Easy New Year’s Resolution

I am a lover of yoga. I have practiced yoga for several years but recently a change in life circumstances has made it difficult for me to practice yoga to the extent I would like. I have let my yoga practice become nonexistent. This year I made a commitment to myself to practice yoga every day, if only for a few minutes. I get easily bored if I do the same thing every day.

5MinuteYogaWorkouts has been perfect! I can set a notification to remind me to practice each day, and 5MinuteYogaWorkouts gives me 5 simple poses each day and guides me through a simple practice. It doesn’t have much guidance other than “Here is the pose, now hold it for about a minute”. Thankfully I am experienced enough in yoga that I know what to be looking for in my mind and body as I practice, and I know how to put myself in the right state of mind for a peaceful productive practice.

I also like that 5MinuteYogaWorkouts tracks each day and shows me my chain of practice days. I believe it has 365 sessions - perfect for one a day for the entire year!

Just three days in I am feeling wonderful and back on track with my practice. The five poses are different every day, which helps me stay interested and not get bored.

5MinuteYogaWorkouts does make you purchase the full app after the second session, so it isn’t really a “free” app. It costs $10 after the first two sessions.

First day of Yoga ever

I’m 60 and wanted to try Yoga forever, I viewed several sights, shows and apps but never felt like any of them were for me then I came by your 5 minute Yoga and it intrigued me enough to try it. After I finished day one which was a bit rough for my stiff body I was tempted to go to day 2 because it was so short, but I’m going to follow the program. I can tell even at this early stage that this is the one. I will post more as I progress. Thank you for helping me do what I’ve wanted to do for at least 40 yrs but didn’t.

Great for starting a new daily routine

I’ve been working really hard on being present in my body and learning how to cope with my negative emotions in healthy ways- like yoga. Implementing a new routine can be really tough but I was able to dedicate five minutes in each day to these poses. Thankfully, I’m noticing a really positive difference. It helps me feel so much better in so many different ways. Just five minutes. It feels impossible to get motivated at first, If you’re like me, but when you’re done it feels really good. Promise!

Good (re)start❣️

I’m trying to get my yoga legs back… literally and figuratively! This is my way to ease back into the poses but it’s also necessary as I’m getting to the point where I can feel my body locking up after being away from yoga for so long.

Now that I’ve downloaded 5MinuteYogaWorkouts though - even when I get back to my regular classes… I could see myself using this to start my day. I have to say it makes a big difference in how I move about the world

Pleasantly Surprised

When I first downloaded 5MinuteYogaWorkouts, I thought hmmm, I’m not sure. I wasn’t sure it gave me time to master the beginning lessons. Then I went back in and realized I was not reading the directions completely and was just looking at the poses. That didn’t serve me well.
However, as I restarted and read the directions more closely, I feel the workouts in all the targeted areas and love the feeling of accomplishment once I’m done. Day 2 down.

Truly for Beginners

I’ve been wanting to try yoga for a while now, but found it difficult to attempt the poses while trying to watch a video to see if I was doing a pose correctly, not to mention trying to keep up with the video. 5MinuteYogaWorkouts is truly for beginners. I love that you can view the pose, read the description, and begin when you are ready. And move to the next pose, again, when YOU are ready!

Easy and Makes a difference

I really like 5MinuteYogaWorkouts for its simplicity and effectiveness. The directions are clear and I am able to do most of the poses (I am age 55). I just adjust the few that are more challenging for me. It literally takes five minutes. I can tell that it makes a difference as I am able to stretch a little more and if I forget to do it for a few days I start to feel it. Thank you for the great app!!

These 5 minute yoga sessions have been great for decreasing my hip and back pain when I sleep and throughout the day. I have not done a lot of yoga lately because it is hard to find the time for longer sessions, but I know I can fit in the five minute workout. Will definitely recommend it. Good for all levels, from beginner on up, for a quick yoga session.

Can do everyday

I use 5MinuteYogaWorkouts for stretching along with a Pilate app. Quick easy portable simple moves. I like I can do on vacation or traveling for work no equipment needed. I do these each morning for quite easy stretching wake up. I feel so much more flexible and notice I can easily hold poses longer than when started. Great app have on all devices iPad & i phones.. no excuses not to do each day easy and gentle moves

Good intro

5MinuteYogaWorkouts isn’t magic - you aren’t going to get a yoga bod from it in five minutes - but it will help either introduce or reintroduce you to yoga. I’ve used it several times when trying to restart my practice and ease my body back into yoga. Good description of poses but isn’t going to teach you about flow. Try the free trial and see if it’s for you!

The 5 minutes was broken up into several poses to be held for 40 seconds each. There are written directions and a drawing to follow. You, the user, push the button to start each pose, so there is plenty of time to get into position or to rest from the previous position.

Age ain’t nothing but a number !!

OMG! Getting back

This is good for someone who does not have enough time in the day to get things done. I enjoyed yoga but did not have time time to even do a 40 minute routine so I stopped for a very long time. This is perfect to get back into yoga again. I love it holding these poses. My blood is still pumping from this short workout.

It’s a big recommend!

It’s kinda good and useful, it helps a lot and it’s really easy to use or understand. I rate it a 4 star, since it was a bit laggy at first but I started always opening 5MinuteYogaWorkouts till it gets better.

Very tight, this really helps

I have tried starting yoga before, but it is always too difficult. I spend a lot of time in the weight room and the older I get the less I can lift because of, obviously age, but also because of lack of flexibility. 5MinuteYogaWorkouts has started me slow with stretches I struggle through but don’t demoralize me. I will get better.

Simple and easy to fit in

I’m finding this is a great way to begin my day and I always have 5 minutes so there’s no excuses. I wouldn’t recommend 5MinuteYogaWorkouts for those with little to no yoga experience however, I’m no veteran Yogi either and my moderate amount of experience seems adequate to use 5MinuteYogaWorkouts for some practice of what I already know.

Just enough to start the day. No excuse not to give myself five minutes to feel the stretch and begin getting myself back into shape. I have no time for classes, but I need a way to move. When I feel like I have more time, I can repeat the day before... good and easy instructions. A moving model of the pose would be nice....

I love the simple, clear approach. A few we’ll chosen poses, clearly demonstrated and explained in text, no barrier to getting started. Who can’t fit 5 minutes into their schedule? The timer is very well done, giving you a moment to get into the pose before it starts

Better

At first glance, I was disappointed it had no verbal instructions. I went thru session one and then reviewed the feat of 5MinuteYogaWorkouts . On second look, i did session one again and found the voiceless instruction nice...no distractions while doing each pose.
Pretty light for movements that I like since I am a beginner and I want to stay with this kind of exercise, and I now think I found a good app to get me started and keep me going.
