Really like this app

I really like how AtHomePlankWorkouts works. I get a reminder in the morning to do the plank work out, and the plank work out takes just a few minutes. There’s about 4 to 5 different plank exercises per day, each pose is for a varying number of seconds. I really really like the pace of each individual work out as well as how I’m gradually increasing in difficulty. I look forward to this each morning - helps me start my day off on the right foot.

Good home exercise routine

I’ve used 6pack in 30days by the same app makers and they are no nonsense, easy to follow, 15-30 min daily exercise routines for the person who may not have time for the gym but still wants to prioritize fitness. I like the plank challenge because it is isometric strength training that does not involve a lot of space or equipment (you need a mat). I’m about a week in to the easiest of three 30-day challenges.

If it’s not broken...

This is exactly what i needed to “enjoy” working out and losing weight. It’s a core focused exercise, which is precisely what I needed. I’m 61 and because of prosthetic hip I just substitute with a different position. It also grows with you, all to the advanced program. No major frills. Totally functional. Thank you sincerely. I totally recommend it.

Demotivating; delusional

Intermediate level: First week was great - challenging but very doable. Second week was beyond my abilities but I kept at it, repeating days to try to strengthen. 3rd week, i was injuring myself just attempting a modified version. Hard to imagine anyone’s strength increasing that fast, from finding a 45 sec plank challenging to, 2 weeks later, managing 5 minutes with just a 30 sec break. Very demotivating, knowing that I can’t complete the challenge. If not for the speed of the ramp up, j would have given this 5 stars - good duration, clear instructions, good interface

AtHomePlankWorkouts is great my son likes to exercise with me and I look much better than I did before I was like 280lbs and now I’m like 210lbs. Thanks plank app you helped me a lot and AtHomePlankWorkouts is still helping me. And my son was skinny and like 65lbs and now he’s like 80lbs and healthy thanks again plank app your amazing!

Purchased app why are there still ads?

First, I don’t like to give a negative review but find the ads to be annoying enough to do so. I took other reviewers tips and purchased but I apparently didn’t read between the lines because ads are still on AtHomePlankWorkouts in very annoying places. Can someone provide an explanation or how to get them off? I like AtHomePlankWorkouts and would give it 5 stars but ads are annoying enough I will continue to search for an ad free one.

Works for me

I don’t remember where I found AtHomePlankWorkouts, but it has been great to remind me and encourage me to exercise. I can’t use it everyday, but usually three to four times a week. Right now I am repeating the last few days in the beginner section before going on to the next. I really like AtHomePlankWorkouts!

Love it!

Just started this workout and I am a big fan. I work overnight and the weird hours and eating habits have caused my body to go in the can. I like the directions, the diagrams and the progress monitoring. I’m a sucker for stats and tracking so this is right up my alley. Give it a try!

Awesome!

I didn’t think I’d be able to stick with this but it’s so easy and fun that I just got motivated to keep on. I just finished day 30 and I did the entire workout!
And I love the robot voice boot camp instructor, she’s hilarious!!! “DO THE EXERCISE!”

Ads drive me nuts

I would have totally given AtHomePlankWorkouts 5 stars if it weren’t for all the ads! One day one popped in the middle of my workout and stopped the timer!! I get using the advertisements, but come on! Space them better than that!

I love this app BUT…

Recently they’ve started serving up ads in a different language where you need to be able to read the language to close AtHomePlankWorkouts . Otherwise, you have to force kill AtHomePlankWorkouts . Otherwise, it’s an awesome app and it’s really improved my core strength and added significant new muscle mass - and I’m in my late 40s. And at under ten minutes a day, I can do it.

i didn’t know there were so many variations of planks?! I’ve been using AtHomePlankWorkouts for a week and appreciate the pace and ability to add another set when i’m up for it.

Just started using AtHomePlankWorkouts recently. So far so good. Would like to see instructions on form before the workout segments start. Would really want an Apple Watch app addition. Would also like an option to remove ads, I’d pay a few dollars for that.

Very good App

I love AtHomePlankWorkouts. During COVID 19 this has been a lifesaver for me. I’m 61 and I just want to get my clothes fitting better. It worked. Just wish I had some options as the voice.

Challenging

As others mentioned it progresses a bit too quickly. I’m near the end of my 30 day challenge and it has gotten much harder. Especially doing straight arm planks then regular planks then a reverse plank back to back is killer.

Still not strong enough

I’ve been using AtHomePlankWorkouts for 15 days on the beginner level, it’s progressing too quickly and I can’t actually hold a plank for the time that it’s now asking me to do. I’m a generally in shape person, so I’m thinking it needs to progress a bit more slowly to be effective.

Meh.

AtHomePlankWorkouts is meh. The workouts and progressions are fine. I could just as easily do planks on my own with a timer, but I went with AtHomePlankWorkouts instead because of the reminder feature. I have it set for a daily reminder every evening. Not once has it gone off. I will be deleting this and looking elsewhere.
