I signed up and paid for Lite and haven't been able to subscribe to any magazines with the IOS app. It's not possible to sign into the web version since it simple shows a circle on the screen as if it were logging in. It never happens.

There is no way to get any support, cancel or resolve any issues.

If I could, I would have given them -10 for wasting so much of my time and the frustration they have caused me. Worse yet is since I’ve been trying to figure out how to use it for a couple of months I’ve forgotten how I paid them and will likely be billed again for renewal since there is no way to cancel.

I did the free 7 day trial and now I am trying to cancel it but it would not allow me! I saw online that I can cancel it through Apple iTunes, but this app doesn’t even show up as one of my subscriptions!
Also, the “Manage Subscription” on the this app website does not even work! It kept loading for 30 minutes and nothing popped up!
To the developers of this app, please fix this immediately! I just saw many reviews about this and it seems like you guys have not taken steps in improving this!
I have already emailed the company and hopefully they will respond soon because this is just unbelievable!

I tried a 30 day free trial for gold service. Unlimited access to a wide variety of magazines. Liked it so decided to subscribe to gold service. What is very unclear with this service is the unlimited acess to all magazines does not apply once your free trial is over. You pay $9.99 a month for a store front to purchase any magazines you are interested in. It is presented as a Netflix for magazines for one price but it is not. Feel this is very misrepresented. Won’t be paying for another month subscription.

Update: was told via email from this app customer service, reason I could not access magazines was they had no record of me purchasing their $9.99 plan. I paid through my apple account. Money was taken to pay for this app. I ended up requesting a refund from apple. Apple being the awesome company they are gave me my refund. Can’t recommend this app. (Loved this app form letter response to any issues users having)

So I read some of the negative reviews but figured I would try out the free version. I really liked what I saw. I immediately accepted the offer for the Gold account, which was free for 30 days, but requires you to allow the monthly billing through iTunes. So you have to go into iTunes settings if you want to prevent charges after the 30 day trial period. OK, I get that. Spent some time reading and was happy with the choices I had. 12 hours later, this app is telling me I don’t have a Gold account. I’ve read other reviews with similar complaints with responses from the company. Obviously, the company either doesn’t care or doesn’t have the know-how or expertise to fix the problem. Think about this, this app: what if your readers contact the magazine publishers that you carry and let them know that your faulty app is giving their magazines a bad rap? Do you understand what I’m saying?

I am unable to contact customer support as there is not a phone number or preferably, an email address to contact them. Today, I was offered a 7 day free trial to this app Gold and I took them up on it, signed up, etc. Then I went to download Magzter to another device and as soon as I opened Magzter it offered me a 30 day free trial - huge difference there. I would love to have the additional time to review Magzter , as I am already a subscriber to Texture...want to see which offers more, which I like better. But no way to contact them about this. I have screenshots of both offers as well as proof of the offers, but if someone would get back with me, would be fabulous! I’ll certainly give it a 5 star rating should I get a response...as a business owner myself, it makes a huge difference to me if a company has good customer support.

Magster claims their Magster Gold subscription will provide access to 5000 magazines, and because it includes thumbnails of of all popular magazines I thought I would have access to these. Instead, only obscure magazines are included. As for the popular ones, Magster just gives access to a 5 page “preview” teaser after which you have to purchase a separate subscription to each magazine to see more. Even worse, Magster is now sending me annoying notifications hyping stories in these non-included magazines. Since I am not interested in the magazines included in Magster Gold and I do not want to spend more money on additional subscriptions I could have just bought directly from the magazines themselves, pretty much all my $49 bought me is more Magster ads. Big waste of money. NOT CLASSY! I want my money back.

DO NOT GET Magzter!!! I was offered a free subscription and my card is being charged $9.99. There is no phone number to call customer service. I see the charges on my bank account but when I go on the this app app it says I have no purchase history. It says the same on my Apple ID so this is definitely a scam and I want my money back. I will not allow them to withdraw money on my account every month for this garbage app with outdated magazines. And the reviews are fake, even the bad ones because every criticism is followed with slight praise. They’re not fooling me one bit

Advertises that they can give you 5,000 + magazines to read. The majority of them are useless. Most all credible magazines they list require you to buy a regular subscription to read. In some cases, the price you would pay through this app is more expensive than if you order directly from the publisher. What a scam. Been waiting 2 weeks to get back my promised payment.

UPDATE: See the developers boiler plate, lame response to my negative review. A marketing pitch but no answer to my complaints. After 10 emails over 2 weeks I still haven’t received my refund on the 7 day “trial” even though I cancelled the subscription the 2nd day. It’s a fraudulent scam and my credit card company is investigating. Run, don’t stop and buy this worthless piece of junk. The 2 founders are nothing but con artists and should be investigated for deceptive advertising and fraud. Apple needs to get their act together and remove losers apps like this from the store.

They advertise access to 5000+ magazines, but after I became a member I found that nearly all of those I was interested in are available for purchase from those publishers for the price of a regular subscription. They are not included with my membership in this app. Fortunately, they have a one week free trial after you give them your credit card number so you can request a refund, which you will likely do. Unfortunately, this refund will take up to 30 days to process! Don’t bother with Magzter. Remember the old saying – if it seems too good to be true it probably is? It is! Don’t waste your time!

They are NOT transparent in pricing. First, when you download Magzter there is only one option, a 30 day free trial where some mags are available but others not and are sold at $4.99 some, I didn’t check all. Are you kidding? I thought the subscription was unlimited like my other app that I can see all a available for the same price per month. Comparing apples to apples, my other app is a bargain and this one is a rip-off. Now I have been looking for 30 mins inside Magzter for other pricing options and where to cancel. I can’t find anything. I am going next to the website. Wish me luck. If I can find it I going straight to Apple customer service.

Great price and replacement for the awful Apple News app. They need to hire a real product manager who uses their product, and can see how some terrible design decisions should be (easily) fixed. For instance, after reading an issue, there is no easy way to delete it from your device. You must navigate in Magzter to some “downloaded” section, then find the issue you just read, then delete. Absolute worst design decision, and proof they are not actually using their own app, because this is just dumb. I bet tons of people simply delete Magzter because of dumb things like that. But this COULD be easily fixed. Just not sure if they will fix it.

I love access to the magazines but I’m frustrated with the viewer app that now requires network access to change bookmarks. Often I’m in a location without WIFI access with my tablet, but I still want to be able to add and delete bookmarks to mark my progress. I’m also frustrated with the buggy, changing interface for managing bookmarks, the inconsistencies of their management and the current failure to keep track and usefully sort those bookmarks for a particular issue—what was working pretty well is now a minefield of errors and frustration.

The UI is very poor. You are immediately shown everything and the kitchen sink but not what you came here for: to read what you already own or want. The purpose is clear, to sell you more of what you don’t already own or want. It’s like a Kolkata bazar, not a good experience. Staff is helpful though restoring previous purchases manually when the restore button doesn’t work. Thanks.

My name is T.Gail Chavis. I already have an account with this app, on my phone. I just got a new IPad, and wanted to have the best of both worlds.

I just don’t want to be charged twice. Some how the company was going to charge me twice , when I put Magzter on my old IPad. I didn’t want to use it at the time because I didn’t want to be charged twice. I believe that won’t happen again. I look forward to enjoying your product for many years.

iPhoneX with iOS 11.4, bought a magazine subscription but Magzter said it was not successful. My iTunes account though was charged and it shows a good subscription. Magzter Restore function fails and I have no access to what I paid for. Deleted and reinstalled app but same result.

***** Update: Within 48 hours technical support fixed the issue and I changed the rating from 1 to 4 stars accordingly. Follow the guidelines within Magzter for reporting problems.

For years I have wanted to read magazines online. Magzter does the job. On an iPad Air, pages turns are quick enough to be similar to reading a printed copy and the resolution is high enough to not be annoying. Unlike a home computer where there is not enough resolution, this works very nicely. Thank you for making this available. I like that the next time I open it, it keeps my place where I am reading in each magazine.

What is wrong with this site? I reloaded the site because I lost all the magazines in my collection; now I can’t restore ANYTHING (as of April 21st.) Now I can not only read the site-only magazines but have also lost magazines I have PURCHASED! Every dollar I spent purchasing books and magazines on your site I HAVE LOST!!
Do you not understand why I am pi$$ed?!? I will make this as short as I can - FIX THE SITE OR I WILL DROP MY SUBSCRIPTION AND FILE A COMPLAINT WITH APPLE APPS AND THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!!

I tried signing up for the 30 day trial. Everything I try to open a magazine, it will not download yet it shows I’m a subscribed member. Help?

The response from Magzter developer resolved the issue, no pun intended, which was on my end. Everything works flawlessly now. I am so impressed with Magzter. I will never buy another magazine again. Thank you and keep up the great work! Finally, something that is too good to be true....really is!!

If you are someone who purchases even 1-2 magazines per week, you are wasting your money at the store. You need to stop now and get a subscription to Magzter. You have access to hundreds of online issues, also available to read offline. I no longer have piles of magazines laying around. I’m also able to save articles and pics of things I like, and share with friends electronically. I’m saving hundreds of dollars per year by canceling my other subscriptions, yet I have so many more magazines to read! A great gift idea, too!

I am currently on a free trial of this app Gold and I like the UK magazines but what I don’t like is that they want to charge me for reading the American magazines which is crazy considering I live in the US. Also another thing I don’t like is that there are too many magazines that are of another language (different languages to be exact) and less of the English language magazines whether it’s UK or US version. Please change my mind and consider including the American magazines as part of your gold subscription? Otherwise I’ll just stick with Apple News + and purchase UK magazines a la carte.

Overall a pretty annoying experience , especially the constant notifications. I only installed this for one magazine that isn't available elsewhere and it is turning out to be a really needy pain. There are only two things I care about... A new edition of the magazine(s) I subscribe to, and a courtesy reminder a few weeks before a subscription renewal... I sure didn't need 8 promotional messages in 24 hours (also had to unsubscribe from emails)

Additional comment after using it for a couple of issues... constantly pushing Gold (as a barrier to reading what I am subscribed to) is a pain, and poor layout/rendering of double page spreads is really irksome. Have let the publisher of the magazine I installed this to subscribe to know they are losing a customer at renewal unless the experience improves

While the interface works well on iPhone and iPad, the web interface is little clunky. Barring these missing features, I think this is a great value:
* no sync across devices - I have an iPhone as well as an iPad and if I read a magazine on one device, Magzter on other device should continue from where I left off.
* favorites organization is severely lacking - I have many magazines as favorite and I can only see magazines in the order I added them. There should be some way to sort/group items
* there is no visible download queue and the downloads stop when Magzter is in the background. I usually like to download few magazines before I leave for a trip but have to keep waiting for the downloads to finish. There is no easy way to know if the downloads have finished so I have to remember the last magazine I put in the queue and see if it is done

Magzter has the most comprehensive selections of magazines and bookazines plus they give you a bunch of free money to buy some more of the stuff you love it also has a web reader so you can read your stuff on iOS devices if you want. I will and do recommend Magzter to everyone who has an interest in digital magazines.
