HORRIBLE SCAM !! DON’T BUY !!

I originally opened SelfieArt to use the cartoon affect. You know, the one on the ad ? As soon as I open SelfieArt , it tells me to pay ? I click continue , originally guessing that I’ll continue on with SelfieArt , but it says 3 days free, then pay ? I know people make money off SelfieArt, but only 3 days free ? Come on 😩. Then , I noticed a x button on the top left . I click it , and I’m in SelfieArt finally . I go to create new , I select a pic , and click on the cartoon effect . I have to buy that too ?! What in the world ?! All the other effects are TRASH ! It blurs the photo , and has the most HORRIBLE COLORS ! I really wanted to try the cartoon effect , so I bought it . Yea , I know . Why would I buy it ? I don’t know why okay ?! So, I buy it , and I click on the effect . It says I have to buy it . I was so confused ! I bought the affect and it’s still telling me to buy this ?! Rip off ! I immediately delete SelfieArt . After about a day , I get a email ! It’s from SelfieArt 🙄. Before I open the email , I go to my bank and realize that SelfieArt took 100 DOLLARS FROM MY CREDIT CARD ! I was so upset ! I finally look at the email , and it said that since I bought the effect , I guess I bought the 3 day free effect too . It hasn’t even been the 3 days free yet and it’s already stole 100 dollars from me . I talked to my bank , and we got it all settled . Long story short , SelfieArt WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY !!! DON’T GET SelfieArt !!

Horrible don’t buy

So I wanted to see the cartoon effect they were showing and I open up SelfieArt and it says “get all features” and in big bold letters it says “CONTINUE” and I couldn’t even find the x to get out of it (until I read some of the reviews) so I was just clicking my screen over and over again until I found the x button and boy lemme tell you there’s so many things to do but guess what? 90 bucks a year for it. Are you kidding me? Like all the filters that are free are ugly as hell and all the filters that cost money are almost all of them and are not even that good. Recommendation: picsart not this crap. I looked through the reviews because I wanted to see what other people thought of it and boy were the reviews bad. The developer responses were also not like “oh we’re sorry blah blah” they were literally the same exact thing each review “this is a FREE app” like no it’s not are you kidding me these developers need to get a life and make this thing better and make it more available for people like me who don’t wanna spend money on things they dont trust. SelfieArt is crap the developers are crap everything here is just crap. Moral of the story: DONT DOWNLOAD OR BUY SelfieArt!!!!!

All they want is money

I wanted SelfieArt because I really liked the feature where you could like turn things kind of cartoony, like it shows in the add, I decided to download SelfieArt and have some fun with it. When I got into SelfieArt , they wanted me to buy a stupid full access pack, I pressed continue, assuming that it would continue me to SelfieArt . It asked me if I wanted to do a freaking free trial. I found a little x in the corner and pressed it and it took me to SelfieArt . When I clicked on the cartoon thing, I HAD TO FLIPPING BUY THAT TOO! All the other filters and stuff have crappy colors, and they make stuff blurry. I recommend that you don’t get SelfieArt. It’s a waste of data and storage on your device. Please take my word for it and stay away from SelfieArt.
I hope you found this helpful.

(p.s, I wish I could give SelfieArt 0 stars. All the developers want is money. I’m not meaning to be rude to the developers but I really think they should make it so that you don’t have to buy LITERALLY EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE WHOLE APP! Especially the cool features. I do hope this is helpful to all. Thanks for taking your time to read my review.)

DO NOT DOWNLOAD

So basically, I downloaded SelfieArt because I wanted to use the animated look (as shown in the advertisements) and when it downloads, I open it up and the first thing I see is this big message telling me to buy a subscription to SelfieArt . It took me forever to find the X, but I finally found it in the top left corner of my screen. I tapped it, and then it took me to a page in which I could edit selfies. I tapped the animated look, selected the photo I wanted to use, and then it tells me I have to PAY for over half of the filters. It took me a while, but I finally found the ones you could use for free, which are all terrible. It blurs the photo and makes everything too bright, and is seriously awful.
All in all, SelfieArt IS TERRIBLE. Right off the bat, I could tell the developers are just looking for money and don’t even care that SelfieArt is terrible. And when I read the other reviews, the responses to customer complaints were useless, and provided no help whatsoever. DO NOT DOWNLOAD SelfieArt!!!!!

Waste of space, time , and money DO NOT DOWNLOAD

I downloaded it as a joke just to see what this asking “cartoon” thing is . The first ting that pops f up is an ad to buy their product for 90 dollars a yea r or something like that (their was an X at the top so I closed it out). And tried their “art” it didn’t even do anything to the picture except make it look like garbage ( the picture was brightened and blurry). I wasn’t really surprised by that outcome just a bit upset that it was scamming people to buy their “access features” that where complete garbage. Luckily I didn’t spend any money on this but some people are so I suggest not even downloading it at all. I can tell by the other reviews I read that mostly young children are downloading this ,and most likely asking their parents for the money to pay for SelfieArt. Than deleting once they realize that it doesn’t work and their parents are stuck spending over 70 dollars on this garbage.

Why SCAM

Calling it FREE is the scam. Creating automatic renewal is just behavioral business based on the fact impulse buyers often fail to cancel even when they have the best of intentions. That's the scam. Creating redundant levels of decision making confusion, creating greater accessibility in those seeking the reward offered as FREE, that's the scam. Not disclosing costs up front and relying on small print, that's the scam. If your program is good open up and stop scamming! You'll be more respected and build a stronger business. As an interested user, want to know up front about your membership and benefits of belonging. If it's going to cost me a subscription fee there needs to be real value, not just a billable line item. I want to know up front the costs associated with the dream created by your marketing department at the behest of your PR/Ad group. Their job is to gain mental and emotional leverage so they do what it takes. Mine is to say I see what you are doing and a better way.

Grimy and cheap

It’s apps like these that’s don’t belong on the AppStore, they advertise it as if it’s free and cool. But no, up front you either use a three day trial or pay 92 dollars for a year. Not only is this an outrageous price for some small photo editor, it’s extremely grimy that the only way you can use SelfieArt is if you sign on for that subscription. I see this happening more and more frequently on SelfieArt Store and honestly, you guys are the reason that SelfieArt Store is going to trash, maybe reconsider your subscription right out the gate approach and your app might be worth something but until then you’re just as bad as the rest of these apps. There is absolutely no excuse for not having any free functionality, if it’s gonna be a paid application don’t make it free and don’t advertise it as if it is. I guarantee none of the ads you have for this awful app say “for one payment of 90 dollars you can use this for a year”

Kind of a waste

I understand that some apps want you to pay to use them and I guess that’s fair, some people make livings off of these, right? Now, IF someone is willing to pay for it then good on them, however there are also some people who either can’t afford it or just don’t want to wast money on an app like the one you think you are selling so if I am looking for a free app, and I click on your app because it says “free app”, imagine my disappointment when I found out I wasted my time on an app that is not really free at all. If you are going to charge for your app anyway, just do it up front so I can look elsewhere. Besides, from what I saw, there’s nothing I can get from your outrageously priced app that I can’t get from a free app but more power to ya. With a 4.4 rating, you must be doing something right, just not right by my standards. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Scam!

Don’t download this! They force you to pay. The first thing that happens when you open up SelfieArt is an add shows up saying to “access all features”, which cost $100 a year! This is a ridiculous price! There is absolutely no way to close the add, and there are no free features. There are apps that include some of the few features SelfieArt offers and MUCH MORE that are FREE! (PicsArt, for example.) There are also other great photo editing apps that include so many more great features, that you pay just a few dollars for, and get to keep FOREVER! SelfieArt you have to pay $100, and you don’t even get to keep it! If SelfieArt wants to make any money, it should offer more than just a few features, have a one-time purchasing option, STOP THE FALSE ADVERTISING, and make the subscription WAY CHEAPER!

Stupid.

Imagine thinking someone is gonna pay $9 a month to mess around with pictures. I can literally buy a Disney+, Crunchyroll, or Netflix subscription for less than that. You can get Adobe Photoshop (the best editor there is) for one extra measly dollar. These devs even make the mistake of locking every single feature behind a pay wall; what makes you think I’m gonna buy something when I don’t know all of its features, or even if it lives up to what’s already been “promised”? Look maybe your app is worth $4-5 a month, and maybe you really made it worth every penny, but the fact of the matter is that this was executed very poorly.

Pfffttttt, not to mention a “3 day free trail” for this? Really? 3 days? Not even a week huh?

not what i expected

so when i saw an add for SelfieArt, i was so excited to open it. but when i opened it it said i had to pay but have 3 days of free picture things lol. i didn’t expect this at all. also when i tried to ding an x to ex out, there was nothing so i had to do it. i didn’t do it because i wanted to write this. so i think that there should have been an x to x out because people aren’t gonna buy it just to make you’re picture look like a cartoon. also when i saw the add it didn’t say that you had to buy it. there could be an improvement for that and maybe you can make that the free month trial can be something for VIP. i hope you understand.

DO NOT GET!

Why would you spend money on a game when you can spend money on food and things you need? What’s the point I’m only eight years old but why do you have to pay for every single game that’s like a photo editor ? What’s the big deal you just get to get your photos what’s the big deal? Don’t get this game I tried like every single game and all them need a yearly or weekly or monthly or even daily trial! One time my dad got me a game and I deleted it and then downloaded it again and you had to pay for it all over again! So what’s the big deal? Pay money to live not to get a game to play with it what if you don’t like it? And then you wasted all that money just for that game that you don’t like!

Scam!!

So I had just downloaded this, and it asked me to pay!! But my daughter really wanted to use it so I told her I’d pay for it, figuring I could just cancel it later. So we payed for it, and I took a picture of our thanksgiving dinner in preparation (because it’s thanksgiving morning) and it told me “Al is working on this picture” something along those lines. But who is Al!? He is probably a scammer and I am just so glad I didn’t take a picture of my daughter first or else this creepy “Al” person could’ve gotten her picture, and that is the last thing I wanted. So I immediately canceled the subscription, deleted SelfieArt to never be downloaded again. Please don’t make the same mistake I did! SelfieArt is trash!!

You all made my bank account go below 10$ and then I was charged a large fee

SelfieArt doesn’t exactly tell you when you click agree that it is going to immediately charge your bank account $8.99 for even just trying to get to the “free” features, I’m sorry but where was any of that free???? I would like my $8.99 back where as I immediately unsubscribed (which it didn’t tell me I was doing in the first place) not to mention the 90$ I was charged for letting my account go under 10$. It is completely unfair that a app such as this doesn’t warn you boldly that you have to pay a payment before you use even the “free” features on SelfieArt .

Meh

You NEED to read this before you actually get SelfieArt ! I am writing this to inform any person who wants to get SelfieArt and doesn’t want to pay any money. There are a lot of filters that are only premium. Even the SAVE button is premium. They NEED to fix that. If you press the other button in the opposite corner it will save but if you want to work on that particular selfie again, than it will have two options: Cancel and Discard Changes.
So then you cannot save what you did. Premium basically took over SelfieArt.
