App won't let me have parental controls when away from home, just says connect lost. Does me no good if I can't control the internet away from home.

I can't use the DS Router app to manage my synology router and manage my kids' devices. It says "unable to connect to your router. Please check: - the Internet connection of your synology router and mobile device - the correctness of the synology router's IP address - synology router permits external access" All of those are checked so not sure why I kept getting that message.

How to fix DS router app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the DS router app on iPhone
Update DS router app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall DS router iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix DS router on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve DS router network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, goto Settings » General » Reset » Reset Network Settings.
2. Enter device passcode » confirm [Reset Network Settings].

Turn off iphone VPN:
1. Goto Settings » General » VPN

DS router Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix DS router not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Force Stop the DS router App
1. On android, goto Settings » DS router » click [Force Stop]

Update DS router to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear DS router App Cache and Data:
1. On android, goto Settings » Apps » DS router » Storage » click [Clear Data] option. This clears both data and cache.
2. restart DS router.

Fix DS router unable to contact server/ DS router internet connection errors on Android:

On android, goto Settings » Apps or Manage Apps tab.
Click DS router » [Force Stop]
Next, goto Storage » click [Clear Data]
Again, goto DS router » Mobile Data » [Allow Background Data Usage].
Go back to Settings » Connections » Mobile Network » Network Mode. Change the network to 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch DS router
