My wife called up the help centre to say the app is not working on her iPhone and has been told that because she has upgraded to ios 16 she can't use it. There is no current fix date been offered and by the looks of it this has been going on for a while. How long does it take to create a fix for this as so many customers are now inconvenienced and getting very annoyed?

My Mobile Banking app has been 'temporarily unavailable' since 07.00 yesterday morning. Any suggestions? I don't have an iphone so doubt it has anything to do with IOS16 problems that other customers are experiencing.

I updated my iphone to IOS16 beta version afther that its been nearly two months since I am not being able to open my hsbc app. HSBC is really slow regarding these matters.
HSBC banking does work if you access it via the main website using Safari. Not ideal but it does work as a temporary workaround. For info - First Direct app also fails but Lloyd’s apps are OK.

Posted on another HSBC forum and had no response i the last 24 hrs so thought I’d try here. Not holding out for one here either. Mobile app not working since iOS 16 update. Crashes as the beginning so no login available. HEEELLPPPPPPPPP………… It’s been over a week since my phone update and all other banking apps work just fine. Think it’s time to jump ship. 🤷🏾♂️

No app developer has to make any app compatible with an iOS beta and they do not have to make it compatible as it’s a beta version of iOS. App developers only have to make their app compatible when iOS 16 is officially released. Apple even advice you install this on a secondary device as you can expect issues with a beta and you accepted that when you agreed to install a beta, this includes some apps not working.

It does appear HSBC tech's are way behind Apple with their app compatability. Ios 16 beta has been out a while now, even on v.4, yet the HSBC app is still force closing when attempting to open it. This is so frustrating, please HSBC speed up your compatability technicalities....

Not able to access banking with ios16
HSBC app isn’t suitable for ios16 as of yet. A temporary solution is to delete ios16 beta update through settings>general>vpn&device management. Find the ios 16 beta and remove the profile. Not an ideal fix however if you’re willing to use ios15 for now then this works.
