Grocery Pal (List & Savings) Reviews

Most simplistic use of Grocery Pal app is good, but there are serious problems w the more robust features. You can't turn off permanently the Smart Notifications, which notifies of weekly savings. It's so annoying to continually get the pop up and have to click Remind Me Later.
It says you can customize aisles so you can place Produce first, then Cereals next, but GroceryPalListSavings doesn't allow you to tailor any store layouts. It will give your list by alphabetical aisle. They don't have Trader Joe's grocery stores even though they are nationwide. I have to create their unique items 1 at a time. In the actual Shopping Cart area of a particular store, you can't get just get a particular stores Shopping Cart, it's Any Stores. GroceryPalListSavings shows your list as Shopping List/Any Store, but I want a specific store. I go to 5-6 different grocery stores on my route, ea carries unique and specialty items I can only get there. I don't want to see the generic food items for Any Store when I'm shopping at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.
I went into Custom Store & you can't hit Done or Cancel to get out of it. You have to shut down GroceryPalListSavings .

We've been using GroceryPalListSavings for a couple of years now and have, over the last 6 months, been experiencing two identical items being automatically added to the main list. We've identified the phone that does it. This item was deleted from the history and favorites on all three phones. Then when the problem phone launches GroceryPalListSavings , both identical items are added to the list - even though they do not exist on any phone. If the problem phone is not used, and the identical items are deleted from the other two phones, those phones can use GroceryPalListSavings all day and never have the identical items re-added. It is only when the problem phone launches GroceryPalListSavings that the items reappear.

We've gone in multiple times to make sure the item was deleted; we've edited both items (when displayed on the list) so that each one is in a different aisle/store; we've deleted and reinstalled GroceryPalListSavings , but each time the two items reappear. We believe these items exist at the server-cloud side but have no way of checking. Finally, we've reached out to the developer and have never received a response.

I would give GroceryPalListSavings 4 stars if not for this utterly annoying issue and the lack of communication from GroceryPalListSavings developer.

The title says it all. It's by far the best list app I have ever used! It's VERY easy to use and actually fun. If you want to get a particular item in a certain flavor or scent it allows you to actually SCAN the product you need so the list has the EXACT item. It's way awesome and saves a ton of time. Not just that but it also has your ads for the stores in your area so u can see what's on sale and where. If you shop Walmart you know that they price match as well as other stores do. GroceryPalListSavings makes everything be in one spot making shopping fun and easy. It's a MUST HAVE wether your someone who loves to shop or has to pick something up for a family member or friend and you want to be sure u ft the right item.

Love GroceryPalListSavings!!! Only problem I have is that you can only store 200 items. That means you have to delete things you don't buy that often or items start to be deleted as you check them off your list. The shopping cart capacity needs to be increased.
1/3/18 found a way around the storage problem. I put half the aisles in Shop Rite 1 and the other half in Shop Rite 2. Yes, I created a second store. Each store can store up to 150 items so now I can store up to 300. I know this is not the ideal solution, but it works for me.

I have used GroceryPalListSavings for a very long time. My husband is also synced with me. He’ll tell me we need an item and I will say, “put it on the list.” He has learned to add things now without telling me. It’s a great app for both of us! I thought at one point we were not able to use it anymore because it wasn’t updated; I had just switched to an iPhone 12, but I had a sigh of relief when I went back into it and was working. I don’t like to be without GroceryPalListSavings..the last update was 5 yrs ago..I hope it continues to be monitored and updated since this is the best I have found.

This grocery list app is wonderful. It allows multiple lists, it saves data both of multiple grocery stores and of prices, it is not too complicated to use and still has lots of features. The two negatives I have seen so far are 1) when in the back of a grocery store I cannot always connect to the network and then the list freezes or blanks because it cannot sync, 2) the items on my favorites list do not update with price, quantity, or other data changes. Overall, this is a fantastic app and I am so glad that I have started using it.

I have probably used six to eight different grocery list apps and this by far is the best! Having a grocery list that allows me to include the price of my items, compare prices and add coupons is more than handy. GroceryPalListSavings has saved me time and money! It saves my items from previous shopping trips and I can add the items back to my list w/ just a few taps. I can arrange my list to match the layout of the stores I shop and add/customize any aisle or category that I choose. I never go shopping without GroceryPalListSavings.

I used to use Grocery IQ, but it started to push for premium membership stuff. All I wanted was a simple grocery list. I went looking for a new app and stumbled upon Grocery Pal. It fit the bill perfectly! Not quite as intuitive or nice looking as Grocery Pal, but it has some definite advantages.

I like that it has more aisle categories and that I can easily share my list via text or email. I'm just not crazy about the color scheme or the fonts. Can't quite put my finger on why that is.

Definitely worth five stars, though!

I like GroceryPalListSavings as it categorizes everything as i type them and it already has some of the well known brands pre-programmed. I can be in one part of the store and see everything i ned before heading to the next section. One thing tho: there is a bulk section in the store I shop at and it does not have that option here. I cant change one of the Other categories. Other than that, it's much easier than the one i was using before.

Lousy app can’t print coupons If your life depended on it and some like dollar general and and even a Coca Cola one you have to put in your login and password for dollar general and I’m not gonna go to Walgreens just for the Coca Cola one why do I need my member number i should be able to go anywhere and redeem it especially since the coupon doesn’t specify Walgreens in the coupon ad. Just let me print the damm coupon. Also I should be able to print all of the coupons even if they have some in their for $3 and $2 off for the same item because the store will only allow one or the other, plus I don’t know which one I want to use because some are for one and the other is for 2 items off.

GroceryPalListSavings has everything you need to keep track of your shopping lists. Biggest thing for me is keeping track of prices and adding multiple stores to my lists. Most other apps don’t allow price history. It’s simple and easy to add an item and you can customize items. It also lets you add coupons to individual items and set an expiration date. I haven’t seen that on any other app. I wish the developer would come out with more updates but GroceryPalListSavings works well for now.

I have been using it and making lists is hard. It's great to use to compare prices and stuff. It is difficult to use at first when you don't have your items listed but you can add them and with the push of a button it's done and you can even compare the prices to see the difference in what you originally paid for said item and what you're paying now. I recommend giving it a try!

My husband and I have tried to use GroceryPalListSavings for two years and we are finally done. It doesn't sync correctly so items I add do not show up on his list, causing us to have to go to the grocery store multiple times for what should easily be a once a week shop. To try to get GroceryPalListSavings to sync, we both completely shut it down and relaunch it and it still does not have the same list on each of our phones. If you are hoping to use this to build a grocery list with more than one person populating the list, save yourself some frustration and time and find a different system.

My wife and I have use GroceryPalListSavings for several years. All we wanted was a simple grocery list in the Cloud that we could both access when going to the store, we didn’t need the advanced features. This List gives us that. The only issues we’ve had is when we run out of charge on our phone or we can’t get connected to the Cloud.

I enjoyed using GroceryPalListSavings from 2014 to 2016. I always found what I needed at any grocery store with GroceryPalListSavings. I still have my grocery list in GroceryPalListSavings , I will not remove it. I hope to get back to using in the next year or two. I enjoyed shopping with my list in GroceryPalListSavings every time. I highly recommend everyone to use GroceryPalListSavings.

Valuable app. I just wish the coupons would sync with my list, and organize more easily. For example, if I type "milk" and I want to check for milk coupons, I should be able to click on "coupon" and be brought directly to the list of milk coupons. As it works right now, I don't use the coupon feature because it is too cumbersome. Otherwise great app.

Looked like GroceryPalListSavings had everything I was looking for. I entered my items and went to send the list via text messaging. It launches the texting feature but doesn't populate the list in the body of the text. I searched the web and the web developers web site for help and I could not find anything that would resolve my issue. If I can resolve this issue I think GroceryPalListSavings would be exactly what I was looking for. But until then.... I'll keep looking.

I just wish it did EVERY store in my area, even the Mom and Pop stores!! I really Love GroceryPalListSavings, especially when I'm price matching at Walmart!! I just add all the sale items I want to the shopping list....Then I just pull up the list when I am at the checkout!! It shows all items, their price, and what store they are at for that price!! Makes Price Matching a BREEZE!!!!

Seriously the first thing I look at before I go buy groceries. Especially since I'm a big soda buyer. I always look to see who had the best 12 Pack deals and then take it to Walmart to get a price match. A lot handier than going by stores just to get their weekly ads when you can just look them up on here. Highly recommend.

GroceryPalListSavings is budget friendly! Easiest to price compare when looking for best deal on multiple or specific items. The only thing that would make it better would be to see the price of the item you are looking for in each store at the instant you search for it.
