I finally enjoy working out!

Personally, I got bored of doing the same work outs over and over again at the gym, and I would constantly go through phases of going to the gym and then not going for a while. A lot of this was because there was no creativity in my work outs, and I felt like I wasn’t getting anything out of it, physically or mentally. I would have really liked to get a personal trainer so I could have someone provide different work out routines for me, but I couldn’t really afford that. One of the primary things I was looking for in a work out app, was one that would give a variety of work outs similar to a personal trainer and one that wouldn’t break the bank. When I found Sworkit, I was excited to get back into working out! They offer so many different workouts with exercises I have never done before. This added the little spark back into working out that I needed, and it’s like having a personal trainer, but way cheaper. I actually feel the desire to workout each day with their workout plans and workout challenges. And one of the best parts, is that almost everything is strictly body weight exercise. No need to go to the gym or have any weights! You can do everything in the comfort of your home!

BEST workout app hands down

I am just not a “gym” person so I have tried numerous fitness apps and this is hands down my absolute favorite and the one I use exclusively these days. Every time I use SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp, I can’t help but feel like they thought of everything. They provide highly customizable workouts (from the duration of the workout, to the break interval and duration). There are monthly challenges if you don’t want to be bothered with choosing. The trainer does each exercise with you, and there’s an indicator for how much longer you have to do that one particular exercise. Prior to starting the next exercise, there’s a demo and a brief interval allowing you to get in proper position. It is one of the very few apps that allows you to play your music simultaneously without interfering with the trainer’s instructions. But of course, options options— they have pre-made workout playlists to choose from as well. I can’t even think of anything I would’ve done differently if I had designed SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp myself, and that’s saying something.

Getting back to it without killing myself

I am a fairly active adult who has a pretty active job and I work long days. For the past several years I haven’t been able to afford a gym or yoga membership and I just felt like I didn’t have the time to drive to the gym, workout then shower and go to work. Regardless, I knew I needed to work out more and I knew I needed some help/guidance to get me to my goals.
Sworkit has been an amazing tool for me so far. I’m a couple months in but I find that I can always convince myself to do a workout because you can set the amount of time you have. Even just a 15 minute workout of body weight exercises leaves my heart rate up, my forehead sweating, and later on... some sore muscles.
Regardless of if you have some equipment or not - Sworkit can work for you. I see this as a great option for travel or for someone like me who makes a little space in my living room for a quick session. The customer service is also top notch too! I had an issue in the beginning and it was quickly solved in a professional and personal way.

Absolutely love it

I’ve been using it for years! I’m really not a gym person but love to exercise, always used to play sports, never have the time for that now. So Sworkit has been such a nice way to try to keep fit. I had gained some weight and was trying to lose it in a healthy way. I’ve lost some weight but what really keeps me motivated is I’ve noticed much better muscle tone and definition. Generally better body shape. I love the new ‘plans’ that cover a whole month, it’s taught me so much about how I should be training. With adequate rest and a healthy mix of various types of exercises, HIIT, endurance, strength, Pilates ... Highly recommend to anyone trying to exercise at home!

PS. I’ve interacted with the developers multiple times due to bugs in the software, I was pretty frustrated and they were always graceful and solved the problems quickly. They’ve have continued to improve and enriched the software year on year and I too can attest to them treating their users well, I think I got 60% reduction in 2019 subscription.

Simply amazing

When I discovered Sworkit, I thought it was going to be one of those super attractive apps that was going to cost me an eye a month, for simple workouts that I wouldn’t even do. Turns out that when I downloaded it, it was completely different than what I expected. Free workouts that target different parts of my body on different aspects is just what I was looking for. Sworkit has motivated me to workout literally every single day of the week, there’s a workout for when I’m feeling energized, as there is a workout for when I’m feeling stressed and I just need to relax. One of my favorite things is that I don’t need to own a spectacular gym outfit to workout and I can do it from the comfort of my own home. I 100% recommend you Sworkit if you can’t afford a gym. No Excuses

After feeling like I always have no time, I decided to open an account since it is definitely cheaper than a brick and mortar gym. I have full premium and no more excuses. At 29 and 6 months and change to hit 30 its time to grow up. No excuses and with motivation and in times of need, my trainer Elizabeth helps to push me when I need her. Its all or nothing for a better lifestyle and a goal to lose 40 pounds.

Update: August 29, 2019

After a month of Sworkit I am proud to announce that I have lost approximately 10 pounds. I took it seriously when I wrote the review and worked out for about 8 or 9 days straight following the recommended fitness plan. Then I was burnt out because of no break. So I restarted with 3x a week and it was much better. I put in extra days if I had energy and it was worth it because I made progress. I am starting the school year with 10 lbs less, and a healthier mind a “Growth” mindset. Love Sworkit. No excuses now. 30lbs left to go.

Not very accessible for wheelchair users

I have been using SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp for years. I have always loved the variety of exercises and how easy it is to navigate and track workouts. However, I have recently become paralyzed and realized that there really aren’t workouts that are geared towards people who are paralyzed. If you go into the exercise library and look at individual exercises there are many that are already wheelchair/paralyzed friendly. I am paralyzed below the hips so using SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is a little difficult when I have to pick out each exercise from several hundred options. However, there are no pre-made workouts that are made fully accessible so you have to go through several hundred exercises to find the accessible ones. I would really love if Sworkit created workouts within SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp that have pre-made workouts in different areas (stretching, cardio, strength, etc.) where every exercise in the workout is either already accessible for someone who is paralyzed or can be easily adapted for someone who is paralyzed.

I LOVE it!!

I absolutely LOVE SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp! I’ve always hated the idea of having to get ready and drag myself out to a gym, to wait for equipment, have creepy guys staring at me, just to have to shower in public and go home. With SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp I get to work out twice a day, once in the morning during my 1 year olds nap and once at night after he’s gone to bed. I don’t have to worry about looking cute (I worked out in pj pants the other day 😆) or running late, SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is always on MY schedule. The instructions are amazing as well! I don’t have much experience with a gym or trainer, and I have no problem understanding what I am supposed to be doing just from listening to the instructions. Everything I need!

I started Sworkit as a healthcare worker who was coming home tired and feeling it in my back. I knew I had to do something to help myself be fit for my job! I also had become a new grandma so I definitely needed to keep up with my grandkids! My workouts have centered mainly around core but I have used the custom workout to create a workout that has developed my leg strength too. I added some hand weights recently and my kids just got me exercise bands for Christmas so I looked them up in your programs and found a good one to start with! You have everything I need in your app! I find the individual demos for each exercise precise and easy to learn from! Thank you for also working with me to keep going in your app... Good deal!

I have a very busy schedule and I NEVER have time to go to the gym followed by work and kids. What I really love about SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is you can make you custom time, workout and, you can talk to real trainers. It has actually helps my time and my weight and now I don’t have to be so insecure about my weight now in public or even in my own home! I also like how after a long workout my body is not aching but every other workouts (even ones doctors suggested) would hurt, but ever since I found SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp it’s almost like I’m a kid again. Love the exercise selection and time constraints

I started using sworkit a few weeks ago and It’s so good I haven’t missed a day! I really like the time feature where you can set your exercise time (great when you are working from home). The selection of exercises is so good it engages the whole body (so much more diverse compared to what I’ve been doing for years on my own). The exercise videos are high quality and easy to follow they remind me of group exercise classes.

Sworkit has a number of themes (groups of exercises) for a variety of goals: from strength training and yoga to time variable exercises like HIIT and tabata. I keep discovering new exercises every day. I should have gotten sworkit earlier for my home workouts. Highly recommended! #StayFit

Good workouts, but support is not best

My feelings about SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp are mixed.

The workouts are pretty solid, and the American College of Sports Medicine has rated it closest to its particular standards. Their on-call trainers hold verified certifications through ACSM for the most part (I think there may be a couple of NASM people there too), so it does have that going for it.

But the official Facebook group is a problem. From my experience the challenges and contests there require you to register ahead of time with no hint of what you’re getting into. I remember wanting to do the 2020 Fit Future challenge but having weight problems at the time, so I wanted to talk to my assigned trainer about whether it was even appropriate for me to consider it.

Suffice it to say that the details were not released until the day before the challenge was to start, giving me no time to formulate and ask my questions…and the live Q&A wasn’t scheduled until after the challenge started. I felt abandoned, had a breakdown, was forced to ask to space so I could be left alone, and when my assigned trainer was switched without valid explanation or notice six weeks later I decided enough was enough and left for good.

It’s a decent platform but their commitment to seeing you succeed can thus best be defined as questionable, and the moment that became clear I couldn’t go on.

Customized workouts

Hello!
Absolutely love the apps y'all put out but if there's one thing I could change it would be to be able to customize your workout a little more. I think there should be a screen that lists all the different exercises in the program and you should be able to toggle certain ones on/off. For example I feel awkward at the gym doing genie sits for abs and would rather be able to turn that off and have more options to turn on. Right now I just substitute it for say, penguin crunches or mountain climbers. If there's no way for you to add an exercise option on your end then I think in the toggle screen you should be able to add the name of an exercise you like so it comes up in rotation. Hopefully you consider this!! I rave about these apps to all of my friends but that's one thing I would definitely change.

Great app to meet goals

Hello, I have been an athlete my entire life and at 39 years old, with 4 children and a full time job, I have found it increasingly challenging to make it to the gym. After my June birthday I decided to challenge myself to do something physical everyday. I dusted off my Sworkit app, saw a July challenge and thought I’d give it a try. It has been fantastic. I don’t always have an hour to give but I can find 20 minutes. At first it was a total scheduling pain but I stuck with it. That has led to more energy, better sleep and guess what, it’s actually let to more time in the gym! I do 30 min cardio, the Sworkit of the day and I’m good. Up to 3 days a week in the gym which hasn’t happened in a long time. Thanks guys for the motivation and inspiration I needed!!!

Best workout app ever!

I love SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp because it has everything. Endurance, yoga, strength training etc. Not only that it is pretty cheap and super fun. What I really like is you can customize the length of your workout. So when I only have a limited amount of time I can do a really quick workout and be done or the opposite. It also keeps track of all the workouts you have done. You can also add any other workouts you did on the calendar so you can see how much work you did. It also has workouts especially designed for children and those are free. There are workouts for the elderly as well. Haven’t found one glitch yet so that’s also a plus. Favorite workout app ever.

Variety to stay motivated

There are focused workouts, stretches, yoga, and Pilates. With customizable options to create a routine to stay engaged and sculpt my body shape. Im so in love with SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp. I would give 5 stars, but the timing can be off. The timer for each set seems to just run without organizing the warm up, interval, and cool down into the selected time frame. If your cool down timer ends within your workout window it will just start the main intervals again. Which if you are obsessed with getting the most out of your allotted time like me, it can feel like a lost interval when it comes after the cool down. Also the yoga is set to a timer, so it doesn’t guide you through a smooth flow. Both are manageable, just something to find your own rhythm to.

Amazing!!

First off the developers are fantastic, I had SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp before they offered subscriptions for premium and since I was a long time user they gave it to me for free! But even so, I would’ve paid for premium if they didn’t just give it to me. It’s SO worth it. They’re programs are amazing and they really do help a lot. It keeps track and it’s very flexible so you can edit and change times for different work outs so you can work up to the preset times! Easy interface and just generally a fantastic workout app, definitely at my top. I don’t go to the gym and use this exclusively and I’ve had extreme success (with the help of proper eating of course). I highly HIGHLY Recommend

This fitness app...is GREAT

I’ve been using Sworkout since 2016 when there was a free version. In 2016 I lost over 20 lbs using Sworkout and watching what I ate.

Recently (2020) I’ve re-downloaded Sworkout because of the COVID-19 pandemic closing all of the gyms everywhere. The thought of home workouts can be scary for someone who only works out in a gym now. SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp, is wonderful. It’s kept me in shape during quarantine and worked on the parts of my body I’ve wanted to maintain. If you’re going to pay a membership fee for ANY workout app, THIS IS THE ONE. I highly recommend either the runners series or the home gym - build muscle series. I promise as long as you have the motivation, you WILL see results with SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp!!

Enjoying the app

Thanks for this nice app, hopefully it will continue to grow and develop. I used the free version for about half a year, but recently upgraded to the premium - one plus that attracted me to SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is the minimal talking between exercises, and the fact that there is no need to press buttons on the phone during the training session- just press start and follow the voice prompts to the end - this keeps the rhythm of the session high and without unnecessary distractions. With the premium I enjoy the option to follow "my plan" at the bottom of SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp - a personalized set of about 18 workouts in each category of fitness interests; one can follow the plan without wasting time in choosing the exercises every session.

Best at home workout app EVER!!!

I have bought and used tons of workout videos, kits, systems and apps. Each has its pros and cons, but I have found the most effective need to have four qualities: They are (1)a variety of workouts to keep you from getting bored, (2) progress tracking features to motivate you (3) ability to adjust workout lengths to accommodate changes to your schedule (4) updates, improvements, and maintenance of SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp by its creators. Sworkit is the only workout app I’ve found so far that has all four of these qualities. I used to go to the gym but due to my having to start traveling for work, that became unsustainable. With Sworkit you can do the workouts in a hotel room, living room, just about anywhere. And you don’t need ANY equipment( although I pack fitness cables just because they are a small and versatile way to add to my workout).

Until I hit the lottery and can hire my own personal trainer, Sworkit is, for me, a personal trainer in an app!

I like the app, but... (updated)

UPDATE: I’ve been working with the Sworkit development team on this issue for a few weeks, and I’ve found them to be the most responsive app people I’ve ever dealt with. My yoga complaint is still a thing, but only because they need time to actually implement a fix that works for everyone and everything to do with yoga.

You need to fix the issue with Yoga workouts writing to the activity app as “cross-training” and you need to return transition and rest break functionality to Yoga. If experienced yoga people want to just flow right into the next pose, let them turn those things off manually, don’t screw things up for people who need a little extra time to get set!! And don’t tell me to just make my pose time longer, because then my actual exercise time isn’t accurate, and I don’t like that. You “fixed” something that was never broken!!!

A little pricey, but worth it.

Sworkit is such a great app, that I’m writing my first ever app review on it. First and foremost: the cost. $30/ 3 month prescription is a relatively high cost for an app subscription, and is not a price I would normally pay. SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp, however, is worth it. You can choose any available workout and then you can customize it to whichever length you like, from five minutes to over an hour. The range of workout types, from cardio to yoga and stretching, are incredible. You can choose a workout path with sequential workouts to do over the course of a few weeks, or they can recommend you one based on your experience and fitness level. Love it!!!!

Great but I’d like to be able to lock my phone and have the app still function

I really like SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp, from getting to customize your workout and the lengths/times of workouts and breaks. BUT please I would love if you guys would make it so that you can lock your phone and still have SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp active. I like to listen to my headphones while I workout and I put my phone in a workout waistband buuut when I do any cardio or stepping movements SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp will pause itself or go to music options and then I end up not knowing how long I really did that exercise. I have very little time and I like my workouts very time efficient so it can be really frustrating. Otherwise I love everything about SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp! So if you guys could make that a feature, that’d be amazing!

The cure for aches and pains

I’m a 48 year old man and consider myself in decent shape. No gym rat but I exercise several days a week. Within the last few months I’ve been experiencing joint pain which I’ve never experienced before in my life. The doc said it comes with age and that I should consider taking up Yoga. The Sworkit app offers Yoga for beginners and it’s changing my life. I’m starting to feel myself again and am considering taking up yoga at a more advanced level. I’m fortunate enough to live in a beach town where yoga classes on the beach is huge. Doesn’t get any better then that. It’s become a new passion and I owe it all to the Sworkit App. Thanks

Yeah

Although I enjoy the variety of exercises they guide the user through. I don't think there is nearly enough time between each exercise in the routines. In my opinion 3-4 seconds is not enough time, maybe I'm just slow, but I would suggest letting the user choose how much time they want in between. Also, in my opinion the yoga workouts are terrible. They stress me out, there's no time in between the different poses, and there's little to no warning of up coming poses until they're actually happening. Also, I would prefer seeing the transitions between poses with the trainers rather than the glitchy switching between the trainers. But maybe that's just me. Yes, the apps nice as a whole, but these things are the difference between me purchasing the workouts and not doing so.

Bugs spoil an app with potential

Won’t sync with Apple Health even when all toggles are enabled. Apple health can’t read the data like it can in competing apps.

Workout series such as their June Challenge can’t be added to your workout as a complete series. Instead you have to do each day by hand. And when doing that it sometimes it will rename days to custom workouts. Other times it will add the same day even when different days are selected to be added. The days in custom workouts can’t be reordered. Even if you do the workouts from the challenge series directly instead of adding them to a custom workout plan it still renames them to custom workout so you don’t know what days you have done.

Devs, please fix this. These things are extremely annoying when you want a smooth experience and get your exercise done. Thanks.

My thoughts

SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is easy to use and free for most of the part, but the exercises are always he same. Our bodies tend to get used to the same thing, so I suspect the effect one expects is going to be less significant.

There's also another improvement SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp could use. I think it is crucial that exercises aimed for the same body part should be separated. There is no way a regular person can do Spider-Man push ups after doing push-ups and diamond push-ups. Developers should pay attention to the order because no one likes to stop the workout session because of the need of pressing a "next" button.

Last thing, what can't I log into my account? I tied my Facebook account before and now I can't reconnect it. Please send some help. Thanks.

Like a personal trainer without the cost

I love SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp! I’ve been wanting to start working out but don’t want to have to drive to the gym to do so and even if I did go to the gym, I wouldn’t know how to use the majority of the equipment. SworkitFitnessWorkoutApp is great because you can use it in the comfort of your own home, you can customize your workouts for whatever goal it is that you have, it tracts everything for you and can link to my iPhone health app, and it’s like having my own personal trainer. The people show you exactly what to do during the entire workout. And the 30sec break intervals are always appreciated!
