Cartoon Photo - Sketch Guru Reviews

Does a nice job with making photos look like sketches or paintings. Not a huge number of filters, but might be fine for a given purpose.

(There are other apps that do better with “painting” filters, but SketchGuru seems to have the best “pencil” filters, especially for MMO screenshots. I won’t say it’s the only app you need, but it’s a very worthy member of the photo-filter arsenal.)

It’s a good app if you need a picture done quick you basically just hit what you want it to look like from a limited selection and crop the photo then hit done that’s it but a little disappointed because this was not like how I thought it sounded like

It used To work flawlessly and was one of my favorite apps.
Now, not sure if it’s the new iOS version or the new version of sketch guru, but I cannot load pictures into CartoonPhoto from my photo library just shows a blank screen even though I selected something. Can’t go back have to reboot try again same result. Would love some help to make it work again really could use it thanks

This was a favorite for years, but I’m not seeing the point for users in the change to a subscription model. No new filters or significant features or even a decent resolution size since the added cost. I can make screenshots with larger dimensions than the export. I canceled the subscription within a few minutes. Too bad, because I still like some of the filters.

I had this all free until today. I would have given 5 stars except for having to pay for CartoonPhoto that was all free.

I owned the $2.99 app and access to all Effects. . . Now, after the shameless Upgrade. . . I only have access to two (2) filters. . . Disabling my previous purchase.
Instead if creating a new App and charging. . . They've messed with what i’ve already paid for. . . Who knows now what would do with a subscription service. . . Cannot recommend this Developer.

This used to be at least a 4-star app. However, the orientation of the image preview screen pushes a significant portion of uploaded photos beyond the screen and the user interface is drastically diminished, as you cannot edit the entire photo. I have tinkered, and went as far as to uninstall/reinstall but the problem persists.

Exactly what i was looking for. Adds complexity to boring pictures. I have found that what works for one pic doesn’t necessarily work for another so it’s like starting a project from scratch each time I use it. Great fun!

I really liked an earlier version of CartoonPhoto. The current app does not allow one to pull from your current local library. It requires one to pull from

1. Albums - for me it has a couple thousand albums listed. Or

2. wants me to connect CartoonPhoto to a FB, Flickr ~ account. I choice only a two apps to connect to social media.

This is the first app like this which does not allow me an option to pull from a local library like ”Moments”.

I really liked an earlier version of CartoonPhoto. I will keep this unusable ”brick” installed, cross my fingers, and hope an update will add back the function to pull a photo from the current photo library, like Moments.

CartoonPhoto is just about average quality. Sometimes the filters get the point, many more times can’t. With the latest update, they decide to narrow the choices we can use while telling us we have to pay subscription for the rest of the filter. I won’t use it anymore.

I have used CartoonPhoto with no problems for years. Suddenly all I see is a white screen after selecting a photo or a black screen if I choose camera. I deleted CartoonPhoto (losing all my previous data) and reinstalled. It’s still doing the same thing. Sadly, I will need to find a different app to use.

It's fast, whether you take a photo or use one from your gallery. This is the best I've seen to create sketches or paintings of photos. There's even one that looks like crayon coloring. 👍🏼👍🏼

It is a great program which gives you the opportunity to take your image and modify it easily! RN

Many functions and filters nor require purchase: unfortunate but solid

Need to fix the framing why is the picture offset to the right needs fixing please

I used to have CartoonPhoto with all effects for free, but when I update, it asked me to purchase these free effects!!
I hate it, when I update for bug fix and ends to buy CartoonPhoto , I deleted your app.
Any way, I found a better app called “pencil sketch” with all effects and much more features.

It will only access 34 picture out of 1,500 in my gallery. I was using this for work and now downloaded another app because it can actually get my picture and yes it has full permissions in the settings. It’s sad because this is a good app for what I do but it fails to let me actually use it. Poor developing

I was looking for something to convert photos to a hand sketch drawing and this worked great. Simple to use and easy save features.
