None of the filters are free…
They try to force you to subscribe, and if you do subscribe, the filters aren’t even worth it. There are PLENTY of FREE apps that do the same as Outline. In fact, many do better. Don’t waste your money on Outline. Trust me, the free apps are better.

Outline has no cancellation button under your Apple ID subscription options, so they will endlessly charge you $7.41 PER WEEK. DO NOT TRY, or you’ll be fighting charges like me with no way to cancel this. Totally illegal!

Keeps crashing and closing with my first attempt to explore Outline ’s options and convert my photo into a line drawing. Week free subscription will not last a week. Ios is updated. Super disappointed especially after reading other reviews

A basic sketching application but the one-time buying price is overly expensive. I would definitely pay $10 for one time purchase option (Not the $199 or $129) 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I really don’t know how they make this kind of price model. Makes no sense at all.

Outline is completely unusable. I can’t even look at the sample photo I took because it was $100 a year and I even the word free in this came back of my search.

There isn’t a single pencil style you can try without signing up for either the free trial or subscription.

So in order to see if the quality is even remotely as good as they claim, you need to jump through a few hoops first. As long as you’re ok with their “cancel” anytime feature then go ahead and take a chance - rather than try at least one effect first.

Hmmmmm, disappointing to say the least. Especially in this highly competitive app environment.

I got Outline because my son wanted a coloring page so I found Outline! Never in a million years did I think you would have to pay for it. Now it says in the beginning get premium but I thought every app said that so I looked for a skip button after 10 minutes of closing Outline and trying to avoid that page. I finely got in. And now I know why it kept bringing me to that page and that’s because if you don’t pay 129$ then there is no point of using Outline.

I THINK IT IS OUTRAGEOUS THAT YOU THINK SOMEONE WOULD PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY BUT SADLY FOR YOU I AM A LITTLE SMARTER THEN YOU THINK I WOULD BE I HAVE SOMETHING YOU CALL COMMON SENCE AND EVERYBODY ELSE WHO I SHARE THIS TRAIT WITH WOULD ALSO THINK THAT KIND OF PRICE IS ABSURD SO I WILL LEAVE YOU WITH THIS

None of the sketch/drawing filters are available unless you pay for the subscription. Not even one. You can use the standard photo adjustment editing features, but you can also just use those same tools on the photo app that comes with your phone.

Omg what a ripoff! I forgot to cancel and they charged me for NOT a month but an ENTIRE YEAR! I know I didn’t choose a year subscription. What a rip off because I can’t cancel it now.

Outline does very little for the money charged I tried to cancel after 7 day trial and was charged anyway.

Don’t waste your time. If you save something it puts an annoying watermark on the copy making it USELESS

YOU DOWNLOAD AND YOU CANT GO ON WITHOUT COMMITTING TO PAY. THERE IS NO REAL FREE TRIAL. Don’t even go along and support this trend amongst apps offerers. Boycott and come back once they give you a true free trial. In the meantime there are other apps out there.

I just installed Outline, was able to upload a couple of photos but now every photo I try to add just shuts Outline down. Then I have to start over trying to find the photo etc. Pretty frustrating.

I will keep Outline but it doesn’t look that good with most of my photos it’s like you have to have a certain photo to look good with it

Of all the photo-to-drawing apps that I tried this one has the most realistic drawing effect, specially when it comes to shading, it emulates the cross-hatching drawing technique beautifully. The other apps I tried give the drawing a very ugly digital look.

The only drawback is that it claims to output the drawing in 4K, but it's not really 4k, it's 2160x2880 px. The original photo that I used was really 4K (3024x4032) as it was taken with my iPhone 8, but Outline reduced the photo's resolution when converting to drawing.

It would be great if it could really output in 4K (or greater) so that I can make large prints of the drawings!

It’s good but I thought I would drawl on my own but it turns out it is a fake drawing app thing so I did not erase it because I can prank people so that’s why I kept it so for a fake drawing app it is good so ya get Outline if you want to prank people

I had a problem with Outline (it wouldn’t load and the screen went black) I contacted the developer who responded very quickly. In addition, he updated Outline to include more options.
This is a great app for artists who want to convert their photos to line drawings and who want to get ideas for using various media.

Only trying the free part of Outline , I was unlocked to only a percentage of the options Outline can provide. I will probably buy this for a month and have fun. It’s worth it.

Outline charged me 3 times for one purchase. Then when I attempted to reach them on my “account”. Everything is in Chinese. I couldn’t reach anyone. It doesn’t even show up on my active subscriptions list even though it is. Beyond frustrated.

Just the add looks extremely promising and cool. I would love to try each future to it limits but I have so many subscription that are fun but not too exciting. Some AI apps could not generate exactly what I intend to depicts. Maybe this apps is worth a try

I too love Outline. However, when I saved the image to my photos a watermark appears. For that reason I will probably discontinue Outline .

Just took a photo of my house and I needed a sketch to draw on for my HOA. Now I can add the trees I want to use in front of my house and this worked wonderfully! I think I will use Outline often. So far so good!
