If you don’t upgrade to Pro for $6.99, SmartCast keeps displaying an upgrade screen after about every 6th photo viewed asking you to upgrade. Ridiculous!!!
Basically, it’s random money because that is the only way SmartCast will work smoothly is if you upgrade.

All I get when trying to display iPad or iPhone photos is “failed to upload - please try again.” No photos have displayed at all.

Apple iPhones will only mirror static media, in other words, recorded programs or photos already present on your phones. It WILL NOT work for streaming movies, or networks requiring subscription such as MotorTrend. My iPhone 8+ will only “cast” to Apple TV. Pitiful.

I cast on Roku and Android all the time. It’s seamless and intuitive. I tried doing this at my parents house and finally gave up, spending money on a usb-c > hdmi converter rather than mess around with it. I got a picture precisely twice and I couldn’t scroll to the next picture.
Don’t bother.

Smart Cast ruined my weekend trying to get rid of it, SmartCast blocked my TV not even letting me to reset my TV to standard manufactory options it is like worse virus ever. waiting for business hours to get helps from Vizio customer service support, I am really mad
