Graphite: Photo to Drawing Reviews

Okay. I know I take pretty pictures. But, WOWZERS! What Graphite just helped Me create is phenomenal Artwork! I’m really impressed. And that’s saying something. I used to do portrait photography. But this just helped me turn a snapshot of a simple bouquet into something I would like for a poster on my wall. Thanks guys! The printing doesn’t seem that expensive either. Although, I have only just ordered not received my new artworks. I will do an update when my stuff arrives.

When it works, it's awesome. But 9 times out of 10 it locks up just a few seconds into launching Graphite . Disclosure: I've got a large photo album of 150,000+ pics on my connected iCloud photo album. But I’m rocking an iPhone 11 Pro Max with 512GB running iOS 13.2. I bought this app based on reviews. But I’m so disappointed that it fails to work for me. I have produced a few stunning photos but it’s only when I am in the mood to persist through the incessant crashes and lockups. I spent good money on unlocking Graphite for life. Wish I didn’t do that. I see the potential but the issues prevent me from recommending Graphite until the devs figure this one out. Until then, I guess I’m eating this expense.

Another fantastic “artify” app from this Developer! Same simple and efficient UI turns photos into sketch, pastel and other forms of art. For a fee (one-time purchase is the way to go) you can tweak many features to get just the style you want. Very professional-looking results here. Highly recommend all their apps!

Fun to play around with, but I think I need to realize that being an artist who worked through their own creativity and my own hands is one medium and learning how to use an app proficiently is another medium.
I like how this app gives you several immediate directions to mold your pictures. I need to educate myself about this app and get a deeper connection with the given intercession artists to enjoy it even more!

At first I loved this then it just started to go downhill. When I saw Graphite I just had to have it. It looked so cool but, when I started to edit it only let me have a few options. First I couldn’t even have most of the editing tools it offered but, when I clicked on one of the, editing options it let me so, I assumed that you didn't have to buy it but when I was done it said I had to pay money! So frustrating! Over all it’s a good app.

This is a fabulous app. I love to take a color photo and transform to its simplest form in black and white from which I can compose my painting from only dark and light values. It’s a great jumping off place for any of my artistic endeavors where I need to subtract all the excessive details which interfere with my ability to paint from a complicated source reference.

I have tried to find an app that would turn my photos into attractive line drawings and have been disappointed on numerous occasions.

Finally, this is ones that seemed to have had some real artists on staff. I love these results I get with this. And it worked on a side range of different types of photos instead of just a few.

This is by far the best photo drawing app available! The effects are so realistic and the fine tuning options make this a fantastic tool. My only feedback is I wish there was a projects feature in Graphite so I could save and come back to in progress drawings to tweak/copy

Had an issue with my M1 Mac and restoring of In App Purchases. Thanks to Julia and Paul, we were able to narrow down the issue.

I definitely would recommend Graphite and all the others for both quality, support, and most of all helpful and friendly service!

I bought the premium version of Graphite because after using the free version because I love it, and its less than &14 per year. There are so many different drawing styles to easily choose from. It’s made my photos look like they were professionally drawn. I love it!

Take any picture and become that artist you’ve always known you are, besides it’s fun to send friends and families the art you’ve created for them personally. Just in time for those Christmas package labels to stick on gifts under the tree.

So, Graphite is great; no others come close to the quality. Yes, you’ll have their watermark, but depending on the size of your photo, you can make it work. The issue I have is their customer service. I’ve reached out to them on multiple platforms regarding a pro account, and have yet to get a response.

This is one of the best apps I have ever used! At first, I didn’t know if it would be any good or not. But it certainly was! It has so many beautiful effects, and it doesn’t try to get your personal information. The only thing that bugs me are
the in-app purchases. But I like the fact that it doesn’t have any adds.👍🏻

So I just downloaded Graphite expecting it to be a trick and was definitely surprised when it worked. It can actually make your pictures look like drawings. One of the best apps I've used so far.

It does some cool things on the iPad that can be done with other programs on box machines, or if you have the time with other apps. However, I am not a fan of subscription based applications especially for photos. Charge $9.99 or $4.99 and I’d buy it. Supplement filters down the line for $.99 or $1.99 and I’d consider the purchase.

Love Graphite! Can add own personal touch to photos and make minor or major changes...a lot of fun to play with. I have already came up with some cool pencil and soft prints in just 10 minutes. I could get “lost” in Graphite 🤣!

I have been working as a graphic artist and the product here is superb. I would like to make some changes but can use a different app for that. Otherwise perfect.

After working on photos in Affinity or Procreate a run them thru this app and I always find a version I love. Since my iMac died I only work on my iPad. I’m loving it more thanks to this app. Keep innovating. Thanks.

I liked Graphite so much I bought the premium version of it. I downloaded my photos only to find them disappear from my phone. All of my edits were gone. I had to redo them and have no idea were they went. This is VERY frustrating and I had to redo many photos! PLEASE FIX!!!

I can not find the words to brag Graphite up enough! I’ve designed the best art pieces from the amazing artists that produced Graphite. Thank you I’ll be resubscribing next year!

I really like Graphite. Very easy to use and fast rendering. It also has adjustments you can do the the picture after you stylise your picture. I highly recommend it.

New option to buy one time after I use the feature of the free trial period, but very good app

I was, within seconds, able to take my own photograph and create a real expression of myself. Awesome. Fantastic. Fun and funny. Can’t wait to photograph a family member or friend then run them through this app. Superb. Dave Kansas City

IPhone 8plus saved images are better.
The ability to adjust colors and other image details while seeing how it changes the filtered look is great.

The BEST photo app I have ever used! It’s easy to handle, navigate and print. It allows you to use multiple options that are all very different.

Graphite has me in awe. I’ve used it for my best photos and it really has transformed them into beautiful works of art. Definitely download!

Sometimes we need to have our pictures be made artsy and cool and with Graphite, jazzing up a picture becomes very easy!

Love Graphite because it’s free. I will not buy apps. My iPad was very expensive and no money left for paid apps.
