B9: Get Cash Advance Instant Reviews

This has to be the worst app designed by incompetent people. Too many issues to list them all but to highlight one big one. They list out the steps to get an advance. They conclude it with on payday, they will debit the advance from your direct deposit and you can then request another advance. If this was the case, that would be fine. Seems consistent with others who promote similar apps. HOWEVER, what they fail to mention, and yes, it’s written, hidden in some long paragraph on their terms and conditions, is that any deposit that hits the account…ANY DEPOSIT, will trigger the advance to be repaid. For example, if a merchant is crediting back an item to your card for a return, it will trigger the advance to be repaid. I have a $180 advance. At the time, I had a $50 balance in the account. I had a return credit for a return of an item after Christmas of $100 hit and it triggered a payback of my $180 advance which left me a negative balance and therefore ineligible to receive another advance due to the negative balance. I thought the whole point of direct deposit was to ensure payback of advance on payday as they state. Customer Service is the worst too. Might as well be talking to a wall. Stay away from B9. Learn from my mistake.

B9 is everything but what it says it is. No matter how much you deposit into your account they will determine your advance payment amount (it will not exceed $150). Support responds rather quickly but are not very helpful. If you do use the advance payment they will automatically take what you owe whenever funds become available n your account instead of using the date that you specified in which will cause other scheduled paymentstobelateor not get paid if you don’t have enough extra in your account to cover it. All around setup to benefit their company at your expense because they charge you for this imaginary service. This was a great idea for mobile financing if it actually worked as advertised but it is not even close. Save yourself some Time, money, and frustration and go with MoneyLion, Dave’s, or GO2Bank. All of these actually work like they should and are overall going to be a better experience. Why is it so difficult to just do what you say your going to instead of using the old bait and switch. Don’t fall into their trap of lies like I did and take my advice….STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SHADY APP!!!

I download B9 did everything it asked for, which is kinda of a lot they want you to link your direct deposits and bank accounts so they can verify what you make then you wait until they receive a direct deposit before they lend you a small amount that grows if you give them more district deposit and pay back the advance. Which I did early and twice. They increased my advance amount so very happy with that I increased my DD and paid early a third time thinking I could at least get what I was already receiving but No instead they took out my monthly fee and told me you must get paid every 14 days. Well that dosent work for me since I get paid once a month hence needing a service like this! Grrr so not only did they leave me even more behind, but when I canceled the service because obviously isn’t going to work for me on the same day they took next months service fee will not issue my 9.99 service fee back. That’s fine fine keep it but I do not recommend B9!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been using this app for about 4 or 5 months now and I’ve never ever had an issue. Always paid two days early and receive my loan the same day I pay it back. Definitely will refer my family and friends and anyone else who’s looking for that extra help before payday.

I was going to get my deposit sent to their account but when my boyfriend got his paycheck it was sent there and he recently had a number change and all of a sudden he is locked out his account. We have spoken and text numerous agents to change the number so that we can access his funds and they keep saying they are working on it…To change a number!!!! That’s absolutely ludicrous. I don’t even think they are even in the states which says a lot already. P.S they are no way by far better than chime. I have NEVER seen anything like this on ANY bank!

$100 deposited in one week received $30 advance. Next week same thing, but paid back the $30 and received $60 advance which put me at $130. Following week deposited $100 and paid back the $60 advance but only received $40 and a $40 advance.

Was told that it’s based off my usage, deposit and the way I spend my money. Last time I checked I can spend it however I want too.

Last time using B9, it’s better to use Earnin where they are consistent with what you deposit and what they give to you every week.

The description makes it sound like you can repay your advance when you get your regular paycheck, but that is not the case. Instead, they will debit any deposit you make with an advance outstanding and use it to partially credit your advance. Effectively leaving you penniless unless you can deposit enough to cover your advance and then take another one.

No other advance app works this way and they are not at all transparent on how repayment works. Go with money lion and leave these knuckleheads alone.

B9 ask for your SSN so that it can perform a soft pull of your credit and if you don’t have great credit score, they deny you an opportunity to try to use B9 . I also see that B9 targets people that are either not US citizens or people that are migrant workers without all of their necessary documentation or proof of residency. If you have a poor credit score do not bother downloading or trying B9. Choose a credit union. Credit unions will allow you to borrow sometimes up to two days early.

ZERO STARS——-I downloaded this, gave them my direct deposit information but never ended up needing a small loan so I chose to close account before another monthly fee was charged. Its nearly impossible to not get an automated message when reaching out to customer service, which is the only way to "close" the account. Secondly, they make you transfer money they took from my check to a different bank account. WEEKS later I finally get them to close it and they are STILL taking money from each pay check! DONT DO THIS

I was really starting to think I was going to have to start keeping my money under my mattress with all the issues I was having with traditional banks but along came this app. They’re def not perfect but I have not had any issues with them so far and their this app Advance is ?

‘John Jenkins’ - this app is a great place to handle your money. Transactions are processed in a quick manner; your money is secured and they have great features. Similar if not better to cashapp. Glad to have stumbled across B9 and the virtual card is a great asset to have as well.

As soon as you sign up. There’s a $5 fee. I setup direct deposit and it shows as an ACH transfer. So when I asked for an advance it doesn’t show available. My transactions don’t show. Every time I make a purchase more money is missing than what I used (so there may be a fee for every time the card is used) I reached to support and they’re no help at all.

Do yourself a favor. Get a regular bank account. If you can’t try Branch or Brigit or any other app. They won’t take your money like this place

They are scamming people stay away!!! I had my direct deposit go into 2 different accounts 1 for a hundred and then the remainder of my check over 1400 into another account both with a this app routing number but the only the hundred dollar one is showing and this app will not answer a simple question we’re is that account! I have been lied to a run around! I have hired an attorney I suggest you guys do the same if you want to get your money back! They have horrible customer service!! Pure trash!!!

I was supposed to get my direct deposit. It is not in my this app account. No phone number to call. Have sent an email showing my paycheck deposit. Have not had issues in the past with my direct deposit to my this app account. I split payments (thankfully) to my this app account and my regular bank account. The other half is in my regular bank account. What is going on???? After reading other reviews (which i should have read before) i see it happens often. Extremely dissatisfied.

With so much stuff out there on the internet, I didn’t know what to think of this app, but because I’m impulsive I went ahead and signed up. Let me just say THANK HEAVENS for this app and their this app Advance, I was a little short on money last month and they saved me.

Finally found a bank that’s not so complicated, looking forward to getting my debit card in the mail!

I deposited Apple Pay and they immediately took it towards the cash advance, not my next paycheck but a random transfer that I needed. Not only that, they took the remaining money in my account to go towards the advance. Again, not my next CHECK, but everyday banking stuff. No I have literally NO money, when I was under the impression the advance would be paid back from my next payroll direct deposit. They are thieves and scammers!

THIS COMPANY HAS SEVERAL ATM FEES AND TRANSACTIONAL FEES EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIM TO BE FEE FREE. Please beware and have more respect for your hard earned dollars by banking with ANYONE ELSE. I recommend Chime. Great customer service. Quick response time. Paycheck ALWAYS 2 DAYS EARLY. You get your check 2 hours early with this app then they take away the advance feature at their discretion even if you have an incredible history of paying back the advance on time. If you love yourself and you love your money, STAY AWAY FROM this app!

I’m pretty disappointed in B9! Great concept for anyone who is comfortable having your payroll checks deposited to their company as opposed to a bank account. They need to have more apps like Earnin - that don’t require you to alter your payroll, and let’s you take advances in between paychecks (as opposed to having to wait until you receive a payroll deposit into this app).

Just a lil’ love note to this app, they’re out here doing the lord’s work and helping people like me make ends meet when unexpected stuff comes up. Their this app Advance is a godsend, don’t @ me!
