BlankStreet placed my order twice and I was told by the barista to email for a refund. I did so and about 3 weeks later I get an email asking for my receipt. I would love to just go into my “orders” section of BlankStreet but it’s just spinning dots. Terrible app backed up by terrible customer service. The baristas are great but no one else behind this brand seems to give a crap. The email I received by the way was not a response to my original email asking for help with being overcharged but instead was a reply they sent to an unsolicited customer service survey. My emails were all polite but I was less polite in the survey which was intrusive and annoying. Their subject line when they relied? “Ask Nicely.”

I signed up for the Regulars Program and was still charged full price for covered drinks through BlankStreet . It was impossible to contact someone to fix this issue, as the only customer support was a chat bot. Significantly diminished my customer experience and will take a break from Blank Street until they get this figured out.

App seems to have major issues if you deny location access. I can choose my location manually. You don’t need to track everyone. Not surprising from a VC backed company. Also, Grand Army Brooklyn location has had issues the two times I visited. A few days ago, their steamer wasn’t working so no coffee available. Maybe at least give a credit when that happens. And don’t email us saying there’s a better offer for new customers after you know we’re already a customer.

I paid for a coffee and it told me there was an error and it didn’t go through, so i paid for it again. Barista at the location said it was a reoccurring issue and she would refund my order, but it’s been a week and it has not been refunded. I emailed support and they haven’t gotten to me back, despite them saying they’d reply in two business days. You’re better off going to a local coffee shop

BlankStreet promotes the ability to join a program called regulars, it is a subscription, which allows you to get a drink every two hours. However, this feature does not work from a technical perspective. It is broken multiple times over the last 6 months. In the last two weeks alone, it has stopped functioning twice which effectively means I have to pay for a subscription and then pay full price for my drinks on top of that. Customer service response to my request for refunds when I pay out for a drink that should’ve been covered about 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time they don’t respond at all. Cancelling Regulars, going back to Starbucks where there is a functioning app and at least I get/can use reward points.

BlankStreet is helpful to order ahead when the stores are busy but BlankStreet is flawed for those ordering who are part of the ‘regulars’ (subscription) program. There is a counter which resets to allow you to order every 2 hours but I find that whenever I go in to hit ‘order’ it resets the time to 2 hours. I close out the prior order but it still thinks I have only just ordered. Also the order history is not updated real time so you can’t show that to a barista to let them know you haven’t just ordered. Luckily the baristas are friendly enough and will make you a drink even though it’s impossible to order with Regulars discount.

Most other apps assume that a customer might want to order the exact same thing from the same store and they make it easy to do that. I would assume that’s an especially common use case for a coffee shop. Yet every time I use BlankStreet I have to first watch a movie when BlankStreet loads, select the store and then choose from the full menu. It’s about 300 clicks to get the same coffee you bought last time. People who haven’t had coffee yet don’t have time for this.

Now don’t get me wrong, I go to blank street often and I adore them. However, BlankStreet is really terrible. It’s one of the buggiest I’ve seen. I was a regular for awhile but they discontinued the double points and this was never said in BlankStreet so I lost out on extra point or points in general for 2 months. I quit the regulars and they gave me 20 points to reprimand for the bugs I experienced while using the regular program (orders not showing, app crashes, no points, etc). I then try to order with my points like I used to and it doesn’t work but I’m in a rush so I just pay with my own money. Then today I try to order with the points again, BlankStreet bugs out again and now says I have no points. I thought it must’ve double ordered so I go in and ask and nope, it just sucked my points. I feel bad for support because I’m messaging them constantly and I feel so annoying. I just want coffee before work 🥲

Really a frustrating app experience when you’re rushing for coffee in the morning. Love the regulars subscription when it works but otherwise not worth the expensive stress/frustration! Also would love to save my selection as a favorite when I don’t always reorder the same thing!

This may simply be user error, but I order my coffee to a wrong location a lot, and sometimes I order one of the foods and they are “sold out” when I come to pick it up. I never know if I am getting refunded for issues like this and it gets a little frustrating.
However, I love BlankStreet as it helps me get my coffee faster in the morning!

It’s a fine app. Looks nice. But 1. I have to skip a silly video every time I open BlankStreet . It’s so annoying. 2. About five times a week BlankStreet will say something is sold out at my location but I walk in and it’s actually not. Just prevents me from ordering ahead. 3. There’s no way to order my previous order?? So every single day I have to input my order and additions like it’s brand new. It just makes me not want to use BlankStreet .

The cafe and the staff are awesome. But I find BlankStreet a little annoying. I only order 5 items from the menu so I would love to be able to select from a “favorites” list or if BlankStreet remembered more than 3 previous orders. The recent 3 orders almost never has the combination I want to order today. So I have to start from scratch every time selecting from the tiny main menu and scrolling left and right between the sections.

Generally, I love BlankStreet. But, I find that when oat milk, for instance, is out at my store, the store has turn off the store’s availability itself. It’s really annoying for when I’m in a rush to pick up my coffee and go.
Stores need this functionality so BlankStreet can be better!

BlankStreet also has some items' cup sizes out of order ie. Hot chai latte the small option is on the left instead of the big size so I accidentally ordered a small instead of a big. Also, BlankStreet glitches after I place my order. I have to close and refresh BlankStreet since it greys out the screen and shows the locations

One of the great benefits of using BlankStreet (besides order ahead) is being part of the rewards program

However, when you order on the rewards program, it is impossible to see the breakdown of costs and savings during and after checkout.

While I remember some of the breakdowns of the benefits, it is important to me to have the transparency of each item, it’s cost, and any savings earned through the rewards program

Truly, nothing negative to say about Blank Street. In Boston, we have several close to each other and I use that as an opportunity to create destinations for a walk! Great tasting coffee, great price, fast and kind service, consistent in quality! And the fact that they offer decaf and half-caff means I won’t ever truly become an addict (or at least that’s what I tell myself)

This makes it so easy to use to order when walking up and the team is great at monitoring the flow of people in person and online orders. My only wish is that there was a way to contact the coffee shop / trailers. I’ve needed to cancel before and there’s no way to do so.

Since Blank opened last year , I’ve been here Monday -Friday faithfully! I literally work across the street and Alex and is one of the best staff members!!! Always smiling and happy to be at work! This is how I know my coffee is made with love 😊

I’ve become a regular. It is now my favorite coffee place. Would love to have the ability to save a favorite drink. I have to constantly tap in my milk and sugar preferences. Blank Street, please can you add that in the next update? Thank you!!

Great coffee, membership is a great deal! The only thing I wish they had is an option to cancel an order if it went to wrong location by accident

Love everything about blank street. Most locations are in and out style. Would love it if there would be liquid sugar option. Especially for cold brews

I wish there was a way for me to input food allergy info. I’m allergic to dairy and I’m always unsure if I received an alternative milk. It doesn’t happen often (the baristas are great) but one time I got the wrong milk and it caused a rash. Trace amounts are fine for me, I just can’t have a full serving.
Would be awesome if a prominent allergy warning could be printed on the sticker/label that gets put on the cup.

Straight and to the point, other online ordering apps should take notes - also they make selecting the nearest location so easy.

Ordering is so fast, can place it while walking to the store and pick it up right away. Love it

I liked it! Really smooth coffee and good quality milk. The only tiny tiny thing I wanna say is that the cup for hot coffee a bit too loose, coffee easily comes out😭😭Still will order cuz everything is cute!!!

App is well designed and easy to use. Ordering was a breeze, the barista was super friendly, and my order was ready as soon as I walked in the door.

I found this to be one of the more intuitive food ordering apps I’ve used. It was very easy to navigate, and I love that you can pay with Apple Pay!

All positive ! Yummy choices . Great friendly people. Wonderful choices! Fun to order through BlankStreet so you walk in and find your prepaid treats all waiting for you on the counter. HIGHLY recommend!

Easy and simple. Two improvements
1. Allow for “no ice” option
2. Fix issue that sometimes arises saying a store is closed when it’s actually open

I am a huge fan of Blank St. BlankStreet is easy to use and they have a great thing going where if you refer someone you get three free drinks. But the most important are the people, who are so kind and responsive. They make some delicious drinks!

BlankStreet is amazing! The people who work at the locations are even better! My first coffee was free and delicious. Afterwards they were my go-to place for coffee! The employees are very kind and discrimination is nowhere to be found unlike most places. Amazing business! 🙌🏾

Love BlankStreet but I’d like to be able to add a comment (i.e. I only want a little bit of the pumpkin spice syrup) because it’s so sweet the regular way. I reached out to the developer and they told me to tell the barista to remake it (but that seems wasteful and more annoying than my original request is :))

I heard about Blank Street after their recent fundraising announcement. Just got my first order. The coffee and banana bread were amazing and the ordering process was very smooth! Appreciate the first coffee free as well.
