Sounds robotic

Hi there!

Tried my first class today and I’m a beginner. I’ve been to many classes before, but still consider myself new to the practice because I haven’t been to a class that explains the small things when you form a certain position (like making sure to flex your feet to prevent knee damage). In any case, this class felt a bit robotic and rushed. I couldn’t center myself and find mental peace with any of the positions because it was literally all just back to back. Also, it ended to suddenly I didn’t even realize it. I love the personalized chat feature, but if you’re going to set the bar for that kind of environment, i would recommend that the classes are less robotic. Give the class some closure for sure. Happy Tweaking! 🙏🏻

Meh...

I’ve had Yoga for almost 2weeks and I deleted it today. Great concept in theory, but poor application in MY opinion. I’m not new to the this app world, however, I’d still consider myself a beginner since I don’t do it often. Which is why I downloaded Yoga ...to help me do it more regularly and at my own pace.

The videos/instructions go waaaay too fast. Even after doing it on and off for almost 2 weeks (was trying to give myself a chance to figure it out), there’s just not enough time to keep up with the instructors. I wish they could hold the poses a lot longer to give you time to look and follow along with them. By the time I’m on lose 4, the instructor is already on post 7!!! It can be overwhelming for a beginner and emotionally make you feel like you can’t do it-which is not true!!!! It’s just too fast of a pace if you’re just starting out...

Helpful struggle

Today i ve been using Yoga for 4 days.
Very new to this app. I am trying to find relief for my backpain ( pelvic tilt, sciatic nerve irritation, nervous blood flow issue etc etc etc). Since i am unable to workout due to back ache i wanted to seek a resolution to the back ache to be able to do daily activities without being in pain and i was able to find it with Yoga.
I do feel alot better during the day and specially in the morning when i wake up and there is mild to low back pain and its slowly fading. Yoga is really helping me.
Struggle:
I am a beginner and sometimes i need to see the pose and understand and be able to settle into it which takes time. The program is set such that we know how to do it and will get it right the first time. I am unable to pace up with the instructor and i feel like alot if times i miss the actual point of doing that pose because i didnt have enough time to watch my posture or correct it. It us a bigg time struggle to keep up with the videos for a beginner.
I will appreciate if there is something that can be done to fix that.

Besides that, very helpful and convenient !
Love it !

3/4

I really like the presentation and everything. Instructions are clear especially with the video playing. I do however wish that they went through each move slowly and let you hold the pose instead of just flying through each one. I would still be on step 3, while the lady in the video would be on step 10. I’m not sure if there’s an option to slow it down, but i didn’t see it. Otherwise, I love Yoga .

I like the direction of this app but...

So to start, I went to start a free trial and was charge 4.99 anyway, aside from that some of the direction is too fast and I can’t understand it. I’m okay with a fast paced practice, but you have to slow down when it comes to specific, fine details. My last gripe with Yoga, is that the first core class I did, about half way thru, the video was showing very different poses than what was being described they my ear buds. That really threw me for a loop. I would really like my $5 back but would be more than willing to give Yoga a shot for a full week, and probably wouldnt mind paying for it after some improvements have been made. Thanks

First week and loving it already!

I’ve only started using Yoga for just about 4 days now and I look forward to my this app time every single day now. At first, I thought the flow from each position felt rushed but as I’ve been using Yoga more I feel the flow is appropriate for the type of this app I’m looking for. I didn’t think I could work up a sweat so fast in a short amount of time, so it’s definitely challenging my muscles and flexibility! I think Yoga is great for first time users as well as seasoned and experienced yogi :)

Amazing so far!

I like how you can personalize the background sound. I am only 2 days in so far but I love it! I’m going to continue using Yoga to its fullest extent.
You get to pick a trainer. I chose mine based off what their bio said and felt my choice matched what I want to strive for closely.
There are options depending on your experience and ability. I’m at baby steps here! There are also different types of classes such as posture or balance, core or weight loss. Currently doing posture.
The poses are mixed too so even though I’m a novice there are some intermediate positions involved.
Be prepared to hit that pause as with any app like this if you are struggling with a position or what to stay around a certain pose a bit longer.

Current status- Novice. Terrible at meditation but determined to get there. Flexibility is about average standard for non practicing individual. Balance is wobbly. Let’s see where I can get to in a month.
Will update soon!

Absolutely Love This App

You get to pick between three instructors that will guide you through your classes. The classes are not like your typical this app classes. The weight loss classes are moderately paced that a beginner can keep up without getting too frustrated. The variation in poses excited me due to my previous experiences with other DVDs/apps. Work up a good sweat and at the end feel totally relaxed. First time, I was able to truly relax my mind enough to focus on my poses long enough to hold the poses for the duration. Highly recommend.

Greta idea, execution needs work

Great potential. The idea is good. The execution needs improvement:
- if you’re not on the wifi, Yoga shuts down a couple of times during practice and it may or may not save where you left
- there’s no Apple TV app, so if you mirror it to the TV, everyone the it cuts to a different camera angle, it goes back to the TV and then back to Yoga , stuck in a loading wheel for a few seconds, turning a 60 minute practice into an almost 70 minute practice
- the slanted camera angles can be confusing
- the lady in the screen moves faster than the voice over

Middle age

I am two weeks into this routine. In the past decade I’ve had injuries ranging from rattlesnake bite, broken bones, dislocated ankle, torn hamstring, etc. Needless to say my mobility has been limited and my balance and flexibility was awful. In just two weeks I have regained noticeable strength, balance and flexibility. I am excited to start my this app session instead of dreading it. If I feel this much better in two weeks I can’t wait to see what I feel like in two months or two years!

Amazing

I found a love for this app last year. I have recently learned I have multiple back problems so a stereotypical workout is too challenging for me to do. this app is perfect. I struggle to find classes/routines I can do at home. I heard of Yoga and gave it a try and fell in love instantly. I’ve been doing it every day, if not every other day, and I’ve seen an extreme change in my physical body and mental state. I have more patience and more flexibility and my body is toning more then usual. Yoga is definitely addicting for me.

Best Yoga App so far!

this app Wave has helped me bring consistency in my this app practices. Being a busy mom and business owner, I could never find the time to attend this app classes. So grateful to be able to strengthen my body and mind with the different courses, which are put together very well. In the beginning quite challenging, but by practicing the same difficult poses in every session, I surprise myself with the progress I make. It’s a bit pricey than other this app apps, but totally worth it!

Great class but I can’t hear any sound

I love Yoga and the fact that it seems to be the best this app app over the 5 or so that I’ve tried over the years. I am too busy to do a this app class on a regular basis because of kids and work but I love the fact that I can use the classes on Yoga and feel like I’m getting something out of it. My only complaint is that I can’t hear any sound. I can see the video no problem but Yoga will not play any of the background music and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to hear talking for instruction or not.

Noticeable stronger

I’ve completed eight classes from the “Stronger Than Ever” challenge over the past three weeks and notice a great increase in strength in my core and arms. I’m actually able to do arm balances that I’ve never managed to master. The one downfall is that the flows are quick, my partner who is a beginner was not able to keep up. I wish there was a way to adjust the speed of poses/the flow.

Really *did love it

First time trying this app. My body needed these stretches & my mind needed this relaxation more than I realized. I’m lovin it - I have something to look forward to tomorrow. Love the pace, instructor, and simple app setup 👌🏼

Edited to add- I ended up deleting Yoga after 2 months when I saw I was being charged MORE than once a week. It happened 3 times. And when I asked about it, all they could tell me was that all charges were applicable. They couldn’t & wouldn’t explain to me why I was 1) charged twice in one day, 2)why I was charged one day then charged again 2 days later, or 3) why I was charged twice in one day yet again. So disappointing.

I’ve been looking for something like this

Yoga is so fun! It makes this app less intimidating and has really helped me to relax while I learn. Wireless headphone def help get you the full this app class experience while still maintaining privacy and serenity 💆🏽‍♀️

I’ve Ben using Yoga every morning for over a month and I’m hooked. If I don’t do my this app right when I wake up in the morning my day is just off. Thank you so much for this amazing app 💜

Enjoyable

I’ve been doing Yoga for over a week now. I’m enjoying it and the poses and classes that they offer. However it’s very fast paced (for the strength course at least) and the voice overs sometimes don’t keep up with the demonstrations. I do really wish it was less expensive, but comparing to all the this app classes in person in my area, it’s very affordable. Overall I’m enjoying it but I do wish it gave you more time with some of the poses. Great this app app!

Excellent classes with plans and variety!

I love Yoga because it has outlined plans with varying lengths, difficulties, and goals. It even checks in with you after each class to see if you need adjustments in difficulty. I get bored quickly with some apps that only give you a few options, but I don’t that problem with Yoga. It’s very well done and I highly recommend!

Breath in..... and ouuuuut

I’ve been doing this app off and on for a while and this is a nice app. I’m doing the novice level stress reduction classes. They aren’t the typical novice poses which is good. It’s challenging enough without being discouraging. The only thing I wish they would add is that it syncs up with the iPhone health app so I don’t have to manually chart it.
For a this app class that only costs 20 dollars a month and you can do it anywhere... it’s good

Nice app!

I’m just two days in, but I’m liking it a lot so far.
If I could change a couple things, they would be how quickly you’re meant to change from one pose to another. Not only is it not relaxing, it’s nearly impossible to follow along.
I’d also like to see a shavasana at the end of each class, if only for a couple minutes or even breath cycles.
Other than that, it’s a great app with a lot of diversity among poses.

Great app!

I love Yoga and like that I can do quick videos (7-10 min) between meetings. I do wish that it went a bit slower, by the time I’m in the pose it feels they’ve often already moved to the next one. That’s the only reason it isn’t a 5 star rating. Otherwise I love the videos, the teachers, style and poses!

By

Fantastic!

I started a free trial because I’m usually skeptical with workout apps. I’m very inconsistent and truth be told don’t enjoy working out. I’ve done this the past three mornings in a row and LOVE it! The time flies by, I’m getting a great workout which feels unusual because I’m not jumping all over my place and sweating like a pig, but even more so I feel SO GOOD afterwards! I highly recommend Yoga, it’s worth it!

New yogi

I am new to this app and was looking for something that would teach me the basics but could stick with on all levels. I love that there is a new class daily and teaches you each pose. You can even preview the poses they do in each class to see if this is the one for you. I have only done a few classes so far but really enjoy it and it is worth the money.

Just okay

I love the idea of Yoga and the courses it offers, however it has a few problems that are deal breakers for me.
1. During a typical class there is at least one sequence where the audio and video are playing on a faster speed in order to fit the work out in under 30 mins. Even if I know the poses and sequence not even the most experienced yogi can move as fast as the audio is talking.

2. Similar to my first comment - Since the sequences are copy and pasted together then played at different speeds the volume of the voice also changes. This is problem when I wear headphones because I have to constantly adjust the volume on my headphones to make it equalize.

3. There is no shavasana at the end the this app class.

Have to rate 5 stars

Well, first let me say the 5 star rating may or may not be accurate. This is the first time using Yoga and in order to watch the videos, you have to give a 5 star rating. I really have no idea whether I like Yoga or not. I'll try to update once I post this and hey hopefully let me watch videos.
