Yet again in app purchases ruin another game . Constant harrassing to buy,buy,buy . Massive ads to get anything to force to buy ads free . Diamonds to promote ? Seriously ? Any time you have extremely high in app purchases in a game as this does ($100) for diamonds . The levels will start off fun then get impossible to go further unless you play previous locations over and over and over and over ,to get strong enough . But of course you can help that along with , you guessed it , (diamonds)want boosts as the game is designed to get super tough to impossible? You guessed it . Even more diamonds . Want to bring your heroes back alive and fully charged ? You guessed it (diamonds) .
So sick of what gaming as become today . I was looking forward to this game as i like tower defense games a lot . Irritating as i have to delete the game !!!

I was excited to see there was a new game from FM but you where better off focusing on a bug heroes 3 with MULTIPLAYER that actually works and gives reason to play. I love all your games and go back to them all for nostalgia. Just try to be more creative EVERYTHING IS THE SAME the only difference is there is a enemy path and upgrades on towers and heroes i think slime and webber are new…ish. Just make a bug heroes game like the first one with a good multiplayer no need for the fancy graphics either just focus on fundamentals then add to that

Love the series and makers but was incredibly underwhelmed with this game.

The makers are usually surprising with how action packed and feature filled their games are that make them more likeable than some console games.

This game was sad. Sad because they went the money route and left the passion behind. I was really wanting a full game experienced that rivaled console quality but instead got a game that’s worse than the previous. This “game” was constructed for payment first and gameplay second. Riddled with IAP that make it a pay to win. To further your conquest it requires you to pay and that not including $5 for removing ads, $5 for gamepass and it still punishes you for not paying more. Would have really hoped for a full game where we can pay a one time price (I’d be fine with $20 if it was worth it) and maybe cosmetics.

This was made to make money and has ruined the brand.

I’ve played almost every Foursaken game since NY Zombies. I like this developer because they’ve had a track record of quality games that, for the most part, don’t really bug you about IAP too much. I was really excited for this one and the $10 no ads pack was a no-brainer.

Well, every time I open BugHeroes I have to close out of a “deal” that wants me to spend somewhere between $5 and $8 of premium currency. This is so pushy and annoying and isn’t much better than the ads that I paid $10 to not see. It also happens between games. Is that not an ad?

The game itself is fine, it’s fun but most upgrades I’ve found require a bunch of in-game currency to upgrade just for the level so there’s not really a feeling of getting stronger between games. There are permanent upgrades for leveling towers but that’s much less common.

All in all feeling pretty let down on this one, I expected better from Foursaken on the pushy IAP part.

Game would be easy 5 stars if it wasn’t impossible. I’m stuck on one of the first stages in the game because enemies simply have way to much health, and my DPS can not keep up. Pls fix

Bug heroes has been one of my favorite franchises and I was so excited to see this pop up. As a fan of the tower defense genre I was stoked to get to play Forsaken’s take on it.

Unfortunately right away the game is plagued with micro transactions. From ads to “deals” to “season passes”. The season pass is the most egregious monetization I’ve seen in a mobile game. It’s a weekly season that requires 750 gems to activate which you’ll have to buy the larger 10 dollar pack of gems to get it. And you only get roughly 200 gems back? They’re asking you to shell out 10 dollars a week if you want to active the season pass. That’s a hard pass from me.

I paid for the no ads out of my love for the franchise but that’s all the money I’ll be spending on this game for the foreseeable future.

Additionally, the fact that they haven’t added any new heroes is very disappointing. They’ve actually removed some of the old heroes.

Needs controller support for the other camera

Was hoping for a new bug heroes game but this is not really what I expected or wanted. I don’t like the gameplay change to a more bloons like td game. I much prefer the old style tower defense they were doing in the previous bug heroes games. The maps in this game are small and it really limits how far your hero can go they should have made this game like block fortress war in a way or they could have just added more content to the second bug heroes game. I also don’t like that here are NO new heroes, just some of the ones from huge heroes 2 with mostly the same skills.

All in all it’s not bad just hoping this is a spin offf and we get a proper bug heroes game in the future. I am very interested in noblemen 2 though

I love the game and the series as a whole but enemies like the siege tower having 9999 armor is just ridiculous. It makes you lose a lot of fights just because you have to level your towers a ton to even increase your dps to deal with enemies like this and the rate towers upgrade is kind of slow and to “rank up” towers you have to use gems but you don’t make enough gems to consistently rank up towers and heroes. It would be nice to have rank ups be gold in the thousands rather than gems so you can grind things easier.

Honestly been playing for for a bit and I gotta say this is pretty fun especially different heroes you can play with it to mix up your strategy I’m glad this game is made since it’s pretty fun :)

I love this game and would really love to be able to give it five stars, but there are a few issues that prevent me from doing so in good conscience.

First: even *after* spending $10 on the premium game purchase, there are a few things that remain prohibitively expensive (things like tower and hero promotions and battle passes) which is something I would have expected to be remedied at least a little after putting down money for the *full* experience.

Second: There is an ‘endless’ mode which is pretty much the only thing to do after beating all the other houses, but it’s got a few major issues. Firstly, the game’s performance gets pretty bad around round 130 or so even on my new iPad. And secondly, despite the time to complete each round getting longer due to stronger and stronger waves with more and more enemies, the rewards gained do not increase with this, so realistically you actually gain rewards *SLOWER AND SLOWER* the further you get in this mode which is a little demoralizing.

I want to finish by saying that I would recommend this game and I do like it, but as someone who is passionate about it, I would love to see some changes as well.

I love it when a tower defense game gives you control of a little character to run around with (like Sanctum 2). The only thing missing is multiplayer. And it really could use it. Really really. Great fun. Adds are a little cumbersome but it’s how they make their investment back. Would prefer single purchase and then a fully unlocked game personally. It’s good fun and even better uninterrupted.

1. Maybe we should add a check that No longer allow treasures to generate too close to the food stash. I’ve been stuck in Pillbug5 once, unable to find the treasure 2. Lower the upgrade diamond requirements. Tower lv24 requires 350 diamond, add seems that tower has around 70+ levels. You should not act too greedy for those hardcore players 3. Add tower battle pass. We are TOWER defense game, and we only have hero battle pass, really?

I’m writing this because I first played y’all’s game at 14 years old(heroes and castles 2, I think?) and to see y’all constantly pump quality games out 7 years later. I am older and have a lot more responsibilities so I can’t binge play y’all’s games as much haha. Y’all are a fantastic studio with many talented developers and I just wanted to take time to write this review. Happy Holidays.

Thanks to Foursaken Media🙏, bug heroes 2 is the game I played in elementary school and I enjoyed it very much. Now that I'm working, the moment I play the new game, I cry. Everything is so familiar. I'm from China, and I had a community about the game, and we talked about the game Bug Heroes2 together. Now we are all grown up. I love you all forever! Thank you for a wonderful childhood!

Every game I play by this company astounds me. The gameplay loop, the progression, the characters are always perfect. I hope one day they make larger console games. Fantastic job guys, please keep making great games. I’ll be sure to vote with my wallet a bit as well! Thank you for the great times!

I’ve been playing these but berries game since they can out when I was in middle school, I’m now in my senior year in college. That should speak for itself

It’s not often I write reviews but I thought this one warranted it. This is a very fun and enjoyable game. I’ve played quite a few tower defense games and they’re all fairly similar and I get bored with them pretty quickly. But I’ve actually played this one without feeling that way. It’s a great game and look forward to playing it more.

If you love tower defense this is a must play game! I have put endless hours into this game and even purchase many gem packages to support the developer. THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE! Bug Heroes 2 not as fun, game mechanics and camera angles not as good and the tower defense challenges the environment is the same over and over again. I hope the developer comes out with a Bug Heroes 3 and that it’s similar to the first release and focus’s on the TD as a core.

I never pay money for mobile games, but was happy to pay $10 to remove ads.

I’ve been playing tower defense games for 20 years and this is one of the best since kingdom rush. My only complaint is that it needs some balancing. As it is, you get too many power ups, and can count on them in every round, so can just power through the game by spamming some money crates at the start of each game

Not gonna lie I almost had given up hope on another Bug Heroes game. Low and behold, I randomly I open up Bug Heroes 2 and BAM! New game! Just trying it out and so far I love it! Change of pace from the others but it feels like a good direction for the series. Yes, this is only my first impressions and my thoughts on the game are subject to change, but as of now this is very fresh and exciting! (Still definitely wouldn’t mind Forsaken opening up development on Bug Heroes 2 again tho 😏) But for real, as someone who’s played all the other Bug Hero games, this seems like another great addition!

It starts hard but everything can level up quite a bit and you keep getting stronger if you grind or watch optional ads. The game is fun and unique but it is badly in the need of updates! There is a level that requires silver keys but they do not exist yet? Tower destroying bugs are way overpowered. Please give towers a lot more health. Its ok to target them but the towers need a chance! Some towers like optical are extremely expensive but need buffs because their range and damage make them useless.

This game is the top of my list for old games getting that big shot/come back and the game devs took that shot and blew it out of the park 10/10 game love to see more from this game also people say there’s so many adds so for o haven’t seen one except for if I want to get a free chest but that’s it

If I’m being honest this game is a true masterpiece I get it JUST released and all but this just improves the entire integrity of the bug heroes franchise I truly liked the series and I’m already addicted to this game and bug heroes 2 was also a masterpiece

Different levels of game time gameplay difficulty design is great, the early content is also very rich, but play to the later content is still some monotonous, looking forward to more updates, the latest 20 star upgrade is great. In-app purchases are also very reasonable, adding a lot to the game experience without disrupting the game balance and experience

I’m writing this pretty early into the game, but so far, the launch hasn’t been rocky, nor unpleasant! The game runs smoothly, and the little hero thingie is a nice little touch of uniqueness to spreads itself from other TDs!

It’s a great game if you have nothing to do and wanna try a new tower defense game that isn’t a copy and paste. Different game mechanics than others but makes it good

Love this game! I’ve always liked tower defense with a hero you control and run around! Everything plays well! I just wish there was controller support.

Is there multiplayer? I liked the old games since I could play with my brother.

I always liked tower defense games. And bug hero's takes that to another level.

Perfectly captures what made the original and sequels so great and further improves on it. These brothers know how to create lightening in a bottle.

This game pretty sick

I’m a pretty intensive mobile gamer. I have tried out 80% of the more popular games available. And I’m saying that— foursaken media have been the most consistent and dedicated developers I’ve ever seen from creators here. I’ve downloaded all their games and happily spend money to support them because they do such a good job. This game is no different. If you like bloons and the TD genre, you’ll like this game. If you’re like me and love a minion/summoning approach to combat, they’re are multiple heroes and towers that cater to it. Combined with an in depth upgrade system and hero/tower variety. Can’t recommend this game, or other games from these devs, enough.

Foursaken rarely disappoints me. Though they have a fascination with bugs and turtles now (it seems); I can still remember the addiction to their Block Fortress universe. That is were my loyalty grew. Still, I love the tower defense genre and this is great game by any standard. Seems well balanced thus far and the upgrade system does not feel as if you need make real money purchase to further the story. If you have patience, and a stomach for ads, I believe you can eventually obtain all upgrades. Worth a try, I think you will know within the first few levels if this is a game for you.

What I loved about the Bug Heroes games was that I could play with other people. I hope they add a multiplayer feature or even a mode that was like the bug heroes 2 gameplay. But this game is super fun I can’t wait for more heroes and new levels. And if they do add multiplayer I hope it does not require a Game Center like in their other games.

This game is amazing! It has your generic free to play options but you can tell the developers cared about the characters with the lore that you get about them. The game is fun with a bunch of different viable options. It does drain your battery quick but that is to be expected with everything going on. Replayability is nearly endless and the gameplay is fun. My only complaint is the battle pass seems almost necessary if you want to make high rounds on the airship

If you love tower defense games then you will like this game. It is an open building system which means you can almost place towers anywhere on the map. I have been a fan of the company since I was a kid and I still love it today. The only thing I really dislike about this game is the lack of heroes like bug hero 2. Other then that it is one of the best sandbox type towns defense. Like the reason I said above it is the open building type.

This one’s great. Definitely get this TD. I’ve played all the others, this feels a bit different and high quality.

First day and it seems really fun I like the multi pov & the graphics are very nice but I kinda wish 60 wasn’t the cap for frames it doesn’t make or break the game for me but I would love the option for devices that can handle it would make the game feel a bit better or maybe like 90 or something if you’re a person who is reading this to see if it’s fun it definitely is.
