The mobile app on my android phone is not working again, how am I supposed to check my accounts.

App says temporarily unavailable. been like that since yesterday morning!

The app won’t load my accounts and when trying online it says the security code does not match my details. I need to transfer money as I am in my overdraft

My wife called up the help centre to say the app is not working on her iPhone and has been told that because she has upgraded to ios 16 she can't use it. There is no current fix date been offered and by the looks of it this has been going on for a while. How long does it take to create a fix for this as so many customers are now inconvenienced and getting very annoyed?

My Mobile Banking app has been 'temporarily unavailable' since 07.00 yesterday morning. Any suggestions? I don't have an iphone so doubt it has anything to do with IOS16 problems that other customers are experiencing.

App crashes on start up with IOS 16, this was working on the public beta for ios 15. Have you any idea when it will be back up and running. TIA

I updated my iphone to IOS16 beta version afther that its been nearly two months since I am not being able to open my hsbc app. HSBC is really slow regarding these matters.

HSBC banking does work if you access it via the main website using Safari. Not ideal but it does work as a temporary workaround. For info - First Direct app also fails but Lloyd’s apps are OK.

Cannot access app after iOS 16 update and all other apps still work. You have been aware of this issue for sometime and still not able to resolve. Time to look for a more reputable bank, there are lots out there ?

Posted on another HSBC forum and had no response i the last 24 hrs so thought I’d try here. Not holding out for one here either. Mobile app not working since iOS 16 update. Crashes as the beginning so no login available. HEEELLPPPPPPPPP………… It’s been over a week since my phone update and all other banking apps work just fine. Think it’s time to jump ship. 🤷🏾‍♂️

You have closed my local branch and now my 6 month old phone crashes after update. Are you going to provide me with a new laptop. This is why old people queue at banks. I'm seriously pi**ed off .

No app developer has to make any app compatible with an iOS beta and they do not have to make it compatible as it’s a beta version of iOS. App developers only have to make their app compatible when iOS 16 is officially released. Apple even advice you install this on a secondary device as you can expect issues with a beta and you accepted that when you agreed to install a beta, this includes some apps not working.

It does appear HSBC tech's are way behind Apple with their app compatability. Ios 16 beta has been out a while now, even on v.4, yet the HSBC app is still force closing when attempting to open it. This is so frustrating, please HSBC speed up your compatability technicalities....

My hsbc app no longer works after my iphone update have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no success.. I rely on this app for everything so can you please tell me what is happening as there are a lot of comments online regarding this problem

App regularly crashes or can't log in. Today it says app not working which happens often. Very unreliable, and quite frustrating to use as can never trust if it will be working.

Not able to access banking with ios16

HSBC app isn’t suitable for ios16 as of yet. A temporary solution is to delete ios16 beta update through settings>general>vpn&device management. Find the ios 16 beta and remove the profile. Not an ideal fix however if you’re willing to use ios15 for now then this works.

My iPad froze while on account. Paying cheque in , did the front, took photo of back , but froze. All I have on the site is a photo of the back of cheque. How do I get back ?

App does not work and has now locked me out. Have done all the updates etc but no change. HSBC are saying go online instead, but of course you need your Digital Secure Key to do that... ("There's a hole in my bucket..."). So right now I have NO access to my everyday finances. I have been with HSBC for almost 50 years - needless to say, I am not willing to continue to tolerate this nonsense, nor the long winded 'rescue' schemes HSBC are dreaming up to 'help'. HSBC clearly do not want nor value the UK custom. I feel this will result in me moving on, and I have no doubt that millions of others will do the same too.
