    Good but can be better

    While the interface works well on iPhone and iPad, the web interface is little clunky. Barring these missing features, I think this is a great value: * no sync across devices - I have an iPhone as well as an iPad and if I read a magazine on one device, the app on other device should continue from where I left off. * favorites organization is severely lacking - I have many magazines as favorite and I can only see magazines in the order I added them. There should be some way to sort/group items * there is no visible download queue and the downloads stop when the app is in the background. I usually like to download few magazines before I leave for a trip but have to keep waiting for the downloads to finish. There is no easy way to know if the downloads have finished so I have to remember the last magazine I put in the queue and see if it is done

    Not clearly explained

    I tried a 30 day free trial for gold service. Unlimited access to a wide variety of magazines. Liked it so decided to subscribe to gold service. What is very unclear with this service is the unlimited acess to all magazines does not apply once your free trial is over. You pay $9.99 a month for a store front to purchase any magazines you are interested in. It is presented as a Netflix for magazines for one price but it is not. Feel this is very misrepresented. Won’t be paying for another month subscription. Update: was told via email from Magzter customer service, reason I could not access magazines was they had no record of me purchasing their $9.99 plan. I paid through my apple account. Money was taken to pay for Magzter. I ended up requesting a refund from apple. Apple being the awesome company they are gave me my refund. Can’t recommend Magzter. (Loved Magzter form letter response to any issues users having)

    C’mon Magzter, really???

    So I read some of the negative reviews but figured I would try out the free version. I really liked what I saw. I immediately accepted the offer for the Gold account, which was free for 30 days, but requires you to allow the monthly billing through iTunes. So you have to go into iTunes settings if you want to prevent charges after the 30 day trial period. OK, I get that. Spent some time reading and was happy with the choices I had. 12 hours later, Magzter is telling me I don’t have a Gold account. I’ve read other reviews with similar complaints with responses from the company. Obviously, the company either doesn’t care or doesn’t have the know-how or expertise to fix the problem. Think about this, Magzter: what if your readers contact the magazine publishers that you carry and let them know that your faulty app is giving their magazines a bad rap? Do you understand what I’m saying?

    Subscription Issue

    I am unable to contact customer support as there is not a phone number or preferably, an email address to contact them. Today, I was offered a 7 day free trial to Magzter Gold and I took them up on it, signed up, etc. Then I went to download the app to another device and as soon as I opened the app it offered me a 30 day free trial - huge difference there. I would love to have the additional time to review the app, as I am already a subscriber to Texture...want to see which offers more, which I like better. But no way to contact them about this. I have screenshots of both offers as well as proof of the offers, but if someone would get back with me, would be fabulous! I’ll certainly give it a 5 star rating should I get a response...as a business owner myself, it makes a huge difference to me if a company has good customer support.

    worse UI than zinio, and incessant upgrade prompts

    Overall a pretty annoying experience , especially the constant notifications. I only installed this for one magazine that isn't available elsewhere and it is turning out to be a really needy pain. There are only two things I care about... A new edition of the magazine(s) I subscribe to, and a courtesy reminder a few weeks before a subscription renewal... I sure didn't need 8 promotional messages in 24 hours (also had to unsubscribe from emails) Additional comment after using it for a couple of issues... constantly pushing Gold (as a barrier to reading what I am subscribed to) is a pain, and poor layout/rendering of double page spreads is really irksome. Have let the publisher of the magazine I installed this to subscribe to know they are losing a customer at renewal unless the experience improves

    Worth a million times over!

    If you are someone who purchases even 1-2 magazines per week, you are wasting your money at the store. You need to stop now and get a subscription to this app. You have access to hundreds of online issues, also available to read offline. I no longer have piles of magazines laying around. I’m also able to save articles and pics of things I like, and share with friends electronically. I’m saving hundreds of dollars per year by canceling my other subscriptions, yet I have so many more magazines to read! A great gift idea, too!

    Works perfectly on iPad Air

    For years I have wanted to read magazines online. This app does the job. On an iPad Air, pages turns are quick enough to be similar to reading a printed copy and the resolution is high enough to not be annoying. Unlike a home computer where there is not enough resolution, this works very nicely. Thank you for making this available. I like that the next time I open it, it keeps my place where I am reading in each magazine.

    I already have an account.

    My name is T.Gail Chavis. I already have an account with Magzter, on my phone. I just got a new IPad, and wanted to have the best of both worlds. I just don’t want to be charged twice. Some how the company was going to charge me twice , when I put the app on my old IPad. I didn’t want to use it at the time because I didn’t want to be charged twice.     Get your bookmarks together

    I love access to the magazines but I’m frustrated with the viewer app that now requires network access to change bookmarks. Often I’m in a location without WIFI access with my tablet, but I still want to be able to add and delete bookmarks to mark my progress. I’m also frustrated with the buggy, changing interface for managing bookmarks, the inconsistencies of their management and the current failure to keep track and usefully sort those bookmarks for a particular issue—what was working pretty well is now a minefield of errors and frustration.

    Won’t Work?

    I tried signing up for the 30 day trial. Everything I try to open a magazine, it will not download yet it shows I’m a subscribed member. Help? The response from the app developer resolved the issue, no pun intended, which was on my end. Everything works flawlessly now. I am so impressed with this app. I will never buy another magazine again. Thank you and keep up the great work! Finally, something that is too good to be true....really is!!

    This is the biggest bait and switch scam in the history of the world

    They advertise access to 5000+ magazines, but after I became a member I found that nearly all of those I was interested in are available for purchase from those publishers for the price of a regular subscription. They are not included with my membership in Magzter. Fortunately, they have a one week free trial after you give them your credit card number so you can request a refund, which you will likely do. Unfortunately, this refund will take up to 30 days to process! Don’t bother with this app. Remember the old saying – if it seems too good to be true it probably is? It is! Don’t waste your time!

    Why are the prices hiding?

    They are NOT transparent in pricing. First, when you download the app there is only one option, a 30 day free trial where some mags are available but others not and are sold at $4.99 some, I didn’t check all. Are you kidding? I thought the subscription was unlimited like my other app that I can see all a available for the same price per month. Comparing apples to apples, my other app is a bargain and this one is a rip-off. Now I have been looking for 30 mins inside the app for other pricing options and where to cancel. I can’t find anything. I am going next to the website. Wish me luck. If I can find it I going straight to Apple customer service.

    This app has the most comprehensive selections of magazines and bookazines plus they give you a bunch of free money to buy some more of the stuff you love it also has a web reader so you can read your stuff on iOS devices if you want. I will and do recommend this app to everyone who has an interest in digital magazines.

    Horrible product: don’t subscribe!!!

    I signed up and paid for Lite and haven't been able to subscribe to any magazines with the IOS app. It's not possible to sign into the web version since it simple shows a circle on the screen as if it were logging in. It never happens. There is no way to get any support, cancel or resolve any issues. If I could, I would have given them -10 for wasting so much of my time and the frustration they have caused me. Worse yet is since I’ve been trying to figure out how to use it for a couple of months I’ve forgotten how I paid them and will likely be billed again for renewal since there is no way to cancel.

    Bought a $30 subscription, no magazine

    iPhoneX with iOS 11.4, bought a magazine subscription but the app said it was not successful. My iTunes account though was charged and it shows a good subscription. The app Restore function fails and I have no access to what I paid for. Deleted and reinstalled app but same result. ***** Update: Within 48 hours technical support fixed the issue and I changed the rating from 1 to 4 stars accordingly. Follow the guidelines within the app for reporting problems.
