Clean, minimalistic, and functional!

Just wow. I don't usually write app reviews but Card Diary has left me speechless. The free version does everything you'd want including full iCloud sync and certain customizations all with a clean, beautiful, and minimal interface. I did, however, pay full price to support the developers and get a little more customization in my entries. I'm very excited to see the potential of what CardDiary with become, and for other functionality in the works such as Location tagging and font style!

I do wish there were some additional functionality that I hope is in progress! I'd love to see:

1. Web app so I can write longer texts.
2. Swipe on entry to edit text and pics.
3. Tags to organize posts.
4. Dropbox/Google Drive sync.
5. Better search bar. I searched "Tes", but my entry was "Test" and it didn't show up.
6. Different text size in the same entry. Right now, everything is the same size.

Please keep developing CardDiary! I'd love to support in other ways if possible :)

Underrated??

I think CardDiary may be one of the most underrated diary apps out there.

- It’s very simple and easy to use.
- Has quality features with out being chunky or over packed.
- Tags
- Locations
- Good UI
- Decently Good organization.
- Local storage using your iCloud
- It’s not trying to get me to use it in a certain way. It’s a fairly open platform which makes it useful in a lot of different contexts. It can be what you want it to be.
- It also seems as though the developer really cares about this product.

A note to the developer- Stay true to the vision of what you are creating and don’t get too overwhelmed with feature chasing. If you become like everyone else then you might get lost in the shuffle of everyone else. You have a really great product. Focus on refining the elements you already have such as pictures (resizing, reloading, options for display of pics...etc...). Give yourself a pat on the back. Really enjoying your product.

This app is CLEAN!

So like many people, I’ve tried a lot of journaling apps. There is the one really big name one with tons of reviews, and for some people who are veterans to journaling, I guess it probably works but it’s too cluttered and messy for me.

CardDiary though? It’s super clean and easy to use. I LOVE the idea that each day gets a “card” and that is what you are writing on! It’s not limited to like a post it size or anything, it’s just the way CardDiary displays it. It’s very nice and easy to use.

I might actually be able to make my journaling habit stick this time, and I’m excited and thankful for that!

Perfection!

I have to say that this journaling app is everything that you really need in a journaling app. It comes at a very fair price. I love how you can upload pictures as a cover to my entries, a nice little touch. Also the ability to make your own tags, to easily find a certain entries can be quite helpful. I’m totally happy to have the lifetime membership. Even though I can’t think of anything that needs to improve, I do hope they continue to progress and make CardDiary even better than it already is.

Love this app

I love CardDiary so much. I downloaded almost every journal app there is and this one was by far the best one for me with it being super simple and aesthetically pleasing. My boyfriend has a brain injury so keeping it simple and user friendly to use is important. We use it as a memory aid for him and it’s great! Currently, we try to add January entries and when we go to his profile to see “all entries” it shows up but when we click January the December entries are there and none of the January ones.. Please fix or keep us posted as to when it’ll be fixed!

Simple,Beautiful and Lasting

The interface is simple and beautiful. It’s a low commitment way to keep memories that you will cherish later on. They give many ways to backup your entries so they don’t get lost. The lifetime membership price is affordable and reasonable. It just good all around. My one suggestion would be to add a feature where two people on separate devices can add to the same diary. I would love to be able to record my days with my partner so we can record memories for our daughter. Otherwise, it’s just a well made app.

Love

I love CardDiary. I love the look of it. I am a photographer and I love putting pictures with my journal. Thanks so much. The only thing that I wish could change is that I would like to be able to do entries before 2001. My first journal entry that I have is from 1995. I would like to transfer all my old journals in here. So if you were able to change that it’d definitely be 5 stars. Also I saw someone say that a website would be great also. I LOVE that idea. I’ve also searched on your website to see if I could work on my journal and was bummed to find out I couldn’t.

Great, but a bug is currently messing it up

CardDiary is a really great app for tracking your memories and photos over a long period of time. However, this glitch that I just found is kind of annoying. For the January 2020 section, I expected it to be empty of diaries, like all the other months have been. But when I opened it it just showed all my December 2019 diaries. These diaries show in both places, and I already tried restarting my phone to no effect. Even though I can still write new diaries for January 2020, they don’t show up. Instead, you just see the ones from last month. Please fix it!

Absolutely in Love

I’ve always have been too afraid to use a diary let alone an app to store all of my emotions and activities of my day. After looking though app after app, looking for what matches my needs I found CardDiary. For once, I am I putting my emotions on paper (or rather electronic paper?). I love CardDiary! It’s minimalistic, easy to use, and just very appealing. I’m even thinking about updating it to the pro version because it is just that good. So far, I am in love with it and I don’t think I will be changing to another app anytime soon.

I have questions.

The drinks, what do they do? To go pro, you choose one of them right? Coffee or beer? Does it matter? Is it $3.99 per pro option or something? And will the upcoming or future pro features need to be bought? I do like CardDiary . I use it everyday so far. CardDiary icon and UI is really nice. You should make the image of journals with multiple pictures be like a slideshow. Like they change when you look at it each time or something. That is all the possible improvements so far. It is a super good app.

Favorite Journal App!!

I’ve been looking for once for forever and nothing comes close to this one. I love the minimalistic style and the simplicity of everything. I can add photos and videos, as well as change fonts and the color of them.

I especially love how worry-free CardDiary is when it comes to backing up and saving your entries to iCloud. It also has the choice to download your files to save to any device.

I really recommend CardDiary!

Questionable Options

I could’ve sworn ‘sepia’ was a background default color choice - am I imaging this or was it removed? Could it be implemented, as it’s *so* much easier on the eyes than just a pure white or absolutely black screen; middle ground never hurt anybody!

Also, question, why is the option for a “reminder” limited to a singe one-time reminder? I understand the theory of this diary process- I made simple and breezy by utilizing only the one card per day, I love that! But I’d love to start my card and then conclude it with an end/finish. This is where a multiple reminder option would be immensely ultrpractical!
{or is that taking ‘simple’ a part in to complicated?}

Great app, sad I had to pay to get in on all the nice features but I am sure glad I did decide to make that choice. I’m still new to CardDiary so am continuously learning more & more and that end result has been my enjoying it even more & more - so great job and Thank You for providing a simple journaling app option!

So Simple and Clean!

Just came across CardDiary yesterday and I immediately fell in love with the clean and simple interface and look. It actually makes me want to keep a diary! I immediately signed up for a subscription and hope to see more upcoming improvements :) Here are what I would love to see:

1. I know there is a pdf export option, but is there a way to export at as a word document format rather than just a txt file so that I can continue to add onto the word document later on if I think something needs to be added?

2. More text formatting options

3. Insert additional photos into the text area instead of having them all at the top

With these improvements, it’ll be the diary app of my dreams! Thanks for the hard work!

I am having trouble getting entries to stay!

My stars would be higher, I love CardDiary and I intend to get the premium. I am having trouble getting my entries to stay. I type them and add pics and then some times they disappear. I flip the card and the date is not highlighted and the entry is gone. If I go thru the profile page some times I can find it and others not.

Example. I wanted to add pictures to my niece birthday entry later but it was gone!
I am getting fustrated😔
Love the simpleness and the way the months can have there own pics.

Lovely Design

I was looking for an app to keep track of completed tasks (as opposed to a to-do list) and downloaded Card Diary as one of the possible options. While I ended up with a different app that more efficiently filled that niche, I didn’t delete Card Diary from my phone—the design is so simple and lovely and such a pleasure to use, I’ve been adding thoughts, quotes, or photos to it almost daily just for the enjoyment of using it. It’s perfect for a kind of daily scrapbook.

Best Writing App!

I have tried a variety of writing apps over the past year and this is the only one that I use consistently. I love how easy it is to jot down some quick notes or longer entries as necessary. I like how I can view all my notes in a month or via a calendar. The simplistic design is lovely. The amount of customization I have is perfect; helps me not get distracted and focus on writing.

No Bullet Point or Undo Feature

I’ve been using CardDiary since January, and decided to go ahead and purchase the premium version. Unless I just overlooked it, there is no way to add bullet points, or to undo an action. With all of text editing features that CardDiary offers, I truly can’t believe it doesn’t offer these two basic features.

Otherwise, I have enjoyed CardDiary , it has a very clean user interface, and I like the card layout because you can see multiple entries at once.

No better journal so far

Hi, I’ve been using CardDiary for quite a while now and it’s absolutely fantastic in almost every way. It effortlessly allows for me to keep a journal of all my thoughts and emotions throughout the day in a nice aesthetic way. The only feature I would change is to have more customizable PDF layout and to display the pictures differently. I really enjoy printing out my past journals and this would be super welcome.

Beautifully Simple

CardDiary makes me feel happy to journal. I’ve tried many journaling apps and none of them seemed to work for me and I ended up deleting them right away. This is the first journal app that has me journaling multiple days in a row. It’s just so visually pleasing to look at and easy to use. I even bought the lifetime premium because it’s more than worth it.

Great app!

I’ve been using this and I got the premium version for the extra stuff. CardDiary is so clean and nice! I only have a couple questions, is there no limit to how many entries I can have total? I want to use this for a long time and keep my old entries too! Also when I want to add a photo to a specific month, some photos don’t show up? Is it a bug? Only some photos from my camera roll show up...
