Visited: Travel Map With Lists Reviews

I wanted to like it, but too frequently, I click on Visited and Its prompting me to re-enter everything: where I've travelled, where I live and desired destinations ... ALL OVER AGAIN!!! Soooooo frustrating! And quite frankly, it doesn't DO ALL that much!!! You choose the countries, the states, if you live in the US, some color selections and that's it!!!! That's all you have to input!!! So, Why can't it retain that little information???? And in return it displays where you've been displayed on a world map, the percentage of the world you've seen and where you rank amongst other users. So you know want to know where Visited Ranks??? A (2)!!! Visiting new destinations is supposed to be exciting! How is that reflected in Visited? What is the point if you're more frustrated using Visited than going through TSA!

I really like the detail that Visited goes into. Not only do they include the regions of the US but also regions in other countries like France, Italy, etc.

However, Visited includes places that are not even inhabited and near impossible to get to. For example, Bouvet Island, which is near Antarctica and has nothing on it. Not only that but they also include these tiny islands that are part of other countries like the islands that are off of Sweden and Finland as separate from the rest of the country.I wish Visited would filter out these places or incorporate it with the main country they belong to because there is no way I’m gonna be able to visit every tiny island.

This a an amazing app for those in love with traveling! I absolutely love the new features that add areas of individual countries as well! Thank you for making such an easy and efficient app to track ALL travel progresses!

I would love to see those regions of the country that I’ve been to shaded though. Once you select the states/regions, the individual country stays gray :/ would love some color to show/visualize that progress!

The interface of Visited is pretty easy to use, and I like that you can customize the colors you use for the map. I haven’t paid for any of the features, so I can only unlock the regions for the US and Canada.

My biggest issue is that you can only have one country/state selected as the place where you live. I’m in the military and have lived all over the world, so I would like to be able to see that, rather than having those places listed as having this app.

It would also be nice to be able to view the states within a country as a map, not just as a list.

Purchased cities upgrade. Not worth it. So many cities missing. - who created this and what map of city names were they using? Cities feature doesn’t have search you just scroll through large list for the entire country which can be confusing because you don’t know which state the city belongs to if there are duplicate states with same city name. Like I said….. so many cities missing from the list it makes this feature useless. If you can’t track your actual full progress why track at all?

I am the type of person that loves to check off boxes. And Visited has been my go to for travel goals. I found Visited during Covid 19 and although my international travel plans have been altered I have managed to check off all but one state. Visited works well.

I liked Visited until I recently opened it to find an updated terms and conditions document. It required me to agree to the T&C, which I was happy to do, but also required me to opt into receiving any number of different types of emails. I tried to leave that unchecked and it wouldnt let me proceed. So I deleted Visited and will find another. I see no reason why I need to allow promotional emails, including emails they “think I will like”. My inbox is full enough already and this is a deal breaker

Just started using Visited now that I’m starting to travel more and I really like it so far but it would be great if it had a pin function for specific cities you’ve this app (besides where you live) and maybe a few other activity options/prompts though I suppose those are things you could add to notes I think at least the pins could be nice visually
Anyways other than that five stars

Crashing and resetting progress every few minutes makes it impossible to use. Great idea, horrible execution.

Edit: after multiple updates, it seems to have been fixed. Thanks for the continued support to make Visited function.

To use Visited , you HAVE to accept promotional emails from them. It says you can opt out/not accept, but in order to use Visited at all you have to accept them. They say this is because some law in some countries require them to do this, but that’s not even true? We don’t want to subscribe to your spam emails.
Also very buggy. It set my live location to Serbia even though I set it to the US when I got Visited . I couldn’t clear it or change it at all. I never even touched Serbia.

Visited just updated and after the install I was prompted to agree with user agreement and a second option saying I agree to receive text message advertisements from the developers. It is not possible to use Visited without consenting to the developers bombarding you 24/7 with crap you don’t care to hear about. Attempting to only agree with the user agreement but not the ads brings up a prompt to remove Visited from my phone.

I am gladly doing so. I recommend everyone so the same.

Looks like a great idea, so i downloaded it, signed in with my email address, then the next question is Where Do You Live? Figured that was a logical way to start, so I type in Hamburg, it tells me no results found. Then I type Seattle, which is my other home, and again no results... apparently the where do you live section doesn‘t know of any cities in the world, which is a bit problematic since that‘s where I live. There is also no option to skip this or anything, it‘s just a broken start page.

I’ve had Visited for years. Put in all the places that I have been. Opened up to day to get a listing of how many places I’ve this app and it was no place to get the data just an overall stat. I didn’t see the individual states or countries anymore. There were just new options for inspiration which was nice, but I wanted what I was used to seeing. Then I accidentally logged out trying to find what I was looking for and it wiped out all my info and started over! 😡

In general, it’s great. I wanted something to keep track of my travels, and here is Visited for it.

Two things I would change:

1. I’d love to be able to mark more than one state/country as “live” or possibly “lived”. But that’s minor.

2. This is the significant one. I’m colorblind, so I’d love to be able to alter the color scheme to something I can differentiate. The options built in aren’t especially friendly to my poor color vision. It would be even better if we could choose each color independently of the others... each person’s color vision is different, after all.

I do like it though. It’s a fine way to keep track of everything.

Easy to use. I can glance at where I have this app and want to visit at a glance. I can keep up with the countries and states I have this app. Please consider adding U.S. cities to this app and want to visit (cities do not have to be included in the visual map, I think by the state is fine for that). Dates this app would also be nice. Thank you!

Visited is perfect for recording the countries I’ve this app and, even more importantly, helps me see the countries I still want to visit so I can plan. It’s super user friendly and I highly recommend it to those that want to keep track of where they have been and continue to see more countries!

Sometimes you forget little things or small places this app! Visited is wonderful keeps track of all places. Keeps me ticking to go to more places too!

I hadn’t been in Visited for a while, when I opened it I can see all my countries are still populated. However I can no longer see the regions. It took me a long time to populate those. It looks like they now charge for this. However if I had that functionality before they started charging then I’d expect to still keep it….

Thank you to the developer for responding so quickly. Changing rating to 4.
I can see USA regions in the about area after selecting the country.
For England though I can’t see all the counties I previously selected unless I pay.

Visited is totally useless. I simply would like to input my this app locations and save it. Visited cannot do that. You would think a simple task is already featured in Visited . Every time you close Visited and re-enter, you have to input everything all over again. So as I stated earlier, it’s totally useless. I do not want to export this simple information. Just see where I’ve been when I open it without have to input everything over and over. I just deleted this crap.

It’s a basic word map, without much detail beyond national borders. Rather than choosing the places on a map, you are prompted to select from a large list of countries and cities (which is a $2.99 bonus option) you have been to to create your pins. I was hoping for something with more detail. Pretty sure Visited just took my marketing information down.

Visited is a nice idea but technically it still needs cleanup. It's not smooth at all. I ended up deleting it the first day because I got frustrated at how scrolling and going to a previous screen were not even an option in some screens. Also it's too broad. I would like to choose cities I've been to not just counties.

After deleting and re downloading Visited multiple times over the past few weeks I keep getting the same message, to go to my settings because there is no connection to wifi or cellular. I noticed that someone had the same complaint a few weeks ago and were told that the problem was fixed by the developer.. still doesn’t work..

It serves its purpose of keeping track of where I’ve this app and where I would like to go. I would like it to be a little easier for me to see a quick list of places I’ve tagged. The workaround is to go in edit mode and scroll through to see what I’ve already highlighted. But ideally I would like to see what I’ve tagged only.

The fact that Visited crashes every time I make a selection of a country is one thing. The fact that I cannot even display my selections in map format is another! Such lazy coding. I have to constantly refresh Visited to make any sort of selection and I still cannot get to the map visualization view. I have spent over 15 mins just trying to display the places I’ve this app this year, and I cannot.

I was looking forward to using this to keep track of places I have been and would like to go. But it keeps freezing. I just go Visited and am trying to input my information but it continues to freeze. Every time it freezes I close Visited , have to relog in, and then it freezes again. Looking for a different app to use.

Visited has Puerto Rico listed as a country. It’s not a country- it’s a US territory. I thought it would just be double counted under US, but when I unchecked it my country count decreased.

I can’t get an accurate total of countries if you have territories listed as countries. I suspect this may also apply to other territories.

Visited would be good if it accurately tracked how many countries you’ve been to.
