East Idaho News Reviews

East Idaho News is extremely biased. They are starting to become like “main stream media”, in that they feel entitled to tell their readers what to think and what the facts are instead of reporting all sides of political issues in a fair neutral way. East Idaho News only cites sources that support the main stream narrative and either ignores all other viewpoints completely or reports on it by blatantly stating that it is false, inaccurate and so forth. The article writers at East Idaho News are not experts in topics they write on. Particularly when reporting on Covid-19, and mask mandates, there is plenty of scientific studies refuting current main stream media narratives, yet East Idaho News reports on Covid and Masks as if they are the authority on all truth and any other perspectives are false. They support this narrative by only interviewing doctors and individuals that support their narrative. The fact is, we are still learning about this virus, the effectiveness of masks and the truth of all of it remains to be seen. Stop telling your readers what to think. Give readers multiple viewpoints in a neutral unbiased way and let the reader decide.

I installed EastIdahoNews to stay up-to-date on local news. As time went on the news articles pushed to my phone became increasingly clickbait-y. Having articles state "local police hunt for whatever" instead of "Pocatello police hunt for whatever" serve only to get people into EastIdahoNews and not to inform. This is especially worrisome when the notification potentially impacts me greatly. To be able to tell at a glance that a wildfire rages in my county vs if a wildfire rages in a local county is of huge importance. One informs me right away that my family is in danger.

And whenever I was in EastIdahoNews , any tiny thing would cause it to reload. Pop ups, checking notifications, etc all would trigger EastIdahoNews to frustratingly reload.

I am so frustrated once again trying to watch a news conference, and EastIdahoNews kicks me out every single time I am using it. I use it to read an article that popped up in my notification, and it kicks me out about 30 seconds in. I get in it again, and same thing! Please fix it!!

I would enjoy more complete obituaries about the people and their life because so many of us live out of state and are unaware of what has happened to each other. Thank you

Anything regional or national is copied in from far-left news outlets which is really disappointing. East Idaho doesn’t want to become California or New York so please just give the facts and let us do our own thinking. If it’s a matter of them sponsoring you, might I suggest some sort of fundraising effort so that you don’t have to push their narrative?

On the other hand, anything done local (by Nate or Eric) is very nice and free of politics. I especially like their support of local events, schools, and businesses.

Very timely news on important things happening now that are close to home.

I stopped using all the other major news outlet apps and happily switched to my hometown local news app about 6 months ago. I was so sick of the dishonest reporting that was taking place and really wanted to stop supporting a source the willfully uses nationals news as a soapbox to push a political agenda. East Idaho you should be disappointed in yourselves, you have fallen in the same trap. We as the American people look to you for the news .. not for your opinions. We can go to Facebook for that. You lose all credibility with the public when you take sides take the higher road and keep it simple and to the point. The news .. no bull.

Fast, informative, clear news. I found EIN through Nate Eaton and the Vallow/Daybell case. I like it enough to stay beyond just that. I like Eric G. also.

Gets the news out fast.

The only local, reliable, non biased news source. You can get relevant news content without the political spin.

I like more news than Post Register!

I like EastIdahoNews it keeps me updated on all the news in my area. Helps me get to appointments on time by letting me know if there are any accidents or road closures.

Life was pointless before I downloaded EastIdahoNews. I decided to contact an old war buddy because of the structure, layout and flow of east idaho news. Thank you for helping me find my true self

EastIdahoNews generally posts news items before the other local news. It's nice to hear about what's happening quickly.

This a great app. I have experienced none of the problems stated in the other reviews. It provides the most timely and relevant news over any other media source I have found. I highly recommend EastIdahoNews to anyone wanting to stay abreast or eastern Idaho news.

I don't live in Idaho anymore but I have family and friends that do. I like to stay informed on what has and is going on there and this news app helps me do just that. I enjoy ALL of the articles in fact we found out we had money owed to us thanks to the report on 'Lost Money in Idaho'. Thanks East Idaho News!!!

We have strong family roots in Idaho. My husband from is from Rexburg, we met
while attending Ricks College! This sad horrific story has enthralled me! I know we are innocent until guilty, however it’s hard to remember that in light of everything coming to light every day!!! I appreciate the unbiased reporting by East Idaho News, as y’all are basically the only way we can keep abreast of any breaking news in Texas!! Thank you for your high standards!!

If you live in East Idaho this is the best news source out there. App is well built and has a pleasant design to it as well as not crashing.
