I have used this app for over 4 years and have experienced general dismay every time a glitchy update comes along and ruins our daily routine. We have lost data so many times, I’m starting to feel crazy for continuing to try with this developer. ABCMouse has been more consistently helpful and offers a greater amount and variety of content. My son loved the music section but now without any new songs being added since it was created he doesn’t even try anymore. Maybe we should all take a lesson from his seven years of wisdom and stop expecting anything more of this developer.

My son loves originator apps and still plays math tango a lot. Endless academy helped him with spelling, reading, Spanish and more but unfortunately he was upset with one of the words and its depiction. He refuses to play and I have since deleted app off his iPad which is sad since I spent $100 on the lifetime subscription years ago. All in all his has somewhat surpassed what the app had to offer and learned a lot from the app but I wish he could still look at the app fondly instead of being upset when he hears about it. I literally use as a punishment threat that I will put endless academy onto his iPad. So the issue is with the reading/spelling section on the word itchy. It is a little alarming and upsetting the depiction. Although I know he is overreacting and does at times as a lot of young children do it could be perceived as troubling, He has had allergic reactions to things and felt itchy before so I’m sure he felt some extra connection to it. So in the video the monster little blue hair becomes crazy and he is itchy so he is shaved aggressively by grumpkim with a shaver in a big over dramatic way and is then left bald afterwards. My son is literally still upset and traumatized after last year and cries hysterically anytime he hears the word itchy. My sons suggests that you just get rid of the word or come up with a more sensitive way depict it.

I bought the lifetime pass last year, which was very expensive, because they were adding new content all the time back then and the ads said that would continue. Well, it has been more than a year since any new content, just bug fixes and a holiday themed home page. My kids played often for a couple of months. Now only once in a while, making me wish I’d just done the monthly so I could cut it off when they got tired of it (would have saved me over $100). Their new Math Tango app looks interesting, but I feel like it really should get added to the subscription service in addition to being available as a stand alone app. I thought the whole point of ELA was to get all their new content in one convenient app, I guess not.
