Firstly
The previous app was working fine but you rolled in a new app without really considering you have a significant number of customers outside Nigeria .
It took me about 4hrs of international calling credit before I could get them to link my new phone number to my account because you no longer allow email login via GTWorld .
Failures -
1) Only 1 of 4 customer service numbers worked .
2) My average wait time for every call was 30- 45mins ( you are obviously not doing something right ).
3) GTWorld is called this app but you don’t have roam free customer service number for each country you have their flag in the setup .
Secondly
It looks like you released GTWorld in the beta stages and it never stays logged in and I have to sign back in because it forgets biometric sign in .
Lastly
Because I don’t my a token it won’t even let me switch my authentication to biometric for a transaction because it keeps loading endlessly when I try to change my authentication method !

The Gtbank app is terrible when it comes to it’s usefulness.
Please you guys should bring the search tab to the top when initiating new transactions or New Beneficiary.
You don’t expect people to scroll down to search for beneficiary bank, while the select bank title is just there serving no purpose.
Also, I cant save access bank/old Diamond bank beneficiaries, whenever I paste their account number in the account to credit, I will have to search for access bank to be able to select the bank, and this also applies to other upcoming fintech companies like palmpay, Kuda, Opay, moniepoint and so on.
Please GTWorld need a customer friendly approach,
Kuda app and other apps are so user friendly and easy to use, people are migrating to those platforms to its simplicity and user friendly interface.
Please do something about their terrible app.

You guys need to do better when money does not reflect and your system shows it that it did not go thru, you guys should let your system refund it immediately so it will make it easy for everybody. Guys at the bank are so frustrated and they pass it on customer coming to lay complains about unsuccessful transactions I had to spend more than five hours today all because I was trying to get my cash back few years ago some of my transactions was not successful because it was hard to go to bank to lay complains during the shortage of cash in Nigeria up till now the money was gone. This is robbery in disguise. You guys should do better next time my money did not go thru and you guys did not refund me until I go to bank and some rude guys at the bank will be pushing me around because they see someone that is better than them I will close my account and take all my money somewhere more reliable .

Please you guys should stop this rubbish update you’re doing. You’re using it to disturb people’s transaction process. How can you say you update your app and limit me to 50k transaction per week and 20k per day. What sort of rubbish is that, is it a must for you to update? If you can’t do better with updating your app please leave it. Imagine me buying something of 200k from someone and I tell the person I’ll have to be sending 50k to them per week for a month, does it make any sense to you? You guys should stop this rubbish and restore GTWorld back to the way it is. Mtcheew

GTB is not prepared to support diaspora customers. After changing my phone and downloading GTWorld on my new device, I found that my transaction limit was significantly reduced to 20k per day. Efforts to increase this limit require an ATM card, which had expired long ago. I am unable to request a new card as I am not in Nigeria.
When I reached out to my account officer, I was advised that the only solution is to call GTConnect. For the past six months, I have been calling all four GTConnect numbers, but no one has answered or picked up.
GTB's diaspora services are severely lacking, and their GTConnect customer support is poor. I would give them one star for their diaspora services and inadequate customer support.

I deeply regret ever deciding to open this account with GTB after using GTWorld. Forget about all the usability issues, here are some big things I encountered: 1. Making an fx transfer involves so many steps, and if you make a mistake, you won’t know until the end, then you have to start again. And, they won’t tell you what the mistake is. 2. They do not disclose fees. You won’t know how much they will charge you for a transaction you are about to execute. 3. GTWorld logs you out while you are going through the lengthy process of sending an fx transaction. All this comes after the bank created an extra fx account that I didn’t need, put my funds in there and couldn’t get me access to my funds for 3 weeks. Stay away. This is a sub-par local bank pretending to be an international fx player. They are probably best for withdrawing cash in-person in Yaba or Surulere. Do not expect GTWorld to work for you.

Update: I thought my FX send transaction had gone through, but now I find out it was rejected.
GTB developer: Please tell me what percentage of the balance I need to set aside for fees on the transfer as of the day you reply. 15%? 20%?

Would give 0 starts if I could. This is so annoying, I can’t make any transfers at all with the update and worst part is the made the old version stop working. This is so annoying, now I am stuck after shopping typing this… I can switch banks just because of this because what in the world would make you take a great app with a great interface in replace it with JUNK, if you must make an update then at least make sure there are no bugs. What is the use of GTWorld when I can’t make transfers???

This could be one of the worse apps to use this 21st century if not the worst. It doesn’t function well abroad on like palmpay amongst others that doesn’t take a second to carry out a transaction. I’ve been stuck here for an hour trying to make a single transaction. Downloaded it yesterday and it worked a little bit better but can’t work today. The UI is nice but its functionality is nonsense. Gtbank should get back to their drawing board

The old this app is way better than this new app entirely. I'll suggest GTB allow for both app to operate concurrently pending when all issues with the new app are resolved. Too much bugs to fixed with this new app as it is susceptible to errors. A typical example is transfers that are not successfully completed but yet you're debited and in some cases debited multiple times.
GTB please restore the old app and allow customers to make a choice..

After my last update, GTWorld won’t load because of some server error. I deleted and downloaded it again. The fingerprint won’t register. It keeps giving me a blank page. I really think that GTWorld have cool features and it’s one of the best bank app in Naija but the fact that these features doesn’t work makes it the dumbest app in Naija. Please y’all need to resolve this issue.

The this app app has been very reliable in the past but reverse is the case now, the timeout just happens so unexpectedly after reaching the last stage and this is really annoying, I would consider moving my money out to another reliable bank if this continues. Please address this issue

Good day, i have been experiencing this type of difficulty for some time now. Whenever i try to carry out a transaction, the point where i should click “continue” just hangs. I cant move past that level therefore making my transactions not happen except i go on to use the Gtbank app. I would really appreciate if this is looked into. Thanks

For this to be one of the major banks of Africa, I am so disappointed in this horrendous user experience. GTWorld must have been made my juvenile amateurs with no education. Imagine GTWorld malfunctioning whenever I try to do a simple bank transfer. I can’t even manage or access my money when I need it!!! What a sad example of the way things in this country don’t work. Upgrade GTWorld !!

I tried to add money from my bank to my opay account using my Gtb debit card
The transaction was pending and I’ve been debited already,it penda for a long time then fail,and I haven’t got any refund it’s been 24hrs,I called opay customer service I was told the issue is not from them that it’s from my bank please help resolve it because I need the money urgently

My review is based on my experience with the so called updated app, which is expected to be up to the standards of GTBank plc, but to me it below the standard of GTBank. I have been trying to download this application for the past 3wks plus and it has not been possible. First it was my ph number, after that, my secret question , after that was resolved, it was something else . Despite the fact that I received an email saying the application is good and ready to be used. Infact up till this moment that am writing this review, I haven’t been able to download the application. It’s so disappointing, you should have left the old one for customers to use pending your upgrade moves.

GTWorld is amazing and the bank services is top notch but it’s a stress to pay a bill on time every time or make payments to people, please add the feature to schedule payments or recurring transfers for easy services, that way people can save money using the target accounts and the bank would make more money from it or add the feature to lock the funds for a period of time too … thank you.

GTWorld is okay, there’s just one problem which is the transactions history, GTWorld did not show the history anymore until you search for the specific, what’s the need of using it when I can’t track any payments?

GTWorld is a very nice one and the integration of fingerprint was wonderful, but after the last update, the application resets itself, hence losing all user registration, id and fingerprints settings inclusive. To use the application one needs to supply these information and setup the fingerprints all over again. It’s quite annoying and I hope this would be resolved soon.

When I started using GTWorld Twas working very fine I gradually continue liking the performance because it was cool and it works I’n a low network area so suddenly when I try to login instead of asking for my Face ID as before it would just ask for my password (type ) so I’ll type it to login so shortly after when I type my password it won’t login it will be redirecting me back to my phone home screen and in some cases I’ll need the online banking very fast it will be urgent and I don’t like it working this way maybe amendment should be put into consideration thank you

App has come a long way, all the new features are welcomes especially transactions receipts. However I wish you could still search through beneficiaries. Search a name. Show all the money they’ve sent to you and you’ve sent to them. Sort by total debits and total credits. Show how much you save vs how much you spend a month. Where you spend money the most. If you do it more through debit card or through transfer. It’s leaving a lot on the table.
App doesn’t sign you out, even though it has timed out, you go into GTWorld thinking’s it’s working until you get to the last step of a transfer then you have to force quit and sign back in. Very annoying.

I wish I didn’t update GTWorld . I have not been able to use GTWorld since I updated to the latest version. It took weeks before I can get it to work and when it finally did, it couldn’t verify my BVN. The customer service refers you to a useless BOT that offers absolutely no help. GTBank is not ready for the big league digital world.
UPDATE: August 27, 2023 - It looks like some updates have been made. I am able to log in and the interface looks cleaner, and more modern. I updated from 1 star to 3 because I still get occasional buggy error messages. The developers should keep working on the codes to make this ready for consumers usage. Not quite there yet.

It’s an exciting app and the new look is good, however i think it’s best you guys go back to the old version cuz it looks like the errors are much. Sometimes GTWorld will just refuse to open for no reason even when you have a good network and when it does,to do a transaction won’t be possible,this have been going on since GTWorld has been updated. It’s too bad and it looks like you guys don’t know what you’re doing with GTWorld . I suggest you guys go back to the old version till you figure it out. I’m tired.

Been banking with GTBank since 2013 and I can count the number of times I have visited the bank physically for issue resolution. Their response via email is swift as I prefer emailing. Great bank, user friendly app. Only had issues with this particular app when it was first launched and the beautiful part is GTBank listen to it’s customers.
Only thing that gets me mad is the unnecessary deduction of fees. Stamp duty charge, sms alert fee, card maintenance fee, VAT, SMS VAT, electronic transfer levy. Stop stealing from your customers

I have been using the new app but deleted it because I thought by doing so I could register for Face ID which I didn’t register for initially. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to reinstall GTWorld . It goes through all the steps past the BVN stage to the Data review page and stops there. It keeps scrolling until it times out or goes back to the first page.

For 3 days now I can’t get in the banking app, why? I’m not in the country, it’s the only means I can send money to my family for n now, imagine how frustrating, developers please if there’s something wrong with GTWorld fix it , it shouldn’t have pass a day, this is a banking app thousand of people depend on it .. GTWorld started misbehaving since a week ago. Any attempt to transfer to a new beneficiary that’s not in my saved list will lead to saved transfer list page. Any time I clicked on new beneficiary, it automatically takes me to “saved transfer list” page, I have not been able to send cash using GTWorld for some time now due to this fault.

Confusing user interface. Ever since I’ve updated GTWorld , I have not been able to link my account to my device which means I have to sign in like a new user every time.
Making transfers is total hassle. Honestly preferred the older versions to this new one

The recent upgrade falls short of expectations in terms of delivering functionalities that makes GTWorld a bank branch. Modern banking apps should allow users do everything from account opening, maintenance etc. Some useful features are gone. GTWorld is just transfer app and nothing more.

It’s an excellent exciting App you guys did well by giving us this great innovation however it seems like when ever one gets a new device ie a phone n download GTWorld on it to continue enjoying the service then he will begin to have problems with log ins and his transaction limit would suddenly be changed n it’ll be difficult to be corrected that’s the experience my wife is currently facing with GTWorld since after changing her phone last month and also at present I intended changing my phone but scared of running into the same issue.

Initially getting a hang of the interface was way different from the previous version. This is more encompassing and I like the thoughtfulness put into the design. The mobile numbers should not come up in the name or account number except you’re you want to buy data or airtime or click to display the phone contacts. Also for data protection concerns, I’m not sure if it is compliant especially since it doesn’t ask for permission every time to access the contacts.

I like the fact that the security has been tightened. Good customer service especially the customer care. They are very professional. However, I don’t like the fact that they don’t follow through with customer on issues brought to them. I reported a fraudulent transaction that is between the same bank and I was told It be resolved within couple days and I never heard anything back from the bank. Otherwise, I like the internet banking services I have received this far.

It appears I am only restricted to one account. I have my children’s kiddy accounts and my combined account with my wife, and how do I operate them ? It is very important I receive a solution to this or I will close all the accounts and transfer the money to another bank. I have been delayed much in operation of my accounts since your upgrade. I need your prompt answer as I still have transactions bothering on school fees to make.

App is great I love the new interface it makes everything easier but the only problem am having is that sometimes when I transfer to someone it will show transfer error then I’ll try again it shows transfer error again then I close GTWorld after some time maybe after 5 min I see debt alert of the transaction that was showing transaction error you guy need to fix this pls

GTWorld is good and quite easy to understand and use but a little tweak will make it better , for example , the ability to send image transaction receipt or pdf receipt , not everybody have pdf viewer on their phone . While imputing your transaction pin , the pad needs to show numbers instead of just dots to replace numbers . Transfer button should be the first button instead of fund account and the add the ability to book a debit card online .

Great improvement from previous version. Few performance tweaks and fixes required. For instance, when enabling biometrics during installation, GTWorld just hangs. Tried many times but once I skipped the biometrics, GTWorld finished the installation process promptly and was able to transact

I still miss the previous versions but GTWorld now has most of the functionalities I need. I wish you had a menu bar as to all the different types of transactions we can do on GTWorld . It’ll make it easier to find things. Well done and keep improving.

Thanks for being the best bank so far, love the service but I have an issue, I don’t know what happened two week ago I wanted to send money to my sister in access bank typed in her name and was asked if I want to send the money to the same name I typed in I clicked yes and it went through only for my sister not to receive the money I could belief it and was on my way back to United States that early morning I could not do anything. Same first name, middle name and last name. N30,000 and the recipient was GTB customer.

A little complicated, I believe there should be a choice for changing themes, it’s not everyone that likes dark mode. I was logged out of my account for so long, barely knew what good banking is. But GTWorld seem to be better than it was before. Kudos to the team who built the new app.

Sharp and reliable it has never disappointed me before but one issues needs to be resolve..if you try to use GTWorld whenever network is not good it will log out out automatically and ask you to register again and this reset the limit till after 48 hours I think that issue needs to be resolved

I had issue since more than 4months now and couldnt use my mobile app and my atm is expired.
Just now i tried again and downloaded the new this app mobile app and i was able to set it up with just my personal details questions well answered. Am so hqppy now.
It went seamless and easy to use. Everything fix and perfect

I’m a fan of the user interface, as someone with experience using many different banking apps this is one of my absolute favorites. They have also improved network sending issues as I seem to have less of a problem with network timeouts when transferring money.

GT always claim the spot of 1st when it comes to Nigeria banking system…. The new app is soo good with cool features, no bank in Nigeria offer a separate USD card account, when you lost their card, the tendency of waking up to zero Naira is guaranteed, but on GT app, you can move the little amount you need to the card and you don’t have to be worried if you lose your card. The new app is soo easy to use and recommend everyone to update their app.. I wish the star is more than 5 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Though it took some days to get through due to security reasons, but happy the transaction was accomplished via GTWorld . Let’s be patient with the security layers and the new app rolled out. It is all for customers security. Yes, security is sacrosanct. It gives peace of mind. I trust GTB. No going low on security as cyber attackers are improving on their scams every day.

I’m in the United States and my transactions has been smooth so far with the recent update but I still always have to login first to confirm I have access to my own account before I initiate any transactions from third party app and always scared to update GTWorld whenever a new update is available in GTWorld Store.

I just launched the new GTBank app and I am extremely waohed!!!
The functions I couldn’t perform on the old app for the longest time, were seamlessly done today.
I am still navigating this new app and trying to get adapted to it but so far, all I can say in a nutshell is that, this new app seems robust!
I look forward to enjoying GTWorld and giving more reviews as I navigate the functions of GTWorld .

Ever since you upgraded GTWorld , I’m no longer able to recharge my smile mobile line. But again, the new app solved so many nagging issues I have with the bank in the past. I will you can do same upgrading/remodeling with some of your bank people 😂😱😊.

I switched to GT bank because of the ease of GTWorld. Nigerian banking institutions aren’t known for having the best banking apps, but GTWorld isn’t clunky and it’s pretty simple to use.
Most of all, it allows you to login with faceID which can be very beneficial when you don’t remember your password.

GTWorld is ok, there’s just one problem tho, the transaction history. As the name implies, I should be able to see a clear history of every transaction I’ve made, GTWorld doesn’t show the history anymore until you search for specifics....please kindly take it back to the way it was, thank you !

Gtb is 1st secured bank in Nigeria, my gtb app log me out and I don’t have my SIM card cannot receive sms again I contacted gtb customer service I was told they will send me form to fill my people when he get to state I was angry that I think is better to close my account with gtb but I’m telling you they are doing there work to make sure is the owner requested changing of his number all the form I filled about 12 of it after they will email you to call on video to make sure owner is the one making the changes. I give Gtb one trillions Star ✨ funny thing is that I don’t even use my remaining banks again all is dormant because GTB is secured 👌

The new Gtbank banking app is smooth, and the layouts are more sophisticated than the old version.
Navigating GTWorld to make funds transfers and do other transactions are much more easier.
Also, the security features to make my account is much more safer.

I had forgotten having an account with them only for someone to mistakenly send me money using my phone number. GTWorld helped to set up my account and get me back with ease.😍

Usually I don’t write review but this one is really worth it. This new updated this app app is the best I’ve ever seen from GT bank. From the friendly user interface to the smooth user experience. Most importantly the ability to just invest easily without stress directly from GTWorld is just amazing. Thank you GTBANK. ☺️

Update: All seems to be working well now.
Fingerprint keeps having issues every now and then. Now it has stopped completing transactions for new beneficiaries and other bank transfers.

Excellent upgrade but can’t generate soft token again. The soft token help when the bank app isn’t functioning. We can easily login e banking and use the soft token. Kudos anyways ❤️

Although GTWorld had a lot of issues on its first release, I believe the developers worked round the clock to get things up to speed and it all looks seamless now.
