My Daily Diary Reviews

There is no search choice. If I want to look back on a story by using keywords and/or phrases to find a particular item or story, there is no way to do so. That’s kind of the point of having an electronic diary: to be able to recall an event, story, joke, etc. whenever you want.

Also, I just want to see a list of the dates, with partial entries listed from top to bottom of screen. That format makes a whole lot of sense. The diary I’ve been using since 2013 is no longer in MyDailyDiary Store, but I sure wish it was!!! It’s perfect. No ads and it was free. I bought the 11 pro iPhone in November 2019, upgrading from the 6s plus from 2015 and I can’t get it on my new phone. I’m super bummed. I have to carry both phones with me.

I wanted MyDailyDiary because I didn’t feel comfortable writing my feelings on paper. With MyDailyDiary I though I wouldn’t have to because they were safe and secure, but the moment I opened up MyDailyDiary , it takes me to a subscription page. I thought I could just exit out and continue with some free version. There was no option for that. I’m only 11 years old and with things going on like school and drama, I’m gonna want somewhere we’re I can write down my private thoughts. I looked at other apps and this one seemed suitable but no. It cost money and it made me so sad because this looks like such a good app. Please make it free or some of it free. I’m not trying to be rude I promise, but things like apps that cost money for the entire thing are just annoying. I hope you consider my suggestion for making some of it free.

What I love about this journal are the daily questions you can configure and set up. Being able to set up your own questions gives you a guided journal but with flexibility since you have the ability to create your own questions. Or you can skip that part and go straight to journaling.

A feature I would like to see is the ability to change the order of the guided questions.

I would also like to share things (such as a paragraph I'm reading in Kindle) straight to the journal. I am able to do that in another journal app I have. With this journal app you only have the ability to copy and paste which would be fine except you lose whatever hyperlink you had if you only have the ability to copy.

I hope future releases will incorporate some of these changes.

I love MyDailyDiary! Best one I’ve found for what I need, and the price isn’t unreasonable! I would absolutely like more color options but my main concern and what I’d love, love, love, to see and would make it 5 stars, I need to be able to SEARCH by key words. Please if you could I’d that I would buy the for life version as of now I’ve bought the yearly option. Would definitely recommend though.

This is a great app don’t get me wrong I love it and use it like every day. But here is the thing, I am struggling to figure out how to back it up and I am super worried that I am going to break my phone and all my diary from the last year will be gone. So I have a couple of suggestions,
1. Have a feature where you can email the journal to yourself, that way if MyDailyDiary crashes or your phone breaks, your diary is still safe on your email.
2. Share your dairy entries with other people.
3 please fix this bug where I can’t back the diary up.
4 maybe have a new quote on the screen when you open it up, that one is getting rather annoying.
5 have a spot where you can add voice recordings.

Truly a pleasure to use MyDailyDiary. I was skeptical initially when I downloaded MyDailyDiary . Once I tried an entry I just loved it the very first time !!!!

Question/Suggestion: I could not find a place to configure the storage. Is there a way to link to my Dropbox or Google drive account?

I right in this like everyday and it works so well u don’t have to put a date in it does it for u and u can get all ur feelings out and it has a lock so only u can get In and it’s very good u can put an emoji for ur mood and voice type and put memory’s in for the day it’s very fun and useful

I love MyDailyDiary it has helped me feel so much better about myself and I let go any of my hard feelings with MyDailyDiary it really helps me with my self care and love for myself I am very grateful that this was created love it so much and hope for people to keep making things like this

I’ve been wondering if there could be a journal/wellness/mood tracking app that could incorporate a page for free drawing as well as everything else they offer and honestly, your app would be perfect for that as the icons give off this fun and creative vibe... drawing is like a therapy to some even if it’s not too technical. I know you might have restrictions on what you can add so let me know if this idea sounds promising.

I think this is a great diary it asks you what your feeling! It also asks you what your grateful for and I don’t really think about that do that’s helpful and it has a password or you could open it with face or Touch ID! Of course it actually has the diary part. That’s all I have to say about MyDailyDiary

I love this so much but i was wondering if you can make it to where we can have our own book cover. I know it sounds weird but its nice to have our own book style to go along with this awesome app! Keep up the great work!

Granted, it’s only been one day, but MyDailyDiary seems to have EXACTLY what I wanted in an online journal: a daily question, a mood tracker, a nice large place for writing about your day, and the ability to had one or more pictures to your day. I don’t know if I could ask for much more!

I am serving an AmeriCorps and we have to keep a daily log of our work; MyDailyDiary really helps!
I would like to copy & paste our record sheet into each page a month at a time, rather than a day at a time. How do I do that?

Would like to be able to read my entries in portrait or landscape on my iPad. Currently it appears I can only read in portrait. When I go to make an entry it does allow landscape. Sometimes it’s easier for me to read my notes in landscape than portrait. Other than that so far I’m happy with MyDailyDiary .

It’s a great app they let you personalize it for free and you can make your own questions for yours and it’s really nice but there is one problem I don’t know if it’s mine iPad or internet or MyDailyDiary but it shouts down when I try and change the font not hating MyDailyDiary just a bug that I’m not sure who’s fault it is.

I love MyDailyDiary I think the only thing I’d like to change would be the ability to choose my own colors, or use images or patterns but transparent that I can upload. Their colors themes are nice but none of them are *perfect*. Otherwise it’s worth the money for MyDailyDiary, costs as much as a nice physical diary but with some nice things like questions and pictures that I like. Simple and easy to use.

I paid for MyDailyDiary because its simple yet well put together. Unfortunately I paid for MyDailyDiary before realizing that it will not allow me landscape mode which it essential when I am using my blue tooth keyboard. I find it easier performing a brain dump using the keyboard then pecking at a touch screen so its sort of disappointing since everything else I love about MyDailyDiary .
If you could manage a landscape mode I will update to 5 stars for sure.

This is by far the best most intuitive journal program I've used. The problem is that i am compelled to use just my iPad since it won't sync with my phone. (and visa verse) big drawback since I'd like to enter things during the day on phone but have to wait until I get home to enter things on my iPad. Btw Using iPad since it is far easier to type long entries

Please release new version with sync

I thought journaling during the Covid19 pandemic would be helpful! I am completely in love with MyDailyDiary. It has a great calendar, I can add my thoughts for the day, I can upload pictures each day and it lets me change the appearance of the font and color. I posted this on my Facebook wall and have had many friends download as well now. Thank you for a wonderful way to document this unprecedented time in our lives.

Usually I don’t take the time to write reviews because either I like MyDailyDiary or I don’t. I have tried several other diary apps and while they may have been good they were just not what I was looking for. MyDailyDiary seems to be a really good fit for me. It’s not too complicated and it does what I need it to do.

MyDailyDiary allows specific questions to be added and edited which are asked each time I journal, like ‘what are you grateful for?’ (default)
I like being able to ‘lay something to rest’ because writing makes a problem seem petty, though it seemed important at the time.
Whatever the tough issues faced, facing them regularly does help me.
I believe it’s a complete app but has a lot of room to expand if the developer stays active.
That said, I like what MyDailyDiary is and am happy to use it daily.

I absolutely love this journal app. I love how I can choose an emoji to show how I’m feeling at the moment. Also love how I am able to add pictures as memories of certain times or days. I just love it! I own many journals and pens but sometimes it’s inconvenient to carry around a journal and pen around just in case new ideas, thoughts, or feelings pop up. I definitely support a lock being added, that’s something I wish my paper journals had.
