Limiting legitimate comments

I like getting the world news and other news here. Generally the news is well rounded. My biggest complaint is in the comments. I feel like I’m like being targeted because my comments are never published. I feel it is because someone monitoring them disagrees with them. This morning I commented on a story that had one comment.

In it is stated that similar incidents in the past were a result of arson and that I hope this cases wasn’t. Now, this afternoon there are a total of three comments... but not mine or a comment like mine. Hm... If comments are targeted and so limited they shouldn’t allow comments at all. But they want to have comments so people come back and get them advertising dollars for each time the story is clicked on.

Poor replacement for radio

When opening KSLNewsRadio you're forced to watch—not listen to—an ad for KSLNewsRadio 's sponsor. This is supposed to be radio! Why force a video ad on the listeners, especially when we still have to listen to all the ads that are broadcast on the station? If I lock my screen or switch to another app before the video is done, it stops playing and it never actually plays the program. At least let the audio play in the background if I have to put up with KSLNewsRadio sponsor.

If that wasn't bad enough, the audio stream often just stops after I've been listening for a bit. Terrible app.

Two steps back

The latest version of KSLNewsRadio is terrible. If your screen goes to sleep it stops the audio from playing which is a terrible experience. You used to be able to play the live stream and put your screen to sleep so it does not waste your battery. Now you have to leave the screen on to keep the live stream. Need to get a fix out for this ASAP. Also, like everyone else with a review, having to listen to that blasted commercial from Anyhour services is very annoying. I get trying to profit from KSLNewsRadio but I still have to listen to all the commercials on the radio...isn’t that enough?

Nice to Hear on Demand- Tired of Ads

So every time I want to listen to KSL on live demand, I need to hear an advertisement from Any Hour Services. That means when my phone rings, or a message comes through, or I look at an email, then go back to KSL, I must restart KSLNewsRadio even if it is paused and hear Any Hour Services again. It’s like I wouldn’t call them if my life depended on it for the advertisement abuse I get from the application. It’s not Any hour’s fault but the way KSLNewsRadio works. Why do I know that, other live radio apps do NOT require a repeat of the sponsor’s advertisement.

Buffering problem

I like to listen to the BYU games. For the past few weeks, your app has paused about every minute. If I let it go, it will sometimes start playing again but mostly it just hangs. I have to restart it. That means I have to listen to Mike from Any Hour Services tell me about his company while “my program loads.” I know I’m getting KSLNewsRadio for free. I know someone has to sponsor it. But a reset and commercial every few minutes while the game is still going on is intolerable (first world problem). I think I’ll download an FM radio app and just skip KSL’s altogether.

Radio is useless. Awful customer experience

The radio just randomly cuts out all the time. Fine, not a big deal, I’ll just open KSLNewsRadio and hit the play button again, except the radio is now frozen and I can’t hit the play button. So now I need to kill KSLNewsRadio , then I reopen KSLNewsRadio and push play on the radio, but then I have to sit through a 30 second ad before the radio starts up again. I’m listening to more ads than I am the KSL radio. Terrible user Experience.

Ads play before you can listen

So disappointing to now have “Any Hour Plumbing” ads play before the program will load. This is a cheap shot at creating more ad revenue. We are already listening to the regular ads that are part of the program, this just delays starting the program which is annoying when you are switching from listening in the car to KSLNewsRadio hoping not to miss the dialogue.

Several ads don’t belong

I understand the need to have ad revenue during the live programs. However the ads break in during middle of conversation or interviews, and some ads are for agencies and organizations out of state, like ads for some New Mexico Health insurance, or an El Paso nursing school. I’d rather listen directly from radio where possible

Okay app

I like that you can access all ksl content in one app. It is a little buggy (freezes if you listen to more than two or three podcasts) and I hate how the ads for the podcast are twice as loud as the podcast. I don't mind ads, I just hate that when I have my headphones in, I have to turn the volume down for the ads.

Great station

This is a great news station, my go to when there is breaking news, abd the talk shows are very good and no screaming at each other

By

Give correct news

U give liberal news that is not accurate information.

Keeps cutting out

KSL has some of my favorite personalities, but it’s not worth listening online as it keeps cutting out. Then it must be re-started which plays the ad again. I appreciate the sponsor’s ad and don’t mind listening to it, however after the um-teenth time the whole process becomes nothing less than annoying and KSLNewsRadio becomes useless to me.

Love the app

When will the movie show be available in on demand?

By

Marginal app

I like to listen to BYU games on KSLNewsRadio, it freezes often and has to be completely shut down and restarted. The ads are much louder than the actual radio content. I wish there was a better app for live radio. It is better than nothing though.

So useful

KSLNewsRadio makes it so easy to listen live or whenever I want. Some of the podcasts are really great too!

By

I get a breaking update. Then no update.

I get a notification on my phone said there’s a breaking update or breaking news and it says press here to go to KSL radio and I do it and it opens up with some left-wing commentator that I have no interest of listening to. I wanted to see what the update was Not listen to that loser. So I am taking this off my phone

Pro Tip

These podcasts are also available on other apps (Apple Podcasts, Overcast, etc.). Those other apps have better controls and don’t have ads. KSLNewsRadio is clunky. Don’t waste your time with it.

App keeps crashing

I like to listen every morning in my home office, but over the past couple of months KSLNewsRadio crashes every 10 minutes.

By

Love!

Quick, easy to use, easy to find what I want to listen to. Great source of local info!

By

Terrible app stops working all the time

This is the worse app. I am tying to listen to the radio or conference and it stops frequently and if my screen turns off it stops playing so it wastes battery. I would have expected batter

By

Thump

When I try to listen to live streams all I get is a rhythmic thump thump thump. It happens with some episodes of on demand shows.
I would also like more Religion Today podcasts.

By

Stops streaming with screensaver

Bad app. Stops streaming every time my screen saver kicks in. Have to reload it each time. Very frustrating and annoying especially when mowing the lawn.

By

The app works great and I get KSL quality content.

Title says it all.

Live video doesn’t work

I have tried several times now to download KSLNewsRadio and the live video has never worked on my phone. Never loads.
