Great app for handling financial pressure

I habe recently relocated from Europe to the East Coast of the US, and I was appalled by disproportionately high cost of living. This resulted in significant mental pressure that I began facing. Why do the rest of the reviews read like professional reviews?

To be fair, I haven’t checked CBTTherapy out that much. The first thing I noticed was that it hijacked my phones speakers; I was listening to music at work and figured I’d check CBTTherapy out quickly, so much for being discrete.

The rest of the reviews are all 5 star, all around the same dates, and sound like they were written for a magazine article I’ll give CBTTherapy a shot (later, not at work), but so far I’m a bit leery.

Don’t waste your money

I’m surprised this had such a high rating after I used it for a few days during the free trial period. The functionality was clunky and froze up at times. Many of the sound related therapies were only 3 to 15 minutes…not long enough to get me to sleep. As for functionality, it didn’t have the ability to repeat the sound or put it in a continuous loop, or put it on a timer. The speakers for a few of the audio segments talked way too slow, even when they were explaining what CBt-i is; they didn’t need to be talking so slow while explaining what it is. Really frustrating.

Finding an app that combines quality calming sounds with CBT is rare, and this one does it beautifully. It would have been cool to have some more progress tracking functionalities but that's a minor issue, I think the content makes up for it.

This is a great app!

Love love love CBTTherapy!! ♥️ The main male voice guide has such a soothing voice, it's rare to find a voice so perfectly suited to hypnotherapy. The tone of delivery is full of emotion, truly therapeutic in every sense. Not that big of a fan of the voice guide for some of the lessons though, but it's still ok. CBTTherapy itself looks gorgeous and I enjoy looking at the calming landscapes used for covers.

Not longer working

It seems, since latest iOS upgrade, CBTTherapy is no longer working. When selecting any video it loads but can't be played. Could you fix?

Not for me

I couldn’t even get through the intro videos for the issues I wanted to work on. The voice sounds like it’s trying too hard to sound relaxing. And they were just describing the issues and essentially giving definitions of them. It is just not for me.
