tutorial thing restarts your game

Yea it does that. I played 16 and when I clicked on it (question mark) out of curiosity my entire progress was restarted just like that. It would be nice if SOMETHING was done about it. Because if someone clicks that and their progress restarts they’d wanna quit life.

Cool

I find it hilarious there’s a level 26 considering the minimum number of moves to finish it is 2^26-1 which is over 67 million. I was really surprised it went that high. Cool app though

Great to pass the time!

I’ve worked out a pretty good strategy and just finished my 10 stack tower. Got a perfect solution of over 1000 moves! Next one is double that. Yikes! Great app, and I like the faster animations!
