Lifesaver

Last week I got home from a two week hospital stay with multiple surgeries. The l last thing I did before leaving was pick up nearly 20 different prescriptions! I had no idea how I would manage remembering all of them, their times, uses, and quantities.

I searched MyTherapy Store and came across this app. MyTherapy has been AMAZING! I don’t have to think about when I need to take critical meds and I can easily skip painkillers if I don’t currently need them. I’ve even added my regular meds and supplements as well.

I cannot recommend MyTherapy enough, the interface is clean, support is ridiculously fast to respond to questions, it’s free, and relatively safe from a privacy perspective as far as I can tell (though I’m no expert). If you need help remembering medications, get MyTherapy.

Used to be very good, keeps getting worse

Originally, it was great - all I wanted was a second/backup alarm for my several daily pill doses. Worked fine, though I accidentally found out that what I thought was an easy way to clear the item actually Cleared it - like marked it UNtaken - why would swiping basically erase it but going into it was what marked it as done? It should ALWAYS be harder to skip a supposed daily task! 🙄
Bad enough that you can’t mark it as handled from the Lock Screen. But now after their updates, the alarm doesn’t go off on the next pill, until you’ve cleared the previous pill - and I don’t mean like Monday’s and Tuesday’s, I mean if I miss my first pill which is say Vitamin A, when the next alarm that day for say Vitamin B is supposed to chirp (or whatever tone is set), it will NOT! If I miss the first dose, the second dose should be LOUDER if anything! To remind me that now I’ve got two going - but stupidly the notification badge will show a 3 for the third dose of the day even if I’ve Already marked off the earlier ones. It’s crap now and I’m off loading.

No notes section

I just got MyTherapy and I really love it. U can search for a medicine and by dosage and shorten the name to make it easier to read. It has different alarms which I’ve enjoyed and an emergency function that lets it notify u even if ur ringer happens to be turned off so u never miss a dosage. The only function I wish it had a notes area in the reminders. Essentially it tells u what u have to take and how much but if ur like me and have to make a health shake with multiple supplements there is no way to note that in one reminder. It just reminds me to make a shake in the morning. Other than that I love MyTherapy and it has really helped me make my crazy supplement schedule more simple. 👍

My psychiatrist loved this app

I got on Zoloft 4 months ago and downloaded this app as a pill reminder. That feature is great, but being able to download reports and the chart it generates in PDF form is awesome. Especially the way you can track symptoms (and try to determine correlations, which is exactly what I wanted). My mood leveled out after 2 months on Zoloft and you could see that readily in the chart. It definitely made an impact on my psychiatrist for understanding if the medication was working for me and if I should stay on it or switch. He is going to share my anonymous charts to his colleagues and recommend MyTherapy to his patients. I also love the UI/UX. Very spartan, fast, easy to use and adapt to my own needs. Thank you, this app.

A great help in keeping my meds on track

I manage many medications with complex dosing. I’ve been using MyTherapy for over 3 months and i find that combining MyTherapy with a pillbox assists me greatly to ensure i take my meds when i am supposed to. The interface is intuitive and full featured. I recommend MyTherapy for anyone who needs to manage daily medications. When doses change or new meds are added/discontinued, the interface makes it easy to adjust. With reminders that come to my phone, watch and Alexa, it has greatly improved my ability to remember to take my meds as well as helping to ensure i take the right meds in the correct dosage.

My Therapy

MyTherapy is amazing. I am on so many different medications and injections that it’s difficult to keep up with them. MyTherapy reminds me to take them by setting an alarm. It even reminds me of an injection that I take every two weeks. I also love that it reminds you of how many pills you have left and alerts you as to refill them. Once you take your medication, you click on the confirm sign! No more wondering whether or not you took your meds. I love MyTherapy. It has saved me a lot of stress.

Useful for MOST of my needs

I’m at the start of my experience with MyTherapy, and I’m pretty optimistic about how well it’s going to be able to track my medication schedule. One of the things I like the most is how you can set a custom medication cycle. I have one medication that goes 10 days on and 20 days off that a different app couldn’t handle.

But it isn’t perfect. I have to make a certain body measurement twice within a 30-day cycle: on day 1 and on day 10. MyTherapy can’t handle this. I’m going to have to set up two asynchronous 30-day cycles just to make it work. I wish the cycle setting for reminders was more nuanced.

Good - except can’t edit

This has been great for the first year I used it. Had to edit a medication from every other day to Mon, Wed, Fri (skip week end). Couldn’t do it. Tried several times. Had to delete MyTherapy - reinstall and start over.
- - - -
Update: After deleting and reinstalling I could get the schedule correct. BUT... the alarm can’t be heard. Used to be loud bells like a trolly that you could hear easily. Can’t hear it unless you’re next to the phone. Lowered to 2 stars and Deleted and installed another app.
- - - -
Another update: After trying again, MyTherapy sometimes tells me “no tasks today” even after alarming. Double tap the home, close MyTherapy , then it shows me the med I need to take. Gimme a break, it’s not rocket science.

Awkward

Had high hopes for MyTherapy, in that it claims to provide reminders (don’t need) and keep track of taken medications as well as symptoms. However, while I could add symptoms to track, I could not find them later. All symptoms were under “symptom” so how to tell pain from hives from shortness of breath. Couldn’t find a way without “opening” the symptom.
Also no help with name brands to generics for meds.
The choices for all symptoms was a 1-5 scale. Or should I say 5-1 scale? 1 was bad and 5 very good. So not intuitive for pain certainly. Pain would be best measured as 0 or 1 for none and 5 as severe; For things like hives; a mild, moderate, severe scale seems like it might be more effective. (And would work for pain also.)
Ended up deleting MyTherapy after a week.

Saved my life!

Thank you thank you thank you.... My husband has epilepsy and takes numerous meds at particular times.... and I have ADHD and have to take my meds. Then I developed a bowel issue and have to take MORE meds. I have been so focused on my husbands anti-seizure meds that I was forgetting to take my own. Then I discovered this app. Wow, I am so relieved, it is awesome. The reminder ring tone is pleasant, and I can see what I miss in bright red. Thank you so much for making this application available. I love it and it has truly saved my life!

Used to work, but no longer

I bought MyTherapy about a year ago, and mostly loved it (even though sometimes when I swiped an item to mark it as skipped, it would skip a second item and mark it as skipped as well, and then I had to try to figure out what got skipped and wasn’t supposed to.)
Anyway, the last 4 months or so MyTherapy doesn’t work on my iPhone at all. Often it doesn’t even open, and when it does, it doesn’t allow me to do anything. I can mark an item done, I can’t skip it, or add an item. Very frustrating. I turned the phone off/on a few times, but no change.

So far it works good

I was able to preset a reminder. I get a chime and a notification. I click on MyTherapy and check off that I have taken my pills. It tracks how many I have left so that I know when to request a refill. I hate that I have to take meds daily but my heartbeat is irregular so I need a system that is reliable. MyTherapy helps me remember when I have and haven’t taken my meds so that I don’t take too many or miss a dosage.

Wonderful!

So far, MyTherapy is great! I have several medications to take at intervals, and some that are as needed only, but I’ve had to track all my medications and relate them to my symptoms for my doctors, and it has been a real challenge (to put it mildly). MyTherapy keeps me on my regimen and tracks everything I need. I’m planning to print out the pdf for my doctor at my next appointment; I think it’ll be very helpful. Thank you SO MUCH for this wonderful app!!!

Great app !!! I really ~~ need it.

It's a really helpful app. In the past, medicines were placed in a container by day of the week and separated. But sometimes I forgot and skipped it. But now, it is so good that they notify you through an alarm and even check the confirmation. It's good to have a record of taking medications. Even better, it tells you when to refill, so you don't forget it, and you can get your medicine refilled again

Excellent Tracking - PROGRESS CHART is a Game Changer!

The best thing about this app App is the PROGRESS CHART - a clear, simple way to visually ensure you have taken your medications (7 day 1 week view) is a lifesaver! True peace of mind. (Would be a nice enhancement to Automatically pull in Medication info, use, side effects etc - and a note area allowing entry of how it effects you personally - all exportable to your Doctor electronically)
REALLY GREAT APP!
Thank you!

Would be great if I actually received the reminder notifications

The settings for receiving reminders do not make sense which leads to not receiving reminders at (sometimes I receive a notification but no sound and sometimes I don’t even get the pop-up portion of the notification). I suspect that the “enable critical alerts” settings are the answer but they are misleading. Every time I think I figure it out and get a medication notification to work I trust that it will work the next time and miss another notification somehow.

Would love more interaction for “my team”

I love MyTherapy and it’s been super helpful in reminding me to take my medication. However the my team aspect of MyTherapy is lacking and there are a few features I wish it would give for them

send my team or members on my team a notification if I don’t record taking my medication by a certain time.

send my team a reminder if medication is running low and allow them to register it as refilled.

Let my team see and manage my appointments, measurements, and symptoms.

Give me options to turn these on and off for each member of my team individually.

If these were added to MyTherapy it would be super helpful for me and ‘my team’, and I would without hesitation recommend MyTherapy to both my grandmothers to use with the people in their households.

Thanks for the amazing app!

Useful... Could be amazing if...

I wasn’t sure I’d respond to another app alerting me of something as I seem to respond onlyto alarms that don’t stop. For some reason I do respond to MyTherapy and it’s helped me remember my evening rx. I like cruising it off my “list.”

It would be awesome and SO helpful to have a section for To Do” items that we can add. I can’t add to activities and I wouldn’t want them there anyway. They have to show up in a different color as the other alerts are more important.

Very helpful but would love one more feature!

I’ve just started using MyTherapy as a recent illness has increased my need for meds. It’s been very helpful for things I take on a regular schedule. But, unless I’ve missed it, if I take something as needed, the time I actually took it isn’t recorded. So if I want to be sure I don’t take another too soon, I have to note the time myself.

Sorry if I simply didn’t see this in the current feature set.

Thanks.

Useful

I wish when I delay a few days after a medication is due that it would reset the time frame instead of marking it as an as needed medication instead of scheduled. Also for some reason I cleared all my meds/activities I needed to do and it tells me I have three notifications. I’ve tried resetting my phone multiple times and closing MyTherapy but the notifications on the badge won’t go away.

Best app for CFS

I have tried so many apps to keep track of my symptoms and medication, but this is hands down the best one. Truly, thank you for existing!! With MyTherapy, I’m able to easily set reminders to take my medicine and log my symptoms. However, what I most appreciate is that this app turns what I log into meaningful information that I can share with my doctor! Seriously, thank you. So grateful to have found MyTherapy.

A good scheduler, but not adaptable

I got this after surgery because I was having trouble remembering when I took my meds last. I like that you are able to set a schedule based on frequency and duration. Where it fails is if you set it for 4 times a day (for example: 5am,11am,5pm,11pm) and you are late getting a dose, it doesn’t change the reminder time. Example: I am not able to take the 11 am dose till 1230pm. It doesn’t change the time of the next dose to 830, it will only remind me at 5.

One of the best but, It disappeared

Was using it and it just disappeared so I looked it up at the store thinking that maybe only the icon had disappeared. Nope had to re-download maybe I meant to move it and deleted it in error. Not the kind of thing that will set well for these kind of apps if the records are important. Apple has too many options attached to its icons.

Works great for what I need from it

It's simple and easy to use and allows me to track my meds and make sure I take them. Plus it has an inventory function that also allows me to know when I am running low. I know it has additional functionality that I have not explored or currently need. It's free but not crappy free like some other Apps are, I like it.

Great reminder

I really like MyTherapy, it is the best that I have found to help me keep track of my medications. I only take one medicine twice a day and this reminds me and sends me an alert so I never miss it. I've tried many others and they have not worked as well as this one at all. Definitely would recommend.

Taking care of my health one day at a time

Very user friendly platform! I can keep track of all my daily meds and log temporary ones as well!! Very visually pleasing and allows you to see your past activity which I really appreciate.

You can also log your mood and other emotional/mental symptoms!!

Very Helpful

I have recently been prescribed multiple medications and have tried many systems to help me keep track. It wasn’t difficult to learn how to best utilize MyTherapy and it has been extremely helpful in assuring that my medication schedule is being followed. It works great!

More than I wanted, too complex for me.

I was looking for something to replace the broken Apple reminders that I used to use to remind me to take my morning meds, my noon meds, my evening meds and my bed time meds. I don’t want something that wants to document the specific medications. There are too many of those. I just need a check list. I may resort to pencil and paper.

Superb

I have memory issues and MyTherapy is perfect. I can schedule times and alarms, change my dose and specify number of pills. My favorite part is that it can track how many pills you have—and you can set an alarm to remind you about your refills.

By

So awesome!

I never forget my meds thanks to MyTherapy; and I am on a lot of different pills and very forgetful. Also i can look at MyTherapy later and see if I did take my medicine, in case I forget so I don’t take too much. Than you for MyTherapy!
