my day ones 💕

Buyers and developer please read !!

I’ve had DiaryWithPassword for years on several different iPhone devices :) I’ve always had the free version and enjoyed it, i then found out some fonts and dark mode cost extra , and exporting. These were all such useful features though not necessary to me at the time, I planned to buy it one day anyway since DiaryWithPassword has helped me through so much. I recently wanted dark mode and forgot it cost money , I decided to get it today :) it’s a little harder to navigate since I’m so used to the free version, I also noticed it increased to 7$ vs 1$ (which as you guys should since 1$ is really low with more and more users and having to run an app) I think 10$ should be the max , since anything higher I think would be too much for just a note taking app/ diary . anyway tysm for the service and I hope to see more updates like adding pictures and videos!! I would absolutely love that :) since for ex if I go out to eat and I want to write about it it’s nice to be able to add the picture while I’m journaling. just a thought 💕

Most Soothing Digital Journal

I’ve tried many different journaling apps since I tend to journal quite extensively. DiaryWithPassword is great because it’s a blank piece of paper, which is my favorite kind of journaling, where you can go in DiaryWithPassword , write down anything you might be feeling quickly and simply and be done. The blank slate that DiaryWithPassword gives my digital journaling is super refreshing and therapeutic. Also it’s the closest thing to writing in a real physical journal that I’ve found, which really works for me. It just feels so soothing. Other apps like to do the, pick a mood, etc etc. and I just don’t find that useful, I just want to get to writing out my feelings as soon as I’m ready to, DiaryWithPassword does that for me. Also the fact that there’s no limit to how much you can write is a really nice feature. I absolutely hate subscription based apps and would much rather pay a flat fee, so that’s a bonus for me too. Overall very nice digital journal option for those who like simple, free writing type journals.

Way better than I expected

I typically don’t write reviews for apps on the iOS app store unless I really hate DiaryWithPassword , or really like it. But being how DiaryWithPassword is mostly free excpet for the few paid for options you can get, it’s fantastic and should be rewarded because even though you don’t pay for the “pro” version, you still don’t have to deal with ads, which was a huge surprise for me seeing how most apps these days that have the most basic of functions require you to pay after just a few uses or have a barrade of ads that are expected in a free app. Instead, they allow you to use DiaryWithPassword free of ads and if you want the pro features, then you pay for them. Thank you for creating an app like this without all the ads completely running the primary use of it, otherwise I wouldn’t be using it. You developers are what most app developers should strive for.

Not bad. A little basic, though.

I was scouring DiaryWithPassword Store looking for a journal that was an actual journal and DIDN’T require a monthly subscription to use (which is RIDICULOUS). Finally found this one and it’s pretty nice. I like that I can backup to iCloud so I can use it across all of my devices. Had to pay a flat fee of $5 to get that feature, as well as unlocking extra fonts, but that’s much better than a subscription fee.

I do think DiaryWithPassword is a little TOO basic, though. It would be nice to have some basic formatting, like the ability to use italics and such. Changing font color would be nice, too, to make the journal less ... boring to look at. Or the ability to use Apple Pencil to sketch in the entries? It would also be nice if we could change the fonts for each entry we make, so they don’t all look the same.

Aside from that, it’s a decent enough journal for someone looking to not pay ridiculous monthly or yearly fees just to use. If you want something fancier though you might end up having to go with a more expensive option, unless the developers are willing to add a few more extra features.

Amazing

This software is incredible. I used to use my phone's notes app to write down and express how I felt. When something went wrong or I did something wrong, I'd write how I felt about the situation or problem in my notes app, but it was never tidy or pretty, and I was annoyed by it. So I went to DiaryWithPassword Store and searched for diary, and there were a lot of them. I downloaded a lot of them, but they were all either too expensive or too childish. I was overjoyed when I discovered this one; you don't have to pay anything, it's well-organized, and you can lock it! That was my primary concern; if you're asking why I didn't write down my feelings in a book, it's because I didn't want anyone to find it and read it, or because the book would run out of pages for me to write in. You have an endless amount of space with this. It's simply incredible.

love

i read some of the reviews before downloading. They convinced me to download and I am very glad I did. Some days I have enough energy to type but not enough to physically write. Or I just want to lay in bed and it’s quite uncomfortable to write laying down.
DiaryWithPassword is absolutely wonderful. No ads, even in free version. And a one time purchase of $7 is super fair in my opinion because that’s less than I would spend on a pen and notebook and this is even more convenient anyway because I always have my phone on me.

I love DiaryWithPassword and would definitely recommend it to anyone who will listen to me. Thank you to the creators and developers for making DiaryWithPassword! Journalling is so important and helpful, especially through tough times and it’s so nice to have just a genuine decent app as a safe space to do so. I’d give it ten stars if I could.

Absolutely Amazing!

I have been trying to get into the habit of journaling for years. And no matter how hard i tried i never could journal for more than a few weeks until i’d eventually give up or forget. I decided to give journaling one more try- DiaryWithPassword!

Having your diary in you’re phone makes it 100 times more accessible. It is so much easier to simply tap an icon, rather then using a physical diary. I’d argue that this dairy is safer than your average diary too. You can pick a password of your choosing to use to get into your diary. And whenever you exit DiaryWithPassword (even just for a second) DiaryWithPassword closes and locks completely. There is no way anyone is getting into your diary! You can change font size, style of font, etc.

DiaryWithPassword is genuinely amazing. And a few tips for anyone interested:
1-Write short, easy to read, interesting paragraphs instead of long and hard to read stuff. It makes journaling more fun!
2-Try to write everyday, but don’t push yourself too hard. Sometimes you’ll miss a day or two. That’s ok!
3-Know when to quit. If your diary becomes a chore- quit using it. Sometimes it’s best to just give up than to keep doing something you dislike.
I personally have written in this diary, everyday, for almost 5 months. You can too!

Symani diary

So when I saw this at 4+ I was like I’m a 8 that’s really good so I’ve been using it like that on my break I need a little bit when I’m done with school I use it a lot I don’t know why but it’s like help me type faster I’m in third grade show me type faster I sent this to my friend and there’s another episode with my friend and it’s like a to do list app I have so many list on it but I’m not gonna be called talking about that I’m gonna be talking aboutThis it’s like like this took me about five minutes to type like that rest OK so like a whole arm 20 minutes 30 minutes I don’t know but is really good like it helps with my typing and. If you go to the bottom there’s like a Lockward like that’s an actual law you have to put in a call you my friend you put it like it is it up so that really helped open my birthday

Simple. Easy to use, no frills.

I just got this today. So I haven’t used it a lot. I did copy and paste all journal entries into DiaryWithPassword .I like how it has several different layouts that you can use, different fonts and sizing, password protection - write it down. I don’t think there is a recovery unless you have the paid app.

I would love if you could add photos to entry. I would definitely pay for that. One reviewer said have you ever got a free app and then decided to go ahead and pay even though the “extra“ benefits you get for paying didn’t really make much difference to you, but you wanted to buy DiaryWithPassword just to support the developer. Yes, I have had that happen- once. This may possibly be the second one. If they added the ability to put photos in the entry I would definitely pay for this.

One day in…. If opinion changes, which I don’t foresee, I will update.

Simple and elegant

I didn’t set a high bar, but DiaryWithPassword exceeded my expectations regardless. I wanted something that could remind me to reflect on my day, then look back in reflections in previous days. The passcode wasn’t a must but it’s very nice to have. The display is clean, easy to read and easy to customize. Dark mode is only a premium feature, but I actually like the way light mode looks—and that’s coming from somebody who keeps dark mode in perpetuity.

I have seen other journaling apps which are more more gamified, structured, and centered on tracking your mood. I can’t testify to their relative ease of use, but in an effort to make journaling easier they usually focus on surveying the broad strokes of your fat. But DiaryWithPassword is an ample choice for those who prefer writing out more detailed messages to themselves in words.

Please read

Personally, I’ve got a lot going on. Much more than covid. Im actualy in middle school and i got a whole lot of drama to avoid. Sadly, i cant avoid it all. Then ive got family issues. (I think i have depression but there’s no way im telling my family about that) so DiaryWithPassword is the only place where i can just explode all my thoughts and not have to worry about any one judging.

- since DiaryWithPassword has a password is it very reliable. It is one of the few that when you double tap your home button, the password still shows up
- i like how DiaryWithPassword isnt based around one single thing. DiaryWithPassword could be your story book. Your journal. Your daily dose of drama.
- it doesnt give the notification of “hey. You havnt opened DiaryWithPassword today” it’s just there where i can use it once a week and be perfectly fine with it
- its not money hungry. It is 99 percent usable without any payments.
- doesnt need wifi so you can use it when you dont have a hot spot currently availiable
- its so simple. It doesnt need any kind of extra time to figure out of a tutorial. It’s great for beginners and people who’ve been using DiaryWithPassword for a long time.

I personally would 100 percent recommend! I dont see why its not at a perfect 5/5 stars

FREE! AMAZING! APP!

Best Diary App Here!!

Love how simple the UI is and how simple it is to use DiaryWithPassword without any instructions. I appreciate the password lock variations. Being able to customize the font and viewing experience is enjoyable. Overall amazing app!! I hope you continue to upgrade DiaryWithPassword for years to come. One thing I ask though is for a feature, kind of like the stock iPhone calendar where I can zoom out the days, months, years, to go back to any one of my notes. Or maybe a quick feature so I can go back to any one of my notes at any day in any month and year. Also, maybe a quick copy feature where I can easily transfer my diary entry’s to Evernote or iPhone notes.

Thanks again for this FREE! AMAZING APP! you are helping manage my mental health.

Appreciative for this app

This is a bit long of a review but I promise it’s informative and well thought out.
I got DiaryWithPassword because I was looking for a place to jot down my feelings in an organized matter when I don’t have time or a place to put it on paper.
I am not one to write reviews that often, but DiaryWithPassword is much deserving of one.
DiaryWithPassword has a soothing, simplistic style to it that makes it easy to clearly jot down your thoughts in their raw form. Other apps I’ve tried have tons of colors and designs, and I’ve honestly found those to be very distracting and sometimes stressful. Overall it’s a very inviting design that makes it easy to want to write in DiaryWithPassword .
There’s no annoying, constant reminders to write in DiaryWithPassword . I’ve found that to be a huge turn off for other apps when they almost antagonize you to use DiaryWithPassword .
The use of DiaryWithPassword is beyond easy. You touch the button to start writing, you write down your thoughts, and it’s saved for the day/order that you’ve written it. Nothing complicated at all.
Thank you to the creator(s) of DiaryWithPassword for really paying attention to the experience for users of DiaryWithPassword. I wish you much success in future endeavors with creating more apps.

Good, but needs minor tweaks

I’ve only had DiaryWithPassword for an hour and it’s been good so far.
What I love about DiaryWithPassword :
- Simple, straight to the point- no extra bells and whistles. For some that could be a downside, but I love it. I wanted a journal and I got a journal. Perfect.
- Customization - I love that I can customize the look and feel of DiaryWithPassword .
- Layout - I love the journal layout. The date on top with the writing on the bottom. It is laid out so elegantly.
- Payment - One time payment for a lifetime access?! Unheard of these days! Thank you!!

A few things that made me knock off a star:
- I wish there was a way to change the Comic Sans style font. I thought that changing the font would globally change all the fonts, not just on the journal.
- Night mode isn’t really a night mode. It’s a grayed out version. It would’ve been nice to have a night version with dark background and light colored font.
- Calculator app with History under Setting - why is it so high up on the list? I understand that you want people to download your other app but does it really need to be close to the top? Closer to the bottom makes more sense.

These are minor things except for the font. I’d love it if I can change the font. That’s all! So far, I like DiaryWithPassword and will continue using it.

Great App

Really great app and I’m glad I chose it. Before I got DiaryWithPassword I got another app and it was so unpleasant to use. You needed to get a premium subscription to be able to activate the password to get into DiaryWithPassword and the name of DiaryWithPassword said “plus password”. So I had thought that the password part was free but it turned out it wasn’t, and I was mad about that. There are also multiple buttons and steps to use DiaryWithPassword and to be honest I was too lazy to do that, so I deleted that app, and I found this one instead. DiaryWithPassword is so easy and fun to use. You can customize the way your letters look and the password part is free. It’s very easy to use and to learn how to use it right away. There are less buttons and less steps to use DiaryWithPassword that’s one of the reasons why I love it.

Perfecto!

DiaryWithPassword is By far the best app i’ve had. for the past week i’ve been trying a lot of different Diary and Jornal Apps for when i want to Vent or when i Don’t have anyone to talk to about my issues, And so far every app i’ve had never really suited what i wanted, DiaryWithPassword is DiaryWithPassword that Matches My Expectations. When I enter DiaryWithPassword it immediately requires passcode(After i set it) Which is amazing, And You can Actually go back and edit your entry’s unlike some apps i’ve Had. DiaryWithPassword is overall really amazing and i totally recommend it to anyone! The one downside that’s very Small is i have to pay for pro features Such as the fingerprint passcode and Zen shape Passcode and Dark Mode and A few other things But that’s okay because it’s all only like $2 and I don’t think you really need any of that anyway.

Great App - Great Developer

Edit: Changed my rating to 5 Stars! And here’s another reason why DiaryWithPassword is so great — developer response. He listens, and when appropriate, makes changes that make sense. You can now receive your pdf of entries by saving it to files (or wherever) right on the device. If you liked getting it by email - it’s still there as an option.
The privacy issue is fixed!
Thank You!

Original Review:
With the paid upgrade you can get a pdf of your diary. That’s usually a big plus. Most journaling apps with this ability let you just download the pdf or utilize the “Open In” or “Share”. BUT...for some reason the developer has chosen to go with email(!) to receive your pdf file. Yikes! Who wants to receive their private thoughts by - email? I think many are probably turned off by this awkward way of getting a pdf of their ...diary... but they just don’t comment. I strongly believe the developer should reconsider this approach and allow a direct download. The privacy implications are big enough to knock the paid app down to 3 stars. Otherwise - the simplicity and overall app is great! I’ll revisit my review and update if things change with the pdf.

Amazing!

DiaryWithPassword has everything you need to catch up on reminders and to write down thoughts and feelings. When my sister took my phone, she couldn’t break in. This lock is super easy to use, and helpful, too. It tracks the months, days, and years. It also has the time in military hours, which I find a nice feature. It allows an unlimited space limit, unlike a normal diary. You can take it places without anyone knowing you are writing in it, too! I find DiaryWithPassword GREAT, and I emphasize “great” because that’s how useful DiaryWithPassword is. Even if there are some things locked, I don’t think they are that big of a deal. The only things that are locked that might be cool (not very useful) is night mode. Other than that, download now and don’t have second thoughts!

By

Simple and easy to use

I love it in the way that is so effortlessly simple and easy to use, but the only thing that I have to criticize is the fact that entries don’t carry over on devices. This really disappointing to me, because I wrote some really deep entries on my old phone but I didn’t remember my old iCloud password so I wasn’t able to sign in on my new phone and therefore since there is no function that saves journals/diary entries into DiaryWithPassword using a Gmail login or such, I lost all of them. But at least DiaryWithPassword is really pretty, and many of the features are free. Similar apps on DiaryWithPassword Store make you pay/get a subscription for basic features on DiaryWithPassword that you can use for free. Overall 5 star.

By

Flawlessly simple

DiaryWithPassword really is perfect and beautifully simple. I love that the passcode lock comes up automatically even if you just switch apps for a second. No chance of t ever being accidentally left out in the open. Click a day, start writing. It’s so simple that I don’t even know what else to say, but so flawless that I want to say so much more! It’s exactly what I was looking for. A simple way to effectively collect my thoughts and being fully secure from prying eyes. I had to purchase the upgrade in order to back up to iCloud and make sure I wouldn’t lose anything, but it’s already well worth the three bucks as it is so it was no big deal to me to throw a few dollars down for a nearly perfect app!

By

Perfect

I’ve been searching for the perfect journaling app for actual years. DiaryWithPassword is the answer. It’s tidy, visually pared down, elegant. It is honestly perfect. I love how you can see which dates have entries and which don’t – it gives a sense of time passing. I have been looking for an app with that exact function. I love that you can insert a time stamp, set a journaling reminder, star particular entries, and that everything is password locked. I really can’t describe how excited I am to have discovered this. Will definitely be a daily routine for me. Thank you so much for making DiaryWithPassword!!!

The only thing that would make it even better would be if I could write hand-written entries using the ipad pencil.

Really helps

I really enjoy DiaryWithPassword. I like the fact that I can lock it up and when my friends go on my phone, they can’t see what I wrote on DiaryWithPassword. It’s a good app that helps me cope with my issues. I write on it to help me realize what I want. Because recently I’ve gone off track on life and it’s helping me move back to where I want to be. Although I can’t access a couple things on DiaryWithPassword , I found that it’s useful for what I’m wanting. There isn’t too much locked. And I like that I can go back to what I wrote ab last month and see the progress I’ve made and how much my thoughts have changed overall. So yes I enjoy DiaryWithPassword. It’s very helpful to my needs.

Wow--This is kinda REALLY amazing

When i first got DiaryWithPassword i was going through some hard times and needed a diary. Lucky me, i found DiaryWithPassword. Im still on my first entry and im writing an amazing book and DiaryWithPassword is so good--not glitchy like others and lets you make a password. But the second question i gotasked was do u want to buy the pro? what does that mean? i skiped it and no problems 😊Amazing. Awesomesauce. At first i didnt understand DiaryWithPassword--Where was the button to press so you coukd write--wait whats this button?! But once i figured it out i was on my way to writing and it felt so good to let everything out onto this amazing app. I'll just say it now--I LOVE DiaryWithPassword!

Best App Ever!

I’ve been looking for a diary type app to use for a while and I came across this. At first, I was skeptical as it looked really boring or just like a notes app, but I downloaded it and LOVED IT. I’ve only been using this for about a week but I already love it. It has a password so that even if someone steals your phone, they can’t read it or get in. You can choose different fonts and different styles. It’s simple and effective. Even without buying the extra things, you still can write and journal amazingly! I know I will use this for a long time. I definitely recommend this.

By

This is the BEST!!

So what I really love about DiaryWithPassword is that is says the right date and stuff and you can write anything in it and it says the day you wrote it on! And you can have a password so nobody only you can get into DiaryWithPassword on your phone. And I love that you can change the fonts and usually you have to have a pass to do the fonts but DiaryWithPassword you don’t and if you do get the pass you get a little bit more fonts. So yeah I love DiaryWithPassword it is the BEST diary app I have ever had.

By

I love this!

Me and my best friend Chloe are neighbors and we talk through our bedroom windows and I told her about DiaryWithPassword because she had said somethings she just can’t tell me so she can now write them in here instead! She is so much happier and I use DiaryWithPassword to write down all the fun stuff we do together. Like when me and her were talking on Walkie-talkies when she was at the vegan doughnut shop and I was at the park, and the time we spied on our older brothers and she threw a shell at her brother.

This is a good app

By

My mum can’t sneak into this diary like she did when I was a teen🐸

So I love that I can write all my thoughts out now without the fear of anyone seeing it. I’m 70 now & this is the first time I’ve felt safe enough to write down my thoughts for just me. It’s very cathartic. Husband can’t even see it. Thanks for DiaryWithPassword. It’s simple to use & private. Mum passed on now so I write my angry & happy feelings out w/fear of her nosiness. The day & dates r there & I love going back to older entries to read my rant of the day. It feels so good. Thanks

By

wow!

I’m so glad I found DiaryWithPassword! I’ve never written a review for an app before but I took time to write this one. If you active the password, others will find it hard to get in! If you swipe down to check the time or swipe up to pause your music, it’ll ask for the password again. It’s so secretive and I love writing about all my problems and secrets in there. It also helps me get my mind off stuff.

I wish I could use night mode

I like DiaryWithPassword very much and I just started using it yesterday the only complaint I that I have is that I wish I could use dark mode and not have to pay for it I feel like everyone should have access to it if it just changes the theme I would recommend you could change the background and how it looks I would pay for that but because I can’t use something as simple as dark mode is a little odd for me but anyways I still love DiaryWithPassword

By

Secretive and effective

The minute you swipe out DiaryWithPassword for any reason it will automatically ask you for the password. It’s wonderful for when you don’t want people knowing what you’re typing and it’s all really fast. It’s simple to use so anybody can learn how to use it honestly. I love that there’s no ads, especially since every app now a day has ads. I highly recommend DiaryWithPassword!

By

Love the simplicity!!

DiaryWithPassword is great and I haven’t even upgraded to the professional version yet. I love the straightforward simplicity of DiaryWithPassword. I’m not one to use a bunch of emojis or pictures, I just want to write about my day and DiaryWithPassword allows me to do so. The ability to set a password is great and the function seems to work well. Anyone looking for something simple will love DiaryWithPassword.

Medical diary

I have kept a migraine diary for years in a notebook and decided to switch to digital. This is perfect for it. The ability to send a PDF to myself is very helpful as I need to put my ups and downs into a certain format for my doctor. I can also put a hard copy into my files and change it out for an updated version periodically. Just very happy with DiaryWithPassword!

My review

DiaryWithPassword is actually really helpful because it really helps with my stress and anxiety about certain things but I mean you know it also helps to just get my feelings out the thing that makes it really helpful is that it is really simple to use and it is private which helps a lot since I have siblings that like to get on my phone a lot so ya it is pretty helpful.
