I love you this app but you’ve become ultra obnoxious about putting ads into articles! They flash constantly, popping up into the reading area. Even if they don’t cover the words on the article, the wiggly ads cause smart phones to flash light in my eyes, making it difficult to focus my eyes on what I’m trying to read. If I delete it, you ask why, then a second or two later serve up another or layer several over each other. Stop! Just stop. There’s no need of it. I’m not going to click an ad while reading an article. I had wanted to read several today. I got so fed up, I deleted all my tabs saved from Google in my browser. I’m sure that will impress your advertisers well. Your job isn’t to aggravate people so much they won’t try to read their content anymore. It’s not your job to annoy me to the point that all I’ll think the next time I see an add for the products you tried to feed me today is “annoying!!!” Your job is to tastefully serve and let me read. Google in particular has become so plagued with ads that I’m seriously thinking of deleting it. I can’t even see the content at times because of pop-up ads. It’s pretty self defeating, don’t you think?

Have an issue and cannot find anyone at this app to help. Literally EVERY SINGLE time I am on this app on my iphone, these blue “tip” boxes pop up. They contain directions and/or explanations for VERY self explanatory buttons and things on the this app page. For example -I search something like “candy” and then on the results that come up there is an overview of the subject searched. Then there is a blue box that pops up and points to that overview button and says “tap here for summary and general info”. I’m not understanding why this app has to define/explain this button every time I search something. I know what overview means. Or I look up a restaurant and a box forms over the “order here” button on the result page and says “view menu and order food.” If these instructional pop ups only occurred once when I first used this app I would understand but every time I search something there are blue boxes all over the page speaking to me like I am dumb lol. Soooo unnecessary and so annoying. Trying to find a way to disable this but no one can give me any info. I’ve tweeted at them and they don’t answer, I’ve called apple who says it’s this app’s issue but no one cares. Have stopped using this app because of how annoying it is.

I constantly come across issues that either don’t get fixed with Google ’s updates or new issues that pop up. An issue I have always had is when I do an image search and I scroll through the results, after scrolling a certain amount it automatically sets me back to the top for no reason at all. This happens every time I do an image search and it has become to annoying, having to scroll all the way back down again. Another issue pertaining to the image search is when I try to save an image. I used to be able to hold down on the image and click “save image” from the pop up interface. Now, this thing pops up but if I lift my finger from holding down the image, to click on the save image button, the thing goes away. The only way I found to do it successfully is once the pop up appears, I have to continue holding down on the image but then scroll up or down a little with it, this will lock the pop up in place so I can click it. Not sure how this issue is still there without any developers noticing and fixing it, since I thought image search was a huge part of Google .

I had been fine using this app mobile for a long time but yesterday it changed the formatting which wasn’t a big deal in itself, but then I went to my tabs to go back to the story’s I had been reading and all my tabs were gone so I thought “ok, I’ll make new ones I remember most of what I had been doing” and I did only to realize that it hadn’t been making new tabs for each site I visited and I had to go and individually make tabs for each site, where as before it did it automatically, but I did all that and had my nice wonderful tabs with all my story’s and sites I read for awhile then logged of and went to bed only to wake up and have all my tabs gone yet again, so I thought maybe there is an auto delete feature and there was so I set it to never remade all my tabs read some more logged of ate breakfast and not 30 minutes later I check goggle and all my tabs are gone again!!! I have no idea why I check all my setting and nothing should be clearing and it hadn’t even been an hour, it’s annoying and pointless.

I’m trying to identify a tune from a music box we have. So I get that the music quality is low fi, but Google is worthless for that. Not only does it fail to identify the tune, it never even gave a guess or acknowledged that it couldn’t find it or suggested other things to try - its dots bounced along with the sounds (so I know the audio was active) but then would just quit listening and return to home with no feedback. We then gave several tests using humming, whistling, and singing along simple Christmas tunes to see if we could get it to work. I’m no virtuoso but, from the examples shown in all the this app ads, I think it should have given me something in all the tests we tried. Only once did it give me 3 very wrong guesses for a Jingle Bells whistle rendition. All other tests only resulted in no feedback at all. If you make any sounds it interprets as words (“la la la” or “blah blah blah”), it goes straight to lyrics that are ridiculously unhelpful and ignore any tune analysis. Maybe I’m missing a prompt or a trick to get it to work but I’ve determined the ads must be straight-up fiction and false.

I use Japanese as my second language on everything, and when I opened Google I changed that setting as well, but I noticed I couldn’t change the order of the languages as English stayed at the top no matter what I did. But I payed it no mind as it still worked both ways. I downloaded Google to use the “hum a song” feature anyways, yet when I first opened Google , the button that you are supposed to use for that feature didn’t show up. I closed Google for a few minutes and opened it back up to finally see the button, but this app assistant seemed to have lost the ability to understand Japanese and would make my words into unreadable English “sentences”. After trying to fix it for 10 minutes I gave up and decided to make sure the “hum a song” feature was actually working. The circle of colorful dots showed up on the screen and moved when I hummed but nothing happened and after waiting for a few seconds, it would close and show the normal this app assistant pop-up at the bottom of the screen. As if I hadn’t pressed the “search a song” button at all. Very disappointed.

I’ve had a hacker on my phone since December of last year. He has destroyed all my contacts, my apps, I’m not allowed to get into my bank app, read my email, can’t download from server most the time. He has done so much to me, I’ve done everything to get rid of him from changing phone service, getting new phone, changing emails, hiring service to get rid of him to find out they took my money and never did anything to my phone to protect me, then refuses to give ve me a refund( McAfee) had 1 year contract that he scam me to buy then he does nothing to help me . I’m can’t take much more , just went through 43 year marriage to divorce, there’s nothing left of me to fight back. I’m broken! I’m sorry if someone took your things down I’ve had this phone for maybe 6 weeks, do what you need to do this app! I can’t help you , I can’t help myself. I have nothing don’t know why hacker will not leave me be!

Ask this app a question and it might just give you A ANSWER, not THE ANSWER, To your question. I looked up a simple question, “How long is the US” to which it tried to tell me from some random websites Information that the continental United States was 2800 Miles from East to West (which is correct), but also tried to tell me it was 2800 miles from North to South as well. After some searching I found out that it’s about 1700 miles, so why is this app telling me that a website, with incorrect information is right? Shouldn’t there be a algorithm or maybe a fact checker that would make sure that your actually giving people correct information? It is absolutely unacceptable that this app, a place where people get there information from everyday, is giving people the wrong information. What other questions do I have wrong answers to because of this. It would be great if when I asked this app something it didn’t tell me what might be the answer, I would rather make the mistake myself of clicking on a not so trusted website and getting wrong information there rather than this app straight up lying to me.

In short, why this company has two browsing applications is beyond me but chrome is far better than regular ole this app and way more user friendly to those exposed to safari and looking for a widget to shake up their boring old home screens.

In long, I downloaded this app for the widget which I really liked the look of on my home screen but the features of Google compared to safari our lacking. I would often find features that were on safari that weren’t on this app or didn't work as smoothly, such as the transition from incognito to regular browsing or simply going back and going forward while searching. If I went back too far this app would send me to the original search screen with no way of going back to what I was just looking at. These, amongst other things, are minor, but they add up in the long run to make the users experience horrid. However, the this app chrome app is a different story, it’s nearly identical to safari and in many ways better than it.

I know people may not have a problem with this but my this app is being annoying right now. So usually when I would search up images, it would show some other images once I click on it. Then I have the option to save and that. Now every single time I click on a picture, it sends me to the website on where it’s from. I don’t want the website, I just wanna see the picture and save it on my camera roll. Now it’s annoying how long it takes me save an image. I’m always seeing the website with its picture. I sometimes like the other photos under that image I search up. I sometimes wanna save them. Now? it takes me at least two-four minutes just to save a picture.

I just want my old this app back :(

this app was great, but the issue is that minor inconveniences such as taking this app Search off iMessage is really annoying. From there I could do a quick search or a location to send much quicker via text. Not anymore! Another thing, Google gets slower and more cluttered with each update. I do not use Safari as much due to the fact that it feels “heavier” and more cluttered, but now I’m seeing pointless news articles that are absolutely irrelevant to me as an individual. All of the data mining and theft your company does, and you can’t even match my interests? Even if you could match my interests, you wouldn’t be able to do it because you are this app. Furthermore the articles are pointless anyways because of the News app and third party apps that I can download. Slowly but surely, this app is turning into a lesser search engine like Yahoo or Bing.

Every time I say “what’s this song” into the microphone it takes me to a this app search of instructions on how to use the feature instead of actually performing the feature itself. I also can’t find the “song search” button after exploring the whole app, despite the unwarranted this app search telling me there is a button. Going to have to rate a 1 star and uninstall Google for faulty software and false advertising. Unfortunate considering this is a cool idea but it seems to have been executed very poorly. I would suggest actually putting a button there instead of lying to your users, and making it so when I say “What’s this song” it performs the actual advertised feature instead of taking me to a this app search. Seems like a simple and obvious fix. Hopefully you all can get back to me and let me know if I’m doing something wrong, if the song search button is hidden somewhere strange in Google , or if the programming is just completely inept.

There is many this app glitch that I constantly keep on seeing, like this app being SUPER slow and keeps on acting like we do not have internet, and it is Xfinity, and I say Xfinity is really good internet in my book. And this REAL annoying glitch it is what I call the no pictures glitch because when you take photos IT ALWAYS SAYS “could not save image” and you know what I have to do to fix that, DELETE this app, yeah I would say that is a real annoying glitch, but I don’t know what causes this may cause my phone is outdated, because it is a iPhone 6 or but please this app fix this glitch please, because I do not want to constantly DELETE this app, and when I mean constantly I mean every night, if you where me, you would probably feel the same as me, annoyed, the glitch is getting on my nerves and I hope it will be fixed.

I would rate Google higher but oops something went wrong, I'll try again later. When Google works like it should it becomes my go to for news based on categories I like. However, it takes a long time for a story/topic you're not interested in to be removed. If I'm not interested in sports, it shouldn't take weeks of removing every article related to sports to finally be removed. Most of the times a few articles will display and going to the next page just results in " something went wrong ". I love Google but it's the most frustrating one I have installed. Reinstallation does not fix the issue. Lastly if I do a random search I now have to open chrome private browsing because Google will "think" I'm interested in whatever I searched for, thus starting the loop cycle of trying to remove articles I'm not interested in, all from one random search.

Up north of 75 exit 306 . I have had load machine on me load cars up and down the road on 41 and a lot of guns being fired at me. This is because they believe I’m a alcoholics and a drug Addict. And I’m not , for 4 years I been subject to them bugging my house, hacking my phone,and a tracker put on my car. Haven’t made any arrest. And they helped incarcerate me at the crises center where I had my blood checked several time for alcohol and drugs. I have a copy of the report. No alcohol or drugs in my system. They bully me and turned the town against me. It has affected my mental health.. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else..

I'm used to using texted codes for 2FA. Fortunately, this app still lets me do that. The idea of depending on some password manager that contains a key that I can't access if something goes wrong doesn't appeal to me. This time, though, I decided to try a different option that this app provides, which is to open the this app App and verify my identity. So, I downloaded Google and gave it a go. What happened, though, was that the text in the screen was highly zoomed, and locked in place, making it impossible to scroll, in any direction, to wherever it was on the screen that I was supposed to do the next thing. Until that bug gets fixed, obviously, the this app App two-step login option is dead.

As for Google itself, it seems to be a decent search engine with some additional features.

They’re growing too big for their own good. They act like they have a right to shove all of their content and whatever else they decide is a good idea into your face. And no, you can’t manage what they notify you about easily. You dared to search for a sports team? Clearly you want to receive game recap scores all the time about them, with no way to turn them off! There used to be a simple way, but they updated that out. It’s no longer there. Clearly, just holding on the notifications you don’t want and turning them off that way was too convenient for users, and led to too much getting turned off that this app didn’t want. Now I’m stuck choosing between getting notifications I actually want to hear about while also getting something I literally never asked for, or no notifications at all. Such a great system, fantastic evidence that the company cares about your interests, and not theirs.

I receive notifications through many channels some I follow down their rabbit hole others I delete. I followed one this morning about iOS options and how to keep or turn them off. So, the first one about turning off phone call banners made me go look and change the way the call interrupts my work flow (if any). Then once I was done in settings I went back to … oh no, wait. this app decided I should go back to the very beginning of my opening this app! What, where the heck was I? Now you make me go back to … oh where the heck was I (before I submitted this review.) WHY CAN’T you leave me where I was in my review of, whatever link you sent me to?! If there’s one thing I hate is software that makes me have to a better short term memory than it does! Can you people at this app, quit playing games, read this and make your supposed search app more User-suppotive?

Freezes, stalls, stops for 45 seconds HELP! I enjoy this app but I might or will dump them for bing.. why? The this app app on my new iPhone and/or old iPhone is super buggy… I have uninstalled and installed and still to no avail… I am totally not happy because I use this app to look up the latest stock news outside of Yahoo Finance and CNBC.. Another thing, if I read just one tiny Kardashian story, I would get 10 more KimK stories or similar suggestions.. I dare not read about my fav reality shows and that’s all I see.. not cool or if I read a funny story from India or other countries.. it’s all India, London or Africa topics afterwards.. When I pick subjects I like on purpose in settings, about 50% will only show up along with some random stuff I didn’t sign up for …
But the biggest problem is the constant freezing and stalling for 45 seconds straight.. Help, Help, Help, Help!!

I have used Google for a while instead of safari because I just trust this app more. But recently its been hiccuping and I can't stand it. One thing is that it won't let me change my picture. I don't know why and I want it changed because its an old picture of me. I will click on the icon and I will tap the camera on the profile picture and it will say "you can't change this profile picture from this account" but the problem is I have before. Also I've had this song stuck in my head so I tried to use the "find song" feature on Google and when I tap on it the dots will show up for a few seconds, like its trying to find the song, then it will go back to the home page. It is getting really annoying and I'm about ready to quit using Google (even though I liked using it) if these problems continue.

This was a great app, and I used it frequently to search for anything I needed to know quickly. Now, with the new updates, it’s made it harder for me to look up my recent search history and redirects me to all these webpages I looked at. I don’t want to to see that, I just want to know the term I searched and then decide what pages I want to look at. I wish it would just go back to how it was originally. It seems with every update, Google just because less and less efficient. It was fine, then the updates made it worse. It’s harder to eliminate pages that I’m not interested in from the stories section. Before, I could just swipe and the page/ topic wouldn’t be recommended to me anymore. If it’s working, why does it need to be fixed?

Update:
Now, when I delete my history it deletes all my recent app history as well. It never did that before. I lost all my recent searches. I also don’t understand why it only saves some of Google ’s search history and not others. This only started happening when Google was “updated”. This update is even more terrible than I thought.

I’ve used the this app app for years, and loved it. Since the most recent update I try and avoid having to use Google now at all cost because it’s so god awful. They updated the searching on it to give “a better experience” but I’m only assuming the developers have never used Google . Because it’s 10 steps backwards in my opinion. I used to use this app images for GIFs all the time, atleast 3 times a day, and I could just easily search through images and find what I was looking for, hold the image and tap copy. But now I can’t do that, it copies the URL instead..and if you hit the share button it shares the image but also the stupid link that goes with it...like really?? Come on this app. You had it right for years, what the heck are you doing. On top of that when you search images instead of having just the images pop up it’s now the images and their links to those websites. It’s just a jumbled mess now. this app dropped the ball on this update, because good gosh it’s bad. PLEASE FIX THESE STUPID MISTAKES this app

Zero stars—- I went into their app a total of 4 days in a row. I had an issue with something hanging on my account, which was carrying over into another app. So I went into fix my profile. Well, you can’t go in without their annoying computer assistant hounding you to bundle everything you have into all this app products, & one big conglomerate- so they can accumulate & mine even more data on you to sell to other apps they don’t own yet. Went the next day, after I told it, & adjusted my settings to delete all activity from the history- cloud- which I didn’t know they kept on me. As far I know, I’d given only one company permission for that 🍎. They deleted nothing. Not one line! The bot tolls me it would affect their other apps too much. Well, I just got angrier & ... by the 4th days problem, I went in, the bot changed my longtime yahoo account to a this app account, all the settings, Created a million apps & add-ons while I shouted no & stop & tried to get out of Google . Waited on hold for live help today for 30.. them they hung up on me. Hatred!

Unfortunately, it “runs into a problem” every time I try to reload the stories, and it CONSTANTLY puts up articles from webpages and subjects I have told it to not put up. I must have told this app I don’t want to see articles from The Hill 20,000 times haha.

Update: I’m just going to keep knocking off stars until this app actually lets you not see articles that are unrelated. Like I really don’t care about some criminal rapper who snitched on other rappers. Is that even news? No. And I’ve told this app to stop showing me articles about it and when it finally loads new articles (because variety is impossible to come by on Google) it’s just smaller news outlets that I couldn’t care about reporting about a snitch rapper. For days I’ve been dealing with it.
And dear God I don’t want politics, especially left-wing politics. I’ve told it to stop talking about (2020th native) Elizabeth Warren like 30 times yesterday and it still pushes it on me.
Search function usually works, so there’s that.

I love Google and use it all the time, I have since 2011 when I first got a smart phone. Back then the images section could only produce blurry images and they weren’t good quality. Then one day someone fixed that and the images not only got significantly better but you could also easily save photos to your phone from this app with a few simple taps. Howevera few weeks ago for some reason someone said “ya know what the new update is missing? That low quality 2011 feel, can we go back to that?” And now the images take forever to load and you can no longer save images to your phone. I’m not sure if it’s due to copyright or whatever but it’s seriously a huge step backwards in my eyes and I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels this way. Google still works great when I need to search for something but it’s 2019 and your new update is from 2011. This needs to be fixed.

I have been using Google for a several months to save photos for editing and research for school through the image search. But all of a sudden when I click on a photo, it takes me to the page it is on, instead of just the photo; which is time consuming. It’s not a huge inconvenience, just rather annoying. I used to really enjoy Google, but now it’s more of a struggle to use it for my projects.
Another issue is that I thought, “Well I can’t see the image fully but I can still save it from the search screen, right?” Wrong. Now I have to go to the website the picture is on just to save it to my phone. And most of the time it’s not even good quality. I’m pretty disappointed in this move that this app has made involving their image search engine. Please fix this problem so I can continue to enjoy this app and everything it has to offer.

I suspect Google is another example of this app abandoning a product. It was a great idea that has lost all momentum. The search functionality is as good as you’d expect, but nothing superior to just opening a browser. It also serves as a convenient interface for two factor authentication to my this app account. My primary intention for installing the this app app was to leverage it’s convenient/customizable news feed functionality. Unfortunately it has fallen woefully short for the task. First this app eliminated all swiping functionality; next, useless, irrelevant, and even annoying “trending” stories began cluttering my feed; now, ‘Hide this story’ has stopped working! The same ‘hidden’ stories appear over and over and over in my feed - totally ignoring my input! Furthermore there seems to be a total lack of any AI tailoring the feed to my interests. I’m left with no better option than to abandon Google as a news feed altogether. I used to love it, now I hate it...

I like Google so much better than Safari. It is more organized and user friendly, however it does have a few issues. The most annoying thing is the this app bar at the bottom of the screen. If I need to click something at the bottom, it does not register. It just gives me the this app bar. Its incredibly frustrating to be unable to make a selection on part of the screen. The other thing is that sometimes, my pages will randomly reload and I cannot figure out why. It happens when I am away from Google for 20 minutes and when I leave Google for under a minute to respond to a text. It’s frustrating having to scroll all the way back down. Other than those two things, I think Google is great and will continue to use.

So I was searching for a MacBook and decided to use Google to do so. I opened Google , searched MacBook, clicked the 'shopping' tab and found what I thought was an amazing offer for a specific MacBook. I click the link to go to view the details of the item and it changed... DRASTICALLY! I took screenshots but want to warm people before they think they are getting the originally advertised item when in fact, they're getting a lesser and 'different than described on this app shopping app' product. I am posting this strictly based on reading about an advertised item and going through the this app advertised/provided link to purchase. I did purchase the item but will return with a 100% thorough review once I find out if it actually was a hair and switch or if the linked page simply wasn't updated to reflect the originally offered item specs (I hope the latter of the two is correct honestly but we will see.)

I’ve been using this this app app for as long as I can remember because personally, I find it less cluttery than safari. I typically don’t like having a search history on because it’s just too much to clear out once it accumulates and this app has allowed me to do that seemlesly for the longest time, but now I’ve come across the issue that I have to manually switch browse history off every single time I open Google , because the search I’ve done from one prior time, is still on there. I hope it’s just a bug and can be fixed because I don’t want to have to manually switch over every single time I use it, where as before, you did it once and you were set and good to go up until this most recent update. Thank you this app!

The only search engine I trust and has been my go to since the conception of the term. I’m really loving the personalized news feeds. As someone who intentionally avoids today’s unreliable news sources, especially from social media apps, the this app news feed has been a welcome addition to my routine. I no longer have to miss out on reading articles I may be interested in because of my choice to not login to FB. Instead I often find articles I’m interested in through my this app feed in between searching for things.
this app Search is one of my top 5 most used apps. Their reliability and commitment to being the best in my opinion has hands down beat any other apps. I’m sticking with this app for the long haul.

New this app image search is TERRIBLE! The sole reason I search for images is to see IMAGES, and only images. I do not want to see the text, or a ton of white space. I liked how the old this app search app showed images only. I purposely used Google when searching for images as chrome doesn’t display image searches the same. Chrome shows the text. But now, not only is the text required but am unable go full screen with an image (and hide the text when tapping on it or rotating my phone). This is awful for viewing images because phone screens are not that big and now it only shows up on half the screen. Please bring back the old version or at least make it an option that is easy to select on the screen (not hidden in layers of menus within settings). This is extremely frustrating and disappointing

I love using this app for anything. It helps with so many things I need to do whenever it comes to research for a school project or just looking up the news. What is starting to really bothering me is the repetitive “custom” cards that show up in my feed. The day before writing this, I was talking about Chris Stapleton with my mom since she likes his music. Less than 5 mins later I get an article about him in my feed. Coincidence or not? This has happened multiple times. I always get stuff in my feed that I don’t even like. For example, I’ll get something about Elon Musk. Do I really want to read something about him? No. I always hit “not interested”, but it always pops up. I like the feed feature. I just wish it was more customizable.

Yep, that's right, and I'm over 60 and didn't want to learn how to operate a computer. I didn't want a cell phone.
Then I kept watching my grandchildren with all these gadgets, so they taught me about iPhones and then...........
this app. It was great. It was so easy to download
this app. Whenever I needed to know something I didn't have to type anything, I just ask this app. Now there is no need to drag out any books , it saves time. Anything you need, shopping, learning, keeping journals, needing help with anything, just ask this app. this app will answer all your questions and take you where you need to go. It was so simple. Then for my birthday my husband bought me an iPad. O my, I can do anything with the help of this app!!😍

If I’m on a page and I have to either step away so my phone goes to sleep or switch screens, it resets to the homepage search bar. Not all the time, but enough that it’s incredibly irritating. I’ll have to scroll all the way back down to where I was (I love reading comments on articles, so sometimes it’s a lot of scrolling) to continue reading. This has only become a problem in the last few updates, I believe since the overall look has changed. Sometimes the page I was on will be completely gone from the history as well, saying I have no browsing history when I clearly do, as I was JUST reading something. Then I have to remember what I searched and the title of the article.

Apps are supposed to be streamlined, quick & beneficial. I might as well read on a computer. Fix this, please.
