You have the right idea however there are many things to consider when you’re throwing out mine locations. And you cover many of them. But I do not think that it has enough in-depth research it seems like most of mine so that you cover our only major ones are historical major ones. At this moment I don’t have time to go into great depths however the problem I see with it is when I look at mine it is usually an all mine or mine that is someone else’s. If there were overlays to national forest public use landsAccess points it would be a much more helpful app. I wish I could be involved with such a project because I know there are thousands of people out there like me just looking for some recreational gold mining or gem hunting. DiggersMap is a teaser to the real thing, and I find myself wishing I could create or be part of creating the real thing. Please excuse some of the mistakes as I’m using voice to text.

I bought the pack to open all datasets. I really enjoy going on the USGS page and getting as much info as I can about that particular mine or prospect. Some mine locations are really close to the portal or adit, or are way off (several hundred yards to a quarter mile) Still, it’s a really enjoyable app to have and explore areas on the map you may want to check out in the future. If the icons or locations disappear and seem to not be working, click on the compass in the top right corner, then they reappear. Seems to work every time I do that. Enjoy!!!

Nice to be able to see what is around when traveling. Would be nice to select additional commodities on the free side of DiggersMap but I guess the developers have to earn as well.
While traveling out west I was able to see where some previous mining was and plan hiking in those area. I usually research prior but DiggersMap gives a good starting point.

I have been using DiggersMap for years and I had bought the gold pack to unlocked it witch was free for a very long time then about a years or so after I had bought it they must have updated it and I changed phones so now I need to pay again nope no reason DiggersMap is grainy and really only works if your on WiFi can’t use it in the field. And I feel after hiking dozen of this gold location that the GPS on DiggersMap is off by 100s of yards

You’ve been warned DiggersMap is junk

Even though the free version only gives you a portion of the available claims, the information is awesome. If you want the full data available, then there are in app purchases to get the rest of the data.

I’m new to prospecting but very eager to get started DiggersMap refers me to points of interest we’re gold has already been discovered and I’m very hopeful that the creeks surrounding these points will be good places for me to start panning and prospecting.

Just started browsing around and couldn’t believe how many areas near me contained precious minerals. I’ve got almost all my gear ready to go including my blond corseted bombshell & a couple smoke wagons just to play it safe. Eureka!! M. Monroe

I have found that this application has lots of information that I typically use when I go out exploring. I have yet to find if it is real accurate but I will know in a couple weeks.

I expected DiggersMap to make me a multimillionaire however, it only helped me find $700,000 in gold and silver which is why it only gets 4 stars from me.

DiggersMap has become a tool That has helped me and is one I can't imagine being without!

DiggersMap allows me to research an area on the fly while heading to a place I am prospecting. Info is on the mark. I have found many oldtimers prospecting whole by what was on DiggersMap. Unbelievable!

The detailed info is spot on. When zooming in on areas, the only thing missing is which stone to turn over!

Excellent app, especially if u are using it for locating mines and mineral areas. Excels above all other apps out there. Outstanding customer support that always respondes to the customer. Highly recommend .

Downloaded, uninstalled right away after, no mines in my area, only 1 in the country, im @ ksa there's supposed to be gold mines here, you mean this locates actual location of existing world mines? Bad idea, i think it will be much better if we can make our own mines like scan the area for potential resources and build, go on other location scan and build

like it says the ortiz mine in new mexico produced many thousands of ounces over the yrs. but its not even on their map! how many others are missing? not sure but i have to assume there are!

I have been using it for years. Very useful and easy. (Very much worth the “no ads” upgrade.) Gold is everywhere!

Love it! Everything you could think of!

I hate it my children were using it then my phone crashed then my phone died it was at 100% and when I charged it my children went back on DiggersMap my phone did the same thing! I do not recommend 😡!

Bought DiggersMap about 4 years ago but over time and several iPad changes I now get ads that I don’t want. Other than that the information is easily accessed. I use this map mostly in Nevada.

Great app but stopped working after update

I like DiggersMap ; but it regularly seizes up on the page I’m on when I make setting changes. Exiting and returning gets me where I want to go.

One pretty cool app, loaded with information saving me valuable time.

It worked great, but now when I choose a mine and select “more info”, it gets stuck “loading”. I then have to close DiggersMap to make it stop.

I have used it to find mines.

Great app for insight into the past and future.
