XProtect iPhone Issues and Solutions

Here are some helpful workarounds that should work whenever XProtect app keeps crashing or doesn't work as expected on your iPhone 14, 13,12,10,8,7,6, SE,XS,XR.

How to fix XProtect app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the XProtect app on iPhone
Update XProtect app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall XProtect iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix XProtect on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve XProtect network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, Goto "Settings" » "General" » "Reset" » "Reset Network Settings".
2. Enter your device passcode. Then confirm "Reset Network Settings".

Turn off your VPN:
1. Goto "Settings" » "General" » "VPN".

Fix XProtect not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Follow these steps to resolve intermittent XProtect app issues:

Force Stop the XProtect App
1. On android, goto "Settings" » click XProtect app. » click "Force Stop".

Update XProtect to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear XProtect App Cache and Data:
1. On your device, goto "Settings" » click "Apps" » select "XProtect app" » click "Storage" » click "Clear Data" option. This Clears both data and cache.
2. Relaunch XProtect.

Fix XProtect unable to contact server/ XProtect internet connection errors on Android:

This issue is usually caused by your network. Here is how to fix:

On android, goto "Settings" » "Apps" or "Manage Apps" tab.
Click XProtect » "Force Stop".
Next, goto "Storage" » "Clear Data".
Again, got XProtect » "Mobile Data" » "Allow Background Data Usage".
Go back to "Settings" » "Connections" » "Mobile Network" » "Network Mode".
Now, put your network on 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch XProtect on android.
