The idea of having a halo waypoint mobile app was something I wanted back when I played Halo 4 a lot. Customizing your spartan is neat and almost expected, but with this being a mobile app I’d like to see some implementation of your spartan’s AI that you can interact with on the go as well. The UI isn’t necessarily lack luster but it does feel like it’s missing some key components, and with some other kinks to work out, HaloWaypoint is a few patches away from being a pretty good companion overall. It is unfortunate that with it’s release, most of Halo Waypoint Mobile’s functions are bugged or just inaccessible but I’m sure these problems are already being worked on. One last suggestion I’d like to see is a leaderboard for friends and rivals or even a clan page to keep track of squad mates progression as opposed to your own. Ofc these are just some small fun ideas I’ve thought up or things ik everyone would appreciate. Happy gaming Spartans!

I’m a Halo fan (and a Bungie fan, and a Mass Effect fan). The point is, I like my companion apps. This has the potential but the developers do not seem to have taken the time to include even the most basic account connections or even minimal usability quality control!

Here’s what this needs to make a basic 3-4 star rating:
1. Let us see what are Spartans look like and let us make the edits through HaloWaypoint .
2. FIX THE PURCHASE FUNCTIONS! I own all the games so quit asking me to buy them again! And if you’re going to offer the ability to buy credits, you better make sure that function works!
3. For the love of the Forerunners, please make our campaign and multiplayer stats reviewable through HaloWaypoint ! We want to see how we can improve!

Now, if you have any desire to make this a truly great companion app, you should include:
1. Access to the data archives through the campaign.
2. The ability to create and communicate with fireteams through HaloWaypoint .
3. A non-glitchy GUI that allows for seamless transitions between data pages.

343 Studios/Microsoft…we all know you can do better than this. Halo Infinite alone proves that. So if you’re going to make and support HaloWaypoint…do it well and do right by your customer fan base…or don’t offer HaloWaypoint at all!

Buggiest app I have downloaded to date. Customization screen takes minutes to render. Nowhere to link Steam ID, despite supporting it. Profile customization is supposed to let you display top awards you’ve received, but it doesn’t load them at all so there’s nothing to select. The ‘Join Halo Insider’ button takes you to a screen that says it isn’t working and there’s no way to exit without restarting HaloWaypoint completely. As far as I can tell, HaloWaypoint does nothing. The news articles are just links to external sites. You can just google them. It also doesn’t support viewing others’ profiles so I’m not sure why customizing your profile to display achievements is even an option. Who know? Maybe it is supposed to do more but as far as I can tell, half HaloWaypoint won’t load the buttons it’s supposed to have, so it’s impossible to say. I have the newest iPhone, so I’m sure it’s not me.

HaloWaypoint underwent an overhaul and is intended to be the companion app to Halo Infinite, yet lacks basic features like showing your service record for the game (lifetime kills/deaths/assists, match history) and instead just shows your challenges and Battle Pass progression. HaloWaypoint allows users to access their Spartan customization, but is slow to load a preview of your character model (a static group of images layered atop one another, with some taking a while to appear).

Oh, but it gets worse. At the time of writing, HaloWaypoint shows Halo Infinite as “coming soon”, despite working before Dec 8th (the game’s launch date) and doesn’t allow access to that part of HaloWaypoint . This is a companion app that doesn’t recognize that the game is out.

I tried to purchase points and it sent me to the Microsoft website where I bought $20 worth for the new cyber update. I went back to HaloWaypoint and my points weren’t there. I waited, restarted HaloWaypoint , signed out and back in again but the points never applied. I’m going to miss this content because I’m out of town by the time it’s gone and the only way to purchase the points is through waypoint. I contacted Microsoft to fix it, they told me to talk with 343, they told me to talk to Microsoft. AHH! Now I’m scared to try again and lose another $20! Customization is a great feature but other than that, it needs to be optimized to be faster and actually have useful stuff. Anything on the game that saves data (match results etc.) needs to be on HaloWaypoint too.

I like how easy to navigate and to see games, articles, and other stuff HaloWaypoint can do!

There is a bug that won’t let me be contacted with insider news, just letting you know.

I know this is just the beginning, but so excited to see what else HaloWaypoint will bring and what kind of features and tools for halo infinite and other games!

How, as a company owned by Microsoft is HaloWaypoint so insanely unpolished? Half the time I open HaloWaypoint it says “no flight available” and the game is fully launched… Want to check your challenges mid match, since you can’t do it in game for some reason? Good luck trying to click open the challenge menu and then scroll. It takes forever to try scrolling through HaloWaypoint because it feels so clunky. Please make HaloWaypoint better, it would be so helpful to actually use since, like I said, there is no way of checking challenges mid-game.

I’ve been waiting for HaloWaypoint for my whole life. The amount of substance and absolute domination in HaloWaypoint is increasingly progressive. I externally cannot show how emotionally connected I am to halo and the impact that it has had on my whole life. This Apple change everything from now on and I am not looking back. 117!

I love HaloWaypoint already with its design and the way it works for the games but it still needs work. The articles I try to load like infinite art and game flight progress won't load at all as it takes an entire hour to load. If you could please try and fix this and maybe make it load a little faster. Other than that I'm very happy with HaloWaypoint and it's progress to the halo community!💜✨💞💖

It’s a good app to check things and customize you Spartan but the customize part needs fixing it doesn’t let you attach anything to yo helmet and if you try to equip certain pieces it crashes and sends you to the Home Screen. Also it sometimes doesn’t work (profile) and you’re forced to sign in and out. Other than those things so far it’s pretty nice.

HaloWaypoint works. It does what it’s supposed to do. But it also feels really jittery sometimes, and when tapping something it can take a beat to respond. It also doesn’t support landscape on iPad which is a hill I will personally die on as required if you claim to have iPad support. Hopefully this gets up to snuff with apps from other games like Destiny in the future.

I love HaloWaypoint and the potential it has however most of the apps unusable when I try to load up articles that get posted it tells me to sign in and after doing that I just stare at a blank screen forever the articles never load. Other than that HaloWaypoint works well as a stat tracker but that’s about it. Hopefully they fix this bug Bc I would love to read the articles they post.

So HaloWaypoint would be great if it had a career option to view your all time k/d and with other game modes. Also the customization doesn’t seem to save but other than that I like HaloWaypoint in general

When companion apps first started showing up they seemed to be going in the right direction. It doesn’t seem like anybody even tries. The apps should be a companion to playing the game. For example being able to adjust load outs while next game is loading or getting Intel on the next map. Anymore they are just another hoop to jump through to unlock content or advertise other products from the developer.

For about 24 hours now (since I downloaded HaloWaypoint ), I can’t actually join Halo Reach. It keeps saying that there’s a “Slipspace Disruption”, and it takes up the whole screen. At that point, if I want to access HaloWaypoint , I have to close it and reopen it. Don’t get me wrong, that isn’t a huge deal, it’s just a bit annoying.

The new update is awesome. Although I do have an issue with the spotlights. When ever I go into one the text that I read gets cut off on the right hand side. Might be just a bug but overall this I a great app

HaloWaypoint is good but needs some work. I couldn’t find the ranking information and it would also be nice to have more data like heatmaps, last few games details etc. if they’re there i couldn’t find them, it should be readily available.

The articles are cut off on my phone. I have to sign into my Microsoft account every time I open HaloWaypoint to read one and the medals section under your profile editing tab is broken.

Experience is nice overall, but the whole armor spartan menu and experience for halo infinite is buggy and doesn’t show the correct spartan in some cases. This is probably getting ironed out already but just in case I’m mentioning it

With the terrible Halo Channel out the door, this new redesign looks promising. Hopefully Halo 6 has plenty of integration with HaloWaypoint to make it useful for things other than reading news and stats

When I try to sign in, HaloWaypoint tells me there’s a problem with my Xbox account, despite being simultaneously signed into two other Xbox apps, the Xbox website, and Waypoint all on the same phone as HaloWaypoint . Despite this I did attempt a fresh install of HaloWaypoint as well as a hard reboot of my phone (XR) to no avail. The Halo Channel is functional on console so whatever’s going on is specific to the phone app.

This is baffling. Engagement with something like this is key to Halo’s continued success and they know that. 343 should be more informative and transparent with the community about whether HaloWaypoint is dead, or is temporarily unavailable because they’re refreshing it in preparation for Infinite. Just saying something would be beneficial. Hopefully we get a dedicated Waypoint app that works in the near future. The fact that there isn’t one is nothing short of dumbfounding. There was a really good one for Reach and that was 11 years ago.

For now, they’ve simply wasted an hour of my day with dead-end solutions and broken tech.

This is the application that every fan wants their favorite video game series to have. One that brings together news articles, blogs, commercials, trailers, viral videos, e-sport videos, exclusives, creator panels, documentaries and the fan community all into one place. HaloWaypoint not only bridges the past with the present and the future in terms of celebrating the classic Halo games of yesterday while promoting the most recent games but also gives users a peek into what's coming. HaloWaypoint is well designed allowing users to navigate the various sections from the top drop menu. The graphics and colors pop off the screen of your device befitting a game series that is well known for the scope of its universe. For anyone who is a fan of the series or is looking to educate themselves in the lore Halo Channel is well worth a download.

As a franchise as important to Xbox as Halo this is a let down, when I installed HaloWaypoint I was like: “Whoa cool all the wiki and jazz is here” I am a sucker for my spartan stats so I went there I was like “heck yeah” and then it had an error. I was like “okay, let’s try again” and I did so and it kept having them I was really disappointed and I was like: “let’s check something else out” so I went to nightfall and that had the same problem so then I went to RvB and I was like, a classic and as did that have the same thing. As an app with about 5 total purposes I’m a little salty. The best part is, none of this crap even happened 4 years ago when I first started it on Xbox.

Not all of us own Halo 5. So if your looking for your entire Halo career stats using HaloWaypoint your going to be disappointed.

One of my favorite things about Halo Waypoint. No stat tracking for the Halo Master Chief Collection either, and it's a Xbox One title?!?

Now there is a great amount of Halo lore to be found which is awesome if your trying to get up to speed on all things Halo! Other than and it's just.....boring.

It’s been a very long time I’ve used HaloWaypoint, but my old phone ran out of storage, so I’ve deleted HaloWaypoint and many more to just be able to text again. Now that I’ve gotten a phone with over 250GB of storage, I’ve figured to get HaloWaypoint again because I miss watching the shows, reading the lores and keeping up with my stats. But this remains unusable. I can’t seem to login. I try with my Microsoft account and that works, but HaloWaypoint... just doesn’t loads or nothing. It’s been 5 years since their last update.... there’s a new halo game that’s coming out. So what’s gonna happen to this?

HaloWaypoint is very useful and I am fascinated with all the updates and information that I can navigate through on HaloWaypoint . I think it is a major UNSC success. I do have a suggestion for the Halo 5 game itself, maybe add the addition of Cooperative play. That would help a lot of people who have friends/family that want to play at the same time without having to obtain another Xbox One and game to go along with it.

Halo Waypoint is a trillion times better than HaloWaypoint. 343i you really failed us this time. Not only is this a watered down version of Halo Waypoint, but it's also laggy and loading screens are EVERYWHERE. It's completely outmatched compared to the much older and superior Halo Waypoint. I tried regaining my unlocks from previous halo titles and I had to wade through both versions of HaloWaypoint just to update my profile's unlocks. 343's lack of thought and intelligence is baffling. If I ever meet someone who is actually mentally handicapped, I'd give them a medal for being smarter than this company. Another "screw you fans" from 343i.

I see a lot of people saying “HaloWaypoint won’t work on my phone” and I was getting similar prompts. I’m pretty sure my issue is because I’m on iPhone. I can get HaloWaypoint on my console but it’d been nice having it on my phone. The rating would be a lot higher if HaloWaypoint was compatible with iPhones. Nothing explicitly says “not compatible with iPhone,” but if you look at the system requirements it says it needs a windows OS. Make HaloWaypoint more accessible to other OS’s please. Waypoint worked fine btw.

1. Please allow us to see our spartan in full view
2. Allow us to see our friends stats
3. Update HaloWaypoint every so often
4. Allow us to customize our channel or home page or something
5. Allow us to view our entire unlocks and/or other locked items

I would like support for iPhone X, like it takes up the whole screen. The screen would normally be fine for 16:9. But sometimes the video is wider than that and I’m forced to have this huge border around the video when it could be enlarged. Please update.

I like HaloWaypoint , but it's not an app that keeps me coming back. However, if there were up to date stats and placing for the HCS scene, I would definitely use HaloWaypoint while the competitions were going on.

HaloWaypoint is great. The one thing I know that is needed is we need to be able to see who is getting what Commendations in Spartan Companies. I need to be able to tell who is not playing so I can boot them and recruit players who play a lot. Please include this 343, asap!

HaloWaypoint needs a lot of improvements because of various issues. It signs my out of my xbox account and i have to sign back in. It should give you a choice to stay signed in. Also the videos are at a very poor resolution and the pause button is huge which gets in the way. Another problem is that HaloWaypoint can be unresponsive quite often.

Only rated it 5 so people can see it way point was much better and was a lye use able and I just won’t to look at my halo reach career and get the halo reach helmets

I’d give this 0 stars if I could. I’ve had this installed, deleted and reinstalled quite a few times over the last 6 months and not once have I been able to log into HaloWaypoint . Just like everyone else, I get the account error message, even though I’m logged in on a browser and my Xbox. Let’s get some fixes for the app for THE exclusive Xbox game.
